Do you think (and it’s still despicable no matter what) they KNOW what they’re doing?

Partly. They know that they are defending a religious scheme that they believe is supported in the bible. Where the dishonesty lies is in ignoring all the verses that condemn their stance. After that pride kicks in...and arrogance....and accusations... so that they think those who criticize them are doing the same thing as they are. Like Lizbeth who always defends her stance with...well you can only be half-right just like me.

Sometimes it seems to me it is hidden from them what they do.

Partly. They just think I am doing as they are....so they defend themselves as being no WORSE than others. But they KNOW they are not doing the will of God beyond their belief in a salvation scheme that justifies the dishonest. They KNOW that they sin....they just think everyone does just like them.

At other times, it angers me and I think they HAVE to know what they’re doing. I don’t know why it matters to me to know if they do or they don’t…except that if I think they don’t, I can pity them and if I think they do I will be angry and can condemn them

I see them as mixed....and mixed up even in what is good. They would need for God Himself to tell them they are going the wrong way. But because they don't seek the Lord and only read the bible ABOUT God, they will never see their great delusion. So they need someone like me to challenge them. :)

Just came back to relate something else I’ve noted in here that also happened with the non religious I grew up with. They used to do an odd thing - one particular person did it a lot - where they would sort of…get mad at me for what I said but then later, I would hear them speaking with someone else with the exact words I had said that they were ANGERED at in our private conversation! It’s like…they stole my words, my view of a thing. And at first I would think, oh, they don’t know they’re doing it, maybe they went away and thought about it and realized it was true but don’t remember me saying it. And I would get a rush of hope that they had seen something good and true. It didn’t even matter to me that I get any “credit” for having been the one who told the truth because of the hope I had. But I eventually came to see that was not what was happening. I don’t know if I can explain what WAS, in fact, happening other than to say…they did see something they esteemed as good, but they sort of stole it to make the goodness seem to others like it was theirs? And once or twice I would later say, so you DO agree with me on that even though it at first made you angry to hear, because I heard you repeat it! And they would act as if they had ALWAYS thought so and had no idea what I was talking about. They were only adjusting or perfecting their mask, their put on persona, so others would think them good or admirable. But they never LIVED as though they BELIEVED that goodness they stole.
I don’t know if that makes sense to you, but I see people do that to you in here, and just like with those I grew up with, there is one person in particular who does it incessantly, steals goodness they see, and then projects their badness onto you as if it were yours, as if no one can see what they attempt to do.
Its despicable, and they seem as if they want to appear as an angel of light to others and I can’t quite understand WHY…I‘m missing that piece.

Just want to mention that you have come in very late to a conversation that has been going on for a very long time. You'd have to go back to the beginning to be able to know and judge with actual righteous judgment what individual posters have believed and stood for from the beginning.

So I guess we are to take it that constant belittling and demeaning people, along with never ending false accusations isn't despicable to you though.....ok then sister. Thank you, enough said.

That's a bad translation. It should read ..." He by us was made sin who knew no sin." It doesn't say the word "God" in the verse. It is fully corrupt to add in extra words into the text that twist the meaning of the text. But without the corruption of the text you have no case at all...since the whole bible calls you out as a heretic. The perversion of the text makes God declare His own Son as sinful. Whereby the bible actually says...a few verses before... "God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself. " Did God charge Himself with sin? Of course not. Only enemies of God declare God to be sinful...or Christ to be sinful. But that's how far people will go to justify their sinfulness.

This is true for the one who is translated into Zion to walk in His resurrection life without sin. In Him is no sin. (1 John 3:5)

But that's not what you mean. You mean you CLAIM to be sinless as you sin and you rail against an ACTUAL sinless walk in the power of the Spirit...which you say is a fantasy. So you expose yourself as a charlatan that wants to claim to have a life you clearly don't have any idea of.

One bad translation leads to another...each copying the error of the last one. Translators are NOT inspired by God. Only the ORIGINAL text is...a translation is an INTERPRETATION of the text.

