Do you hear yourself? Apparently not.
You just pit the "natural" meaning of God's word against its spiritual continuity--when "the words are spirit."
What you are doing is exegesis, wrapped in sheep's clothing! - We're done here.
You really need to watch your temper, friend.
How can I pit anything against spiritual continuity when thats a term of your choosing? But it sure is crystal clear you have pit natural meaning against spiritual continuity. The only thing I know about spiritual continuity is that of those in the baha'i faith. Are you of the baha'i faith?
And what natural meaning means is the plain natural simple reading of the passage...in this case the Matthew 13 passage of teh sower. Seems you have entered your own private interpretation of the passage.
These are the points of contention.
{1}
But hearing and seeing--did you notice that those percentages chronologically--diminish and become smaller and smaller?
{2} Which He did repeatedly saying: "
He who has ears to hear, let him hear!" Three or more times in the gospels, and then again seven times in the book of Revelation. Only in the book of Revelation He actually says,
what to hear: "
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”
The first one has been debunked as false. Time has noting to do with the passage, but a yeild does. The Parable of the Sower is in Matthew , Mark and Luke. Its clearly talking about bearing fruit and yeilding a harvest. The believer who hears Jesus and believes , the 4th person of the parable is he who bears fruit and goes out and yeilds his own crop. And that crop can be 100 fold, 60 fold or 30 fold according to the passage.
For number 2, lets take a look at the context. Beggining at verse 1 of Matthew 13 we see Jesus sitting in a boat on the sea speaking to a large crowd of people.
Then we come to verse 9
9
He who has ears, let him hear.”
The Purpose of the Parables
10 Then the
disciples came and said to him, “Why do you speak to them in parables?” 11 And he answered them, “To you it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given. 12 For to the one who has, more will be given, and he will have an abundance, but from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away. 13 This is why I speak to them in parables, because
seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. 14 Indeed, in their case the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled that says:
“ ‘ “You will indeed hear but never understand,
and you will indeed see but never perceive.”
15 For this
people’s heart has grown dull,
and with their ears they can barely hear,
and their eyes they have closed,
lest they should see with their eyes
and hear with their ears
and understand with their heart
and turn, and I would heal them.’
16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see, and your ears, for they hear. 17
For truly, I say to you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.
Do you get it now dear brother? This is the natural, simple plain reading of the scripture.....no need for what you called, "spiritual continuity".
Do you understand the 4 types of people the parable spoke of,.... also present in the crowed of people Jesus was speaking to? Yes all 4 types present that day. Besides the disciples others where there who believed with their heart and understood the parable. Others didnt. It was if they heard and saw, but could not hear and understand.
But brother......those who hear and see The Christ...are those who are given the keys of heaven.....these are those who bears fruit and yeild the crop....some 100, 60, 30.
