<10.
I don't subscribe to OSAS and I think the bar is a lot higher than I was taught when I attended church. I believe we'll be judged on our works like it says in Revelation. Sins unto death disqualify us.
That being said, I see more fruit in my life now so Im way more confident than before.

I’m 100% confident God can save who he wants. Am not going to claim I know who is going to be saved, including me.
God in his word tells us who he shall save.

And those whom he calls are those whom he saves. And we who are in him know this.

This is the Golden Chain of Salvation spoken of by Paul in Romans 8.

What happened?
It may be the closest church we've seen but we still had some issues with some of the practices and beliefs after much research.

We decided to give up trying to find a church and decided to simply be the church at our home. We've invited others to join us too. So far, no regular attendees but we know we're the church as a husband and wife with little ones. We worship the Lord in Spirit and in Truth every day.

Finding a good church... The most important figure is the senior pastor. I have seen good churches go bad due to the pastor changes. I would not look at the denomination but to get to know the people. If it is a good bunch of people I would join. Here is a few lines from an old Smith Wigglesworth devotion I did...

Discernment, Sanctification, and Deception

Smith Wigglesworth, like his earlier Methodist mentors, believed discernment and sanctification as something that sweetens the spirit up, making people more spiritual and loving. His wife once testified that she knew Smith was sanctified when he quit complaining about his food. Wigglesworth states that we are sanctified so that nothing hinders us in the manifestation of the Glory of God. In this way we are robbed of all pride, evil, and freely led of the Spirit. Evil thoughts come from the unclean believer, the man who is not entirely sanctified.

Concerning discernment Wigglesworth states, “Most people think they have discernment; but if they would turn their discernment on themselves for twelve months, they would never want to ‘discern’ again. The gift of discernment is not criticism. I am satisfied that in Pentecostal circles today, our paramount need is more perfect love. I have found many notable people in the world whom I know personally, who have gotten to running another person down and finding fault. They are always fault finding and judging people outright. God save us from criticism! When we are pure in heart we only think about pure things.”

The difference between those being led by the Holy Spirit and those who are deceived by Satan is joy, gladness, and a good countenance instead of sadness, sorrow, and depression. Jesus comes with joy into the soul and lifts you higher and higher, it is the spirit who gives light. When satanic power begins to rule; then there is weariness, then people’s faces are like a tragedy, and then their eyes glare as though they have passed through a terrible trial. You are always right to test the spirits (1 John 4:1), if not you will be sure to be caught napping.

I think a good church is where the Bible is preached as the inerrant, infallible Word of God, and where the congregation is loving.

A loving congregation (where the Bible is preached as above) shows fruits of the Spirit. Some people can have Bible knowledge but be unloving...so their knowledge is more about pride.

@Riven The above might be helpful to you on finding a good church.

YES, plus correctly teach what applies today
You can be as loving as ever, believe the Bible is inerrant yet send believers to eternal destruction by wrongly teaching how to enter Heaven eg you must ALSO do X to enter.

This is a question I hate. Advocates say you should be 100% confidant but that doesn't seem humble to me.

How confidant are you? What does that say about your humility?
If we saved ourselves, then it wouldn't be at all humble to say, "I am 100% confident that I am saved." But the Lord Jesus Christ is the One Who saves us. All the glory goes to Him. So when a saved person says that they are 100% confident that they are saved, their confidence is in Jesus Christ, not in themselves.

If we saved ourselves
Don’t hijack another thread. This thread has NOTHING to do with saving ourselves. You don’t think it’s arrogant for a saved person to say they are certain they are saved?

Seems to me anyone saying that doesn’t possess the first divine quality; humility.

their confidence is in Jesus Christ, not in themselves.

Switching faith with confidence here. Even those who claim him as Lord and perform miracles in his name are not saved. That doesn’t suggest certainty EVEN IF we perform miracles.

How then can anyone be certain who doesn’t perform miracles?

I was simply responding to your OP, and your suggestion that somebody who claims to be 100% certain that they are saved cannot be humble. I didn't say that the thread did have anything to do with saving ourselves. I started my post by saying "If we saved ourselves, then it wouldn't be at all humble to say........" I didn't mean that the thread was about saving ourselves, just pointing out that as salvation is all of Christ and His completed work, saying that we are 100% confident in our salvation is expressing our confidence in our Saviour. Responding to an OP is not hijacking a thread. I would never do such a thing.

Being fully confident of salvation is not a lack of humility when that confidence rests in Christ rather than in yourself.

John wrote, “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life” ~1 John 5:13. Paul said, “I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him” ~2 Timothy 1:12.

Biblical humility does not doubt what God has plainly promised. It agrees with God. Christ said of His sheep, “I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish” ~John 10:28.

At the same time, assurance is not based on a past prayer, church membership, or a mere claim to believe. Scripture says, “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith” ~2 Corinthians 13:5. Christ’s sheep hear His voice and follow Him ~John 10:27.

So my confidence is not, “I could never fail.” My confidence is, “Christ saves completely, keeps His own, and His work produces continuing faith.” Doubting yourself can be humility. Doubting God’s promise is not.
but it does rest on us as well, after the initial grace of justification "we must participate" unto eternal salvation!

perseverance is not automatic!