Translators are partisan to the religion that have been conditioned to and they will twist the meaning to fit the religion. ALL religious people do that very thing. Fortunately we have original texts that we can read for ourselves.

Quite a number of "interesting" seemingly coincidental things people have said........it's like being in an alternate universe sometimes. Not sure what it means exactly.

And I have to tell you, @Episkopos where you said somewhere that you were walking in the higher walk without having learned righteousness yet......I think that is probably quite right, because it has been a hunch I had for a long while in trying to discern what's what here. We sometimes in our zeal (or even presumptuousness or pride in some cases I think) can get ahead of the Lord's leading so to speak...it is like entering the Holy of Holies without the Holy Spirit as covering....we need to stay with Him, not run ahead of Him where He is not (for us yet). He goes before us, preparing the way, not behind us. Our motives may need purifying first for one thing. Another problem is if people keep trying to justify their unrighteousness.....they will not learn righteousness that way.

I hope you are NOT suggesting that when one becomes born again that have 2 natures - one desiring to walk after the leading of the Holy Spirit and another desiring to live in sin.

Until we die we must battle the temptations of the old nature. We are children of god by rebirth, but God has not removed the old man. I disagree with your thought it is a bad translation. Yes the Word God does not appear in any originals. the more modern translations simply use god for that is who made Jesus to be sin. also by us does not appear in any greek text.

People think that the gospel is having peace and assurance with God IN YOUR SINS. And not just that...but also claiming not only to be forgiven but also justified to be as righteous as God is...in sin. A sinful holiness...and a lawless salvation.

Is it any wonder why so many will be rejected from the kingdom? Why so many will weep and be angry? And what of those who minister lies? What will the deceived ones do to the ones who deceived them...the pastors and religious salesmen who sought for temporal acclaim? A fate worse than death???

I see the opposite. I see you getting mad and defensive but claiming you aren’t and didn’t. I also saw that in my unreligious family. One member could get so angry that their face turned red in places and they would be yelling and shaking and yet they would say I was angry, either in the heat of it or sometime later. In fact, I saw it so much that I was always in confusion so I learned to go strictly by physiology because while others could lie about what was going on in them and I could lie to myself about what was going on in me, physiology never tried to fool me. I still use that tool even today. If someone tells me to calm down or asks me why I’m angry, I immediately check if I felt even an instant of blush hit my face, whether my heart rate increased, whether I’m shaky. If none of those things are happening I know they are trying to use me as a scapegoat to put their sin on and are trying to convince me (and others) that it’s mine to bear.
The people I lived among would also sometimes tell me to calm down when I was very calm. It’s what happens when you tell the truth to someone and they do not like or want to hear it because they are trying to protect the reputation of their mask - they say either that you are angry or that you’re being mean or that you don’t care about them.

One would have to be blind indeed to not see that the kingdom of God is a RADICAL meritocracy (if you don't produce enough fruit you are rejected). You are reading the bible through rose-tinted glasses indeed with a flowers and rainbows utopian view that ignores the many warnings that are written as plain as day.

Entering God's kingdom is a gift.....no one merits being put into the heavenly race. But after one is in the heavenly realm it is about rewards of merit. Of course I don't think basically any here have ever actually entered INTO the kingdom realm of the Spirit for any length of time so as to SEE what it's about. For those who have trouble with reading skills I list the following meritocratic aspects of God's kingdom.

Those who PRODUCE a return on God's investment get a reward to the level of their achievement. A man who was given one talent and PRODUCES another will rule over one city. And any subsequent return on investment for further deposits (talents) gets the commensurate amount of cities to rule.

God tells Cain...if you get it right will I not also accept you?

He who overcomes as Jesus did will sit on a throne with Jesus.

Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy. Rev. 3:4

We will reap as we have sown...not as Jesus has sown.

