This opinion by Ravi Shah lacks integrity if the "new information" is not validated first to check if it requires a person to change their opinion or understanding. Sadly, many people change their opinion/understanding based on very faulty data/information without evaluating the "new information" first and just blindly accept that the "new Information" is valid. True intelligence is when a person first check if the "new information" requires them to change their opinion or understanding and then does so if it is shown that it is necessary.
I believe that this should be expanded a tad like this: -
“Jesus doesn’t exist for our agendas; we, {who are willing to take up our cross to become his disciples}, exist for His mission.” - Shane Pruitt[1]
The inserted {who are willing to take up our cross to become His disciples} simply qualifies who the "we" are.

Matthew 16:24-26: - Take Up Your Cross and Follow Jesus
24 Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. 25 For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. 26 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?
