Those verses sound very scary GH.
Maybe the writer of Hebrews didn't really mean them??

It almost sounds like we could forfeit our salvation.
Can it be?

I would suppose that if it's written in the bible,
then it must be true.

Writing on this forum is kinda like texting and a person's intent can be misunderstood.
It is an absolute fact that a person can lose their salvation and a Christian can lose faith and they can sin their way to Hell.
As the scriptures say.....work out our salvation with fear and trembling. Salvation is a journey and Yeshua expects us to be good and do good....to the best of our ability. You are so sweet I imagine it is easy for you. But it is not so easy for others so they come up with this belief that Grace is a license to sin.
Then again, Yeshua is with us on our journey and it is important to walk with Yeshua. Because when we trip He is there to pick us up and dust us off and continue on our journey. Salvation is not easily lost, particularly if our intent is good. As Yahweh said.....If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it Genesis 4:7

What did Paul teach were the ACTION requirements to be saved/sealed/justified/made righteous ?
Let's see :_

Let's SEE
IF YOU SEE

IF what you have posted below means what YOU THINK it means,,,
then I suggest we ditch our bibles because there is great conflict here.

BTW,,,It would be nice if you replied to my posts to you:

Not easy, I suppose.

Titus 3:
5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
WORKS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS.

ANY WORK THAT IS DONE TRYING TO GAIN SALVATION.
SALVATION IS GAINED BY FAITH.
EPH 2:8

Gal 2:
16
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

PLEASE FIND OUT WHAT WORKS OF THE LAW ARE.
THE LAW WAS ABOLISHED 2 THOUSAND YEARS AGO.

21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

AGAIN,
THE LAW WAS ABOLISHED 2 THOUSAND YEARS AGO.

YOU HAVE QUITE SOME STUDYING TO DO.

Gal 3:
2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?
24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster
YES SIR.
YOU NEED TO LEARN HOW TO CHERRY PICK YOUR VERSES BETTER.
YOU SEEM TO BE STUCK ON WORKS OF THE LAW.

DO YOU KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A WORK OF THE LAW
AND A WORK COMMANDED BY JESUS?

CHECK MY LIST.

Rom 3:
28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
FINALLY !
YOU GOT ONE !

MAN IS SAVED BY FAITH.

SO?
EVERY CHRISTIAN BELIEVES THIS.

THE QUESTION IS....
HOW DO WE STAY SAVED?

BY OBEYING JESUS
OR BY IGNORING WHAT HE TAUGHT?

Eph 2:
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
THEOLOGY 101.
AGAIN
HOW TO GET SAVED.

HOW DO WE STAY SAVED?

BY OBEYING JESUS
OR BY NOT OBEYING HIM?

Rom 4:
5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
AGAIN.

NO WORKS WILL SAVE SOMEONE.
AFTER WE'RE SAVED WE ARE REQUIRED TO OBEY GOD.

JOHN 3.36
36He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”

TO BE SAVED WE MUST:

° BELIEVE IN THE SON
° OBEY THE SON

Rom 5:
1
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
WE ARE JUSTIFIED BY FAITH.
NOT BY WORKS.

YOU SEEM TO BE STUCK AT JUSTIFICATION.
IF YOU KEEP STUDYING YOU'LL FIND OUT ABOUT SANCITFICATION.

JUSTIFICATION LASTS ONE SECOND.
THEN YOU MUST LEARN THE FAITH AND CONTINUE IN IT.

COLOSSIANS 1:21-23

21And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds,

22yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach—

23if indeed you continue in the faith firmly established and steadfast,

THERE ARE A LOT OF IF'S IN THE NT.
YOU SHOULD LEARN TO PAY ATTENTION TO THEM.

Rom 11:
6
And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.
OH WELL.
WE'RE BACK TO STATING HOW TO GET SAVED AGAIN.

PLEASE LEARN TO MOVE ON.

AND YOU NEVER REPLIED TO MY POST.
HERE'S SOMETHING YOU MIGHT WANT TO RESPOND TO...