“I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,” Eph 4:1

“Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.” Matt. 22:8


That's what you are doing...parroting what you have been conditioned by endless repetition to believe. No power from heaven...no experience of the heavenly walk...just man-made platitudes from people who are alien to the life of God.

What kind of works follow your easy-peasy gospel? A slightly better morality than the world offers? Works of perfection in Christ? (of course not)

An actual salvation is followed by a lack of sin in thought or action. But you are merely advocating a human version of a religion loosely based on things ABOUT Jesus.

The very fact that you can't see how God's judgment works makes you think God respects certain people over others...with yourself at the top of the pyramid. From there you can judge all others as hell-bound. But you are taking a position that you literally don't MERIT. God makes a man worthy....but he must walk in it to remain worthy.

Without maintaining obedience to God one falls from grace. Sin still separates us from God. The wages of sin is still death.

I only cite what is written. Your faux outrage is not based on anything but a bad reading of scripture. You are unlearned AND unstable, and should take a far more humble stance when reading things you have no experience of. Be more like the Bereans who searched the scriptures to see if the WEIRD sounding things Paul was speaking of were actually in the bible.

So you rail at the verses I cite because they don't fit your indoctrination. JW's are more open to the truth than you are. Being obstinate and arrogant does not make you right. Do God's work .....not the devil's. Engage the argument without acting like a religious fool. God is looking for spiritual fruit not religious nuts.

Since the truth is so alien to you, take it one step at a time... Look up what a meritocracy is...and look what that means. Is it equality of outcome? Or is it equality of opportunity? Many are called but few are chosen. Do you know why that is such? Is being chosen like a game of chance...or does God choose specifically according to certain QUALIFICATIONS....that are actually listed over and over again in the bible. But you can't see them. Certain verses have blinded you because of a human religious hubris that tells you that you are on the inside. It is the "emperor's new clothes" of an assumed righteousness that acts as a barrier to the truth.

They cover with a covering that is not according to My Spirit, that they may add sin to sin. (adding religious pride to common carnal sinning) (I better cite chapter and verse otherwise the unlearned will think I'm making this up...read Is. 30:1)

You are teaching salvation by grace plus continued human merit. Your own words say it plainly: God makes a man worthy, but the man must “remain worthy” by his obedience or fall from grace.

That is not the gospel Paul preached. “But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness” (Romans 4:5).

“If by grace, then is it no more of works” (Romans 11:6).

You keep confusing rewards with justification. Paul says a believer can lose reward and yet “he himself shall be saved” (1 Corinthians 3:15). That alone destroys your “radical meritocracy” as the basis of final salvation.

And you badly misuse Galatians 5:4. Paul is not warning believers that insufficient obedience makes them fall from grace. He says those seeking to be “justified by the law” are fallen from grace. You are using a verse against performance-based justification to defend performance-based justification.

Then you claim that “actual salvation” produces a complete absence of sin in thought or action. John says: “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves” (1 John 1:8).

So which should Christians believe, John or you? Just because you say you, the answer is John.

Your boasting about having spiritual experience that others supposedly lack proves nothing. The Bereans tested teaching by Scripture, not by someone's claims of superior spiritual insight.

You can throw around “unlearned,” “unstable,” “religious fool,” and “devil's work” all day. None of that answers the text.

You are publicly corrupting the gospel by teaching that Christ gets a man started, but the man's performance keeps him worthy.

Repent of it.

Christ saves. Christ justifies. Christ keeps His own.

Your merit does not complete His work.

Not at all. What I am saying is EXACTLY what the authors of the bible are relating. They are speaking of what they know by experience and revelation. I do the same. I would NEVER be religious and assume I know something based on a silly human indoctrination.


If you had any wisdom at all...you would allow yourself to be questioned and allow the warnings of the bible to hit you personally. I'm not asking you to believe me...just the bible. I can provide CONTEXT from the whole counsel of God...and maybe take you one more step further into what is unknown to you. Yes. Jesus is the word. If you listen to the word you are listening to Jesus. But that doesn't negate the truth that Jesus speaks directly to people. In either case His sheep hear His voice.

