Well if a pastor is getting paid its a yearly salary their getting paid correct?

And you leave your purse behind cause your not getting paid money enough to need a purse...

This is getting old.... so I'll finnish with one last post, I cant find in Jesus's time that anyone got paid to preach, sure they got feed and their everyday needs like the oxen were met as they did Gods will by those they served but they were never paid to show up a preach....

Ok ok 1 more... I think the problem with getting paid and mainly alot of money is someone saying.. hey what a nice gig you got going here... I can see why your a preacher...I would (imagine) if a pastor has 2 offers hes more likely to take the one with the most cash...

To the morning star thing, now I believe...... that most christians dont use a concordence and only read the bible..... and if the niv is the number 1 seller when someone goes up and says satan didnt fall jesus did and then grabs their niv bible and shows them morning star in both places, the avg christian wont have any idea what to do.... and since its the number 1 seller I imagine most new christians would be likely to get it at whatever percentage that might be.... If... it said son of the morning or something other than morning star you wouldnt have that problem but it doesnt... and as we get closer to the end theres more chance for that to happen.

I have no problem with overseers getting paid, if indeed they labor. However, the system that has been created has produced a professional Christian class who are more concerned with how much money they can get instead of tending the flock. They go to Bible college and get a degree, then set out to pursue a Christian career. Not that much different from the world.