John 15:1-2

1“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.
2“Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away;

Please note:

° The believer is IN JESUS.
° The believer does not bear fruit...does not obey Jesus...does not do good works.
° The believer is taken away from the vine.

The unfruitful branch is cut off.
Unfruitful believers are cut off.

JESUS taught the above.

I always recommend obeying Jesus.

I think he just needs to do a little more studying.

God has conditions.

Some on these forums don't like that.
They want FREE GRACE,,,FAITH ALONE...

But that's not what JESUS taught.

I always suggest that we obey what JESUS taught.

The bible …
…teaches how to be saved and STAY saved.

Here is a comphehensive list of verses for you.

Taken straight from my bible,
begining with Matthew.

Where did you get yours??

Matthew 3:10
3:12
4:4
4:17

5:3-10
5:13
5:16
5:19
5:20
5:22
5:24
5:28
5:29
5:30
5:32
5:42
5:44
5:48

6:1
6:3
6:6
6:15
6:19
6:24

Now the above are actions.
JESUS taught this.
JESUS the one you think you are following.

If you are a serious student of the bible,

You will read each one and believe it.
Because Jesus said this and taught this for YOU.

There are many, many more...
but it's a good start.

Of course, reading the list can be dangerous...
you might actually learn what God expects from you

and you want God to expect nothing from you.

And now I'll go through YOUR list...
A believer is saved as long as:

° He believes in God.
° He obeys God

This is basically what Jesus taught.

The bible is not a COMPREHENSIVE list of verses Peter.
It's a teaching.
It teaches how to be saved and STAY saved.

Seems you believe, a man CAN become MADE SAVED, And REMAIN Saved…
While also “believing” OSAS, is unbiblical Teaching.

A contradiction.

Well it a matter of a person's approach to biblical study. Does a person go to the Bible to prove what they want to believe or learn what belief is true. The later is wrong thinking. You have to take the scriptures as a whole. Yahweh so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son to offer a means of salvation. It all would have been a waste of time if a person could lose his or her salvation at the drop of a hat. You pretty much have to work at losing your salvation. But imagine one of these guys standing before Yeshua on Judgment Day, telling Him that Grace is a license to sin.

I'm tired of non-biblical teachings Taken.

If you were tired of non-biblical teachings you'd stop with your Mary obsession and you'd repent of your total lack of Faith in Christ to keep you saved.
-

Listen,

What Paul teaches is that "God hath made Jesus to BE SIN" for the born again.... as "the ONE TIME>..,. Eternal Sacrifice for sin".

And this BLOOD ATONEMENT, that is the NEW COVENANT, also took care of the Law, so that the born again is not "Under the Law but under (God's) Grace".

Now, if you are under the law, then the Law can define what you do, as sin, transgression, iniquity, and evil, and rebellion...ect.
But because "God hath made Jesus to be SIN for us"", as "the one time ETERNAL Sacrifice for sin".........then that takes care of the sin of a born again Christian, FOREVER.

And because the born again "is NOT = UNDER THE LAW, but Unde (God's) Grace".......then the Law can never ever again define what a Christian does as sin, iniquity, transgression, or evil, or rebellion.

Now this does not mean that the Christian is going to be perfect, in behavior........it simply means that God's Grace has taken the Law away from the Born again, so that the Law can't define you as a sinner or your deeds as sin, ever again.

Eternal Result?

"Where there is no LAW, there is no Transgression (sin)".... found.

The Born again, are born again as "In Christ", and "one with God".
The Born again is BIRTHED Spiritually by God's Holy Spirit, INTO the KOG..

Now, is there any sin in the KOG?
Is there any Sin found in God?
Is there any Sin found in Christ?

And the born again is "in Christ"..."one with God".....forever birthed into the KOG........and there is no sin found there, because there is no Moses Law found there..., and that is why the born again are "made free from Sin"....forever.

Welcome to : SALVATION...........its a FREE ETERNAL GIFT from God.... "the GIFT of Salvation".

