In Psalm 119:29-30, he wanted to put false ways far from him, for God to be gracious to them by teaching them to obey the Law of Moses, and he chose the way of faith by setting it before him, so this has always been the one and only way of salvation by grace through faith. Jesus saves us from our sin (Matthew 1:21) and it is by the Law of Moses that we have knowledge of what sin is (Romans 3:20), so Jesus graciously teaching us to experience being a doer of the Law of Moses is intrinsically the way that he is giving us his gift of saving us from not being a doer of it. If someone thinks that have no obligation to obey the Law of Moses, then they are also opposed to the position that they need salvation.

Define Sin
The Hebrew word “yada” refers to intimate knowledge gained by experience, such as with Genesis 4:1 where Adam knew (yada) Eve, she conceived, and gave birth to Cain. God’s way is the way to know (yada) Him and Jesus by experiencing being in His likeness through embodying His character traits, which is the narrow way to eternal life (John 17:3). For example, in Genesis 18:19, God knew (yada) Abraham that he would teach his children and those of His household to walk in His way by being doers of righteousness and justice that the Lord might bring to him all that He has promised. In Exodus 33:13, Moses wanted God to be gracious to him by teaching him to walk in His way that he and Israel might know (yada) Him, and in Matthew 7:23, Jesus said that he would tell those who are workers of lawlessness to depart from him because he never knew them, so the goal of the law is to graciously teach us how to know (yada) God and Jesus, which is His gift of eternal life.

To know God is to know truth. An arrow flies true when it hits its mark, our mark is to walk in God’s way, and God’s law is truth (Psalms 119:142) because it was given to teach us how to walk in God’s way (1 Kings 2:1-3) while sin is missing the mark, sin is what is contrary to God’s character traits, and sin is the transgression of God’s law (1 John 3:4). The Spirit has the role of leading us in truth (John 16:13) and of leading us to obey God’s law (Ezekiel 36:26-26) because God’s character traits are the fruits of the Spirit. The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact likeness of His character (Hebrews 1:3), which he embodied through his works by setting a sinless example for us to follow of how to walk in obedience to God’s law, so he is the way, the truth, and the life, and the way to know the Father (John 14:6-11).

1.) Its MOSES Law that defines a person as a sinner, because its Moses Law and Commandments that are broken which define you, until you become a born again CHRISTian.
I had a strong battle with the law some years ago.
I used to give the same arguments for following Moses law until Grace found me.

It's not an easy conversion.

There are spiritual lessons in those 613 laws that was given to Israel, but they didn't hear the lesson.
There are also prophecies that Jesus came to fulfill.

The Lord often said, you can't hear my voice.
Psa 81:11
But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would none of me.
Jer 7:23
But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.

When Paul wrote:
1Co 9:9
For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen?
1Co 9:10
Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope.

I realized there was more to the law then just the physical actions. There was a spiritual lesson to be learned.
And we are told:
Jhn 4:24
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Rom 7:6
But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

The oldness of the letter.

Zec 7:12
Yea, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear the law, and the words which the LORD of hosts hath sent in his spirit by the former prophets: therefore came a great wrath from the LORD of hosts.

2Co 3:12
Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:

And not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:

It took a few years. But thanks be to God and many people I came across who took the time to make it clear and to open my understanding.

Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.

I'm just saying, I understand the journey, and patience is key.

Would you like to know a little more about me before you accuse me of anything?

I am 61. I live with my dad who had a stroke a couple years back and am now taking care of him 24/7/365.
I haven't left my property for 2 years now. I haven't even registered my car.
I wake up in the morning. I give God thanks for another day. My health isn't in the greatest shape either. And another day is always a blessing.
I have to use a Hoyer to raise my dad up out of bed and glide him over to his recliner. I make his breakfast and I make sure he is comfortable.
I make myself a cup of coffee and watch Washington Journal on C-Span for 3 hours every morning listening to people complain about how dreadful life is for them.
I enjoy politics and watching the world go round.
Sometimes dad likes a snack of grapes and cheese and a few crackers before I have to use the Hoyer to glide him back over to his bed for a nap.
3 days a week we have a CNA and a Nurse come in to take his vitals and help me shave him and change him and give him a bath.
Dad has gout, so we have to keep a close eye on his feet. And I have to make sure I prepare meals that won't trigger it like shellfish and organ meats. He has trouble swallowing so I have to cut up everything kind of small.

I try to take a nap when dad does, but I have 5 cats that love to hog my bed, and use me as a trampoline. But I may get about an hour or so if I'm lucky.

Ofcourse there is always the daily chores, washing the laundry and dishes, making sure the bills get paid on time. Vacuuming the floors and trying to keep things clean.
My cats love to dig all the litter out of the box and throw it all over the floor. Everyday.

Dad has arthritis bad in his hands so when he eats, needless to say, sometimes the food don't make it to his mouth.
But I don't want to take that away from him yet. It is the only thing he can still do for himself.
He can't walk, he can't stand. He can't use the toilet. He can use the remote control on the tv though. and he loves the volume button.

I get him up from his nap and start dinner. Sometimes I might play a game of solitaire on the computer while things are cooking.
And I sit with him for all our meals together. We don't talk much. Usually we watch the westerns or talk a bit about politics.
Dad is a political junkie too lol.

Around 8pm he tells me he is ready for bed. I have to empty his catheter bag, remove his dentures, give him his pills, put heel protectors on his feet because if I don't he gets sores on his heels. And at 91 things don't heal as fast as they used to and can turn into infections if not careful.

Right now it is 930 pm. I just grabbed myself another cup of coffee and am here talking with my beautiful friends and family.
I may go to bed somewhere between 1-3 am. I don't sleep much. I have to keep my ears open incase dad calls.

So I have to ask, what sin are you accusing me of?
What do you know that I don't?
I know God, God knows me. Jesus lives in my heart and I am free.
