Did you get baptized in Jesus' Name as Jesus / Peter COMMANDED? I don't want you to burn in Hell for being baptized wrong!
I really don't see where in the bible we are told that a person who has believed on the Lord Jesus Christ will burn in hell because their baptism was deficient. Besides, the command of Jesus was not to baptize in His name, but in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit:

(Mat 28:19) Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

Granted, Peter says in Acts 2:38, "in the name of Jesus Christ," but as commentator John Gill wrote on that verse: "in the name of Jesus Christ; not to the exclusion of the Father, and of the Spirit, in whose name also this ordinance is to be administered, Mat_28:19 but the name of Jesus Christ is particularly mentioned, because of these Jews, who had before rejected and denied him as the Messiah; but now, upon their repentance and faith, they are to be baptized in his name, by his authority, according to his command; professing their faith in him, devoting themselves to him, and calling on his name."

I find it worth noting that Jesus said:

(Mar 16:16) He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.

He didn't say, "He who is not baptized will be condemned," or "He who is baptized in the wrong way will be condemned."

I agree David, but he / she insisted we must be baptized to be saved.

Huh?

You're playing word games!
Acts 2:38
38 Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins;

Guess Who taught Peter personally. His Name is Jesus!

And NOBODY was baptized Father, Son and Holy Spirit!

(SINGULAR not NAMES} And that's what Peter commanded, "in the Name of Jesus Christ"!

You better stop preaching water baptism for salvation. You ain't baptized right!

Are people who are baptized in Jesus' Name saved?
he is not performing a baptism!

he is not saying nor anyone else "I baptize you in the name of Jesus"!

only mt 28:19 are the apostles commanded to teach and baptize!

in the name of God!

father son a holy spirit!

The Didache, an extremely early document, says to baptize in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Tertullian and Cyprian both support and attest to this practice (Tertullian, Against Praxeas 26; Cyprian Letter 72.18).

On the other hand, I’m not aware of anyone in the early church who only baptized in the name of Jesus. So that suggests one of two things. Either that their copies of Matthew included the Trinitarian formula, or that they were following the oral teaching of the apostles, which taught to baptize in the name of the Trinity.

Pentecostalism. This movement has splintered into many different denominations, fellowships and churches, but they share a common belief that Christian baptism should not include the phrase “in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit” (Matthew 28:19) because the Trinity is an Anti-Christ concept.

acts 2:38 the command to be baptized is given in the name of Jesus not the baptism itself!

do you also believe acts 2:39? infants must be baptized?

thks

It is a COMMANDMENT of God that you are ignoring.

Acts 2:38
38 Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins;

Running water? Where do we read that in the bible as a requirement for baptism? Granted, many were baptized in rivers, which were "running water", but as far as I am aware, we are not told anywhere in the bible that the water used to baptise somebody had to be running water.
why does it need to be in scripture?

thks

Because Scripture is God's inspired word:

(2Ti 3:16) All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
(2Ti 3:17) that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

It has the authority of God Himself. If somebody adds something to what the Bible says, whether it is having to use running water for baptism, or extra details about the childhood of Jesus, or anything else, it has no such authority, and will probably disagree with what somebody else says.

When Paul preached to the Bereans, they checked in the Bible (they would only have had the Old Testament back then) to see whether what Paul preached was true:

(Act 17:10) Then the brethren immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea. When they arrived, they went into the synagogue of the Jews.
(Act 17:11) These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.

you don't understand Peter's words or you would not prefer them to those of your Lord! mt 28:19
