Reader,

Real faith.... is getting to the place in your faith where you realize that...

1.) "if God accepted me and saved me forever = Through the Cross of Christ, while i was yet a sinner, and that was before i tried to be good and do right, then ................"

Or this one...

2.) "When God saved me, He already knew all about every carnal deed and thought that i would produce AFTER i was saved, and yet God saved me anyway KNOWING all this about me"........

See those 2.) ??

A Christian has to come to understand those 2, so that they can stop trying to earn something that cant be earned and keep something that can't be kept. = God's GRACE and Eternal Salvation.

Listen,
Its God who Keeps US, because its God who saves us. Philippians 1:6
Its God who will never let us go.
Its Christ's Blood that has made sure of our Eternal Salvation.

So, once we understand we are eternally SUSTAINED by God's Grace.., and this becomes our Real Faith, = once we stop trying to do Salvation, and instead REST inside it by Real Faith....... then we at that moment finally stop trying to serve God for the wrong reasons, and everything changes about out walk of faith because we have become enlightened.........or as Paul teaches.......>"as many as be perfect".

Reader,

If the Heretics have you trying to stay saved by "enduring to the end" or "commandment keeping" or "Moses Law" or "trying to abide" or believing that faith keeps you saved........then here is how to get away from their LEGALISM TRAPS.

Very simple.........but you have to learn something, that is the Key to your perfect freedom.

You have to learn that Salvation is provided by God, .. its a GIFT you can't earn or keep, and its based on the shed Blood and death of Jesus and Imputed Righteousness.

Whereas...

Discipleship, is not Salvation.
Christian DIscipleship is what you are to practice as your lifestyle, ... not to stay saved, and not to be saved, but because you are ALREADY SAVED.

So, you. have to learn that Salvation is All of GOD...........freely given as The Cross of Christ......and this is not your Discipleship.

Discipleship is what you do AFTER you have RECEIVED FROM GOD........His ETERNAL ""Gift of Salvation.""

Now, when we find a deceived Believer, trying to not lose their salvation, or they believe they can......then 99.9% of the time, they have not yet understood that God's SALVATiON...........is not their DISCIPLESHIP.

Salvation is whom God has provided on The Cross for you 2000 yrs ago...........

A.) Jesus is Salvation

Whereas Discipleship is all that "works stuff" you do.........like commandment keeping and water baptism, and church membership.

Notice now and understand that you can be saved and be a poor disciple but you're born again.
OR, you can be a DISCIPLE> only.. who is on your way to Hell and who is water baptized, trying to keep commandments, who is posting verses on a Forum..., claiming to be a Christian, .... and never miss a Sunday in Church.

Behold,

Again, your post contains important truths, but you draw conclusions that Jesus never taught.

I agree that salvation is God's gift and cannot be earned. I agree that Christ died for us while we were still sinners, and that God knows the end from the beginning. These are glorious truths.

However, you repeatedly separate salvation from the very discipleship that Jesus said is necessary for those who belong to Him.

You say that "trying to abide," "enduring to the end," and "commandment keeping" are legalism. Yet these are not the teachings of Moses or of men. They are the direct words of Jesus.

Jesus said:

“If ye abide in my word, then are ye truly my disciples.” (John 8:31, ASV)

He also said:

“If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.” (John 15:10, ASV)

And again:

“He that endureth to the end, the same shall be saved.” (Matthew 24:13, ASV)

If abiding, keeping His commandments, and enduring to the end are "legalism," then those are Jesus' words you are calling legalism.

You say salvation and discipleship are completely separate, but Jesus never made that distinction. He did not preach one message for salvation and another for discipleship. He called everyone who would come after Him to become His disciple.

“If any man would come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.” (Luke 9:23, ASV)

Following Christ is not an optional lifestyle for a special group of believers. It is the calling of everyone who belongs to Him.

You also say someone can be saved while being a poor disciple. Yet Jesus warned:

“Why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?” (Luke 6:46, ASV)

And:

“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 7:21, ASV)

Those are solemn warnings spoken to people who believed they belonged to Him.

I agree that no one earns salvation by works. But obedience is not an attempt to earn salvation. It is the fruit of genuine faith.

Jesus said:

“If ye love me, ye will keep my commandments.” (John 14:15, ASV)

Notice He did not say, "If you love Me, do not concern yourself with obedience because that would be legalism." He said the very opposite.

Perhaps the greatest error in your teaching is reducing discipleship to "works stuff" such as commandment keeping. Jesus never spoke that way. Keeping His commandments is not merely "works stuff." It is the expression of love toward Him.

Finally, you present a choice that Scripture never presents: either trust in Christ or follow Christ. Jesus never separated the two. The one who truly believes Him follows Him, abides in Him, keeps His commandments, bears fruit, and endures to the end. None of these earn salvation, but neither did Jesus ever dismiss them as optional or legalistic.

The gospel Jesus preached is both full of grace and full of truth. It calls us to believe in Him and to follow Him. We should never set one against the other.
