Vice President JD Vance says one of Satan’s deceptions is convincing Christians that faith belongs in one part of life while politics belongs in another. In a recent conversation with Bishop Robert Barron, Vance argued that Jesus Christ is Lord over all of life, not just private morality or church attendance, and that believers should not treat politics, economics, and public policy as areas beyond God’s concern.

Vance called for a more fully Christian politics, warning against the temptation to make idols out of economic growth, corporations, or cultural comfort. He said Christians have often been willing to apply their faith to a few social issues while ignoring how biblical truth should shape other parts of national life, including the economy, family policy, and the dignity of the human person.

For many believers, Vance’s message is a reminder that Christian faith cannot be confined to a private corner. If Christ is truly Lord, then His truth speaks not only to marriage and family, but also to government, justice, and the moral direction of society. In that sense, Vance argued, separating faith from politics is not neutrality, but a spiritual deception.

That too. I don't believe there's no place for religion in politics; however, the Constitution is clear: The government cannot endorse one religion over another.

Vance seems a little hypocritical when he says "Jesus Christ is Lord over all of life." I agree with that statement, but I don't see how he can say it with a straight face and still support the current president and many of his policies.

The Constitution does not say the government can't endorse one religion over another. HAHA. What did you read? It says that Congress can make NO LAW.. here I quote-
1st amendment-
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Nowhere does it say that a president, a congressmen or VP can not endorse his religion. They are also allowed to have the freedom to practice their religion. The founders certainly did endorse Christianity, and they wrote the Constitution! Endorsing something is far apart form making something a LAW. It seems that you are confused.

It's terribly disrespectful to say that the VP does not know the Constitution. We will be held accountable for the things we say. I urge caution on your part. You don't have to like Trump- that doesn't make it ok to speak ill of him or the VP or of ANYONE. We are Christians and are taught to speak evil of no one. Pointing a finger at what someone else does is easy... but paying attention to our own words is hard, but of utmost importance to God - as you claim Christ as your Lord- so walk in Him. Do you see what I am saying?
Trumps' policies? If that's what you oppose, FINE. Bring it on. I may or may not agree with you.-- But the personal slanders and verbal attacks are not ok for Christians. It's a disgrace. They claim they don't like the hate he tweeted while they spew hate out of their mouths non stop. It's utter hypocrisy. They make Christianity look repulsive.
I have read some things on here by believers that I think they will be disciplined by the Lord for. We are not to do what they do. Please be above what I have read. You don't have to have dinner with them. Criticizing policy is fine. Discipline is no fun!