BUT

Did you see ALL THOSE CHERRY PICKED verses that @PeterAndroz posted?

Scripture…iS FULL of “opposites” which establish “Divisions”, that God Himself set forth…

Light / Dark
Up / Down
With / Without

While “cherry-picking” is “supposed” to IMPLY a Wayward “conclusion”…

Cherry-Picking Literally, is “choosing one Scripture that Applies to an individual … OVER another Scripture that does NOT Apply to the Individual…

For myself, absolutely, I cherry-pick Scriptures, that Apply to me, which ARE Established, “according to my Belief, Commitment AND personal Relationship with the Lord God Almighty.”

You don’t like Gods “Divisions”, so What?

An individuals Choices and establishment of a Personal Relationship WITH the Lord God, has “nothing” to do with you or your choices.

Every individual Shall be Justly Judged, on what that individual Picks, Chooses, to Believe and Do.

Glory to God,

There are no OPPOSITES in scipture.

Either the NT is one complete thought,
totally harmonized and containing ONE MEANING...

or we can throw it out and make up our own theology...
which is what is going on here.

Agreed 100%

We'd better stop and see what Jesus taught about salvation.
Instead of what @Behold teaches about it or the word salad @Taken uses.

Jesus was plain and clear in His teachings.

Since HE is the one that will be doing the judging....

I recommend that we find out what HE had to say about salvation
and about staying saved.

For instance...

here is something jesus taught.

John 15:1-2
1“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.
2“Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away;

° Every branch IH ME
that does not bear fruit

° He takes away

I tend to listen carefully when Jesus speaks.

No.
The Law was NOT abolished.

Glory to God,
Taken
I certainly do hope, then, that you do not take your own advice
and are living under The Law.

IF though that is quite impossible.

And @PeterAndroz asks YOU for advice!

We better dig deep into the NT BEFORE we die.

This is another one I don't like to talk about. The whole book of Hebrews is a warning against apostacy. And it says that if you fall away, there's no going back. There's a reason this book is in the Bible.

Here is another one bro -

1Kor 9:22 To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all people, that by all means I might save some.
1Kor 9:23 I do it all for the sake of the gospel, that I may share with them in its blessings.
1Kor 9:24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it.
1Kor 9:25 Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable.
1Kor 9:26 So I do not run aimlessly; I do not box as one beating the air.
1Kor 9:27 But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.

That does not sound very OSAS as well.

Assumption.

Unless you can offer Scripture.

Have already “explicitly” discussed this.
I can not, read, study, understand “FOR you”.

“IF” is the Requirement.
“IF” an individual “fulfills the “Requirement”….
“THEN”… he shall Receive the Offered Gift of Salvation, that was Purchased for him.

“IF” he doesn’t Fulfill the “Requirement”… do you require the Toddler version, of WHY, he doesn’t Receive the “Gift”, purchased for him?

Rom 10:
[9] That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead,
(THEN…)thou shalt be saved.

That does not sound very OSAS as well.

Salvation…is an Offered Gift from God….TO humans.

It is OFFERED TO: Bodily Alive men.

It is Accepted or Rejected: BY Bodily Alive men.

That Gift IS ONLY “Given” a man…
AFTER a mans Bodily DEATH!

Ya think, human Body’s, accept the Gift, over and over, and bodily die, over and over…?

Utter nonsense.

YOU are the one that never uses scripture
or uses it incorrectly.
@ProDeo uses scripture.

You instead, by your own admisstion,,DISCUSS.
Discussing is not using scripture.
Discussing is stating YOUR opinion.
Your opinion should interest no one on this thread.

Like the above for instance.
Romans 10...

what do you think BELIEVE means??

What do you think BELLIEVE WITH THE HEART means?

§What do you think CONFESS WITH THE MOUTH is?
Is it a work?
Is it something you DO?

Does believe have some attributes to it that must be followed?

Or is it a mental belief like even the demons have?

Your posts make little sense and follow nothing of what Jesus teaches.
