Applying a wee bit of common sense helps to root out the bogus interpretations.
Would God create such a sadistic and inhumane place? To what end?
Simple, to punish the wicked.....What is the alternative? Evil in Heaven?
Either way it is what it is.....Hell exists. The only alternative for you is to right your own Bible.
As it is the Christian Bible makes it clear that Hell exists as a fiery eternal punishment....
Matthew 5:22 But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother will be liable to the council; and whoever says, ‘You fool!’ will be liable to the
Gehenna of fire.
Matthew 5:29-30 If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body be thrown into Gehenna. And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body go into Gehenna.

2nd Thessalonians 1:8-9

suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might,
Jude 1:7 Just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, which likewise indulged in sexual immorality and pursued unnatural desire, they serve as an example by
undergoing a punishment of eternal fire.
Revelation 1:18 And the living one. I died, and behold I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades.

he will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.
Revelation 14:11
And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever, and they have no rest, day or night, these worshipers of the beast and its image, and whoever receives the mark of its name.
Revelation 19:20 And the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who in its presence had done the signs by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped its image.
These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur.
Revelation 20:10 And the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were,
and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