I mainly cite where it is written...but not always (I'm not a scripture monkey that is looking for kudos for citing verses as some here)...but there is a blindness in many so that it is AS IF I never cited anything. The same way that these same people read verses in the bible without comprehending or even remembering they ever read them.

There is a spirit of deep sleep enveloping the modern church. But Paul says (and I quote) "awake you who sleep, rise from the dead and Christ will give you light."

NO, you do not “do the same” as the biblical authors. That is exactly the arrogance being exposed.

The prophets and apostles spoke by divine inspiration. Peter says, “holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost” (2 Peter 1:21). Paul says Scripture is “given by inspiration of God” (2 Timothy 3:16).

You are not an apostle. You are not writing Scripture. Your impressions and experiences are not revelation on the level of Paul, John, or Peter.

And “My sheep hear my voice” does not mean every Christian gets private doctrinal revelations from Jesus. Christ's sheep hear and follow Christ (John 10:27). That verse does not turn your inner impressions into God's Word.

You say you “mainly cite where it is written, but not always.” That is the problem. When you teach doctrine that is not written, then demand that others accept it because you supposedly received deeper understanding, you have left biblical authority and entered private revelation.

The Bereans were called noble because they “searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so” (Acts 17:11). They did not ask whether Paul had impressive experiences. They tested the message by Scripture.

And Paul warned: “that ye might learn in us not to think of men above that which is written” (1 Corinthians 4:6).

You sneer at people as “scripture monkeys” for demanding verses. Scripture calls that testing. Your spiritual boasting does not impress me. Your claims of deeper sight do not establish doctrine. Your supposed revelations do not bind anyone's conscience.

Show it from Scripture in context, or stop teaching it as God's truth.

You are not being persecuted for revelation. You are being challenged because you keep placing your private claims where only God's written Word belongs.

If a man comes preaching that he is Christ, he is a false Christ and a deceiver. (Matthew 24:5, 24)

If a man comes preaching lies while saying he speaks for Christ, he is a false prophet or false apostle, a “deceitful worker” working in the pretense of a servant of Christ. (2 Corinthians 11:13-15)

If a man comes to teach something OTHER than what Jesus Christ commanded makes him a false teacher. That is one who secretly brings destructive heresy into the church and leads God's children away from the truth. (2 Peter 2:1)

And if he twists the gospel, Paul says, “let him be accursed.” (Galatians 1:9)

Let that settle in: spiritual gifts, revelations, titles, and experiences will not save a man preaching lies about Jesus Christ and His gospel. REPENT. Believe the true gospel. Stop deceiving people before you stand before the very Christ himself whose name you take in vain.

I see the opposite. I see you getting mad and defensive but claiming you aren’t and didn’t. I also saw that in my unreligious family. One member could get so angry that their face turned red in places and they would be yelling and shaking and yet they would say I was angry, either in the heat of it or sometime later. In fact, I saw it so much that I was always in confusion so I learned to go strictly by physiology because while others could lie about what was going on in them and I could lie to myself about what was going on in me, physiology never tried to fool me. I still use that tool even today. If someone tells me to calm down or asks me why I’m angry, I immediately check if I felt even an instant of blush hit my face, whether my heart rate increased, whether I’m shaky. If none of those things are happening I know they are trying to use me as a scapegoat to put their sin on and are trying to convince me (and others) that it’s mine to bear.
The people I lived among would also sometimes tell me to calm down when I was very calm. It’s what happens when you tell the truth to someone and they do not like or want to hear it because they are trying to protect the reputation of their mask - they say either that you are angry or that you’re being mean or that you don’t care about them.

Well, as I said it's like an alternate universe around here at times.

Discernment comes from the Lord, not by being analytical.....but I can appreciate why someone would tend to be analytical given a confusing or contradictory family situation when they were young.
