Why is it that so many people feel the need to be demeaning to others? Isn't it enough to simply voice your view, provide Scripture support, if you have a mind to, and leave it at that? Why do so many find they need to address others in such personal and negative fashion? Is that really necessary? I don't think so.

Much love!

Really?? You honestly believe what you just posted??
I have NEVER seen you complain about personal attacks against Epi. Why is that??

Yes, the Holy Spirit was there I agree....but there is this scripture that leads me to think He could be "with" people, but not "in" them until after Christ and Pentecost:

Jhn 14:16-17

And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
What about John the Baptist? He was filled with the Holy Spirit before Christ's death or Pentecost.

Lk 1:15
For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb.

what are they gonna say ON JESUS day . Oh LORD we claimed to beleive you . And HE will say
THEN WHY DID YOU RAIL on those who preached about the DIRE NEED TO BELIEVE ON ME and followed inclusivism .
Someone on this site has zero idea the upmost deadly danger they are in my friend .
Now paul had a man blinded for trying to lead the deputy away FROM THE FAITH . His name was elaymus .
And i sure can see another HERE doing just that . LEADING or trying to lead this people away FROM THE FAITH .
That wont bode well for such a person at all .

It just gets worse the more you talk. You paint yourself into bad corners.
Even an unbeliever could see and reject what you teach as hogwash. You say you start on a higher level of righteousness than all OT saints in history because you’ve been given a down payment of the Spirit. Even if you DO unrighteously in some matter, you are on a higher level than all the righteous before you and are more righteous than even an unbeliever who does righteously, even if you do unrighteously in some matter.
It’s astoundingly bad.
You are blessed to discern what is of the flesh and what is of the Spirit. Be strong and very courageous in the Lord. <><

Um . . . unbelievers don't understand these things. But you are becoming like your mentor, in demeaning others.

Actually the righteousness that comes from God is greater than the righteousness that is by the Law:

Philippians 3:6-11 KJV
6) Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.
7) But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.
8) Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,
9) And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
10) That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
11) If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.

Matthew 11:10-11 KJV
10) For this is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.
11) Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

Why is it that so many people feel the need to be demeaning to others? Isn't it enough to simply voice your view, provide Scripture support, if you have a mind to, and leave it at that? Why do so many find they need to address others in such personal and negative fashion? Is that really necessary? I don't think so.

This is hypocritical faux outrage disguised as much love. How can you expose yourself more clearly?

Let's have a day (just one day) giving our differences a rest and praise the Lord instead, let's give God glory.

I will begin :

. Praise the Lord He created us, given us life.
. Praise the Lord He foreknew A&E would fall and yet He created them after all.
. Praise the Lord for His great restoration plan, Jesus God the Son, willing to leave His Father and become human.
. Praise Jesus God the Son to endure us.
. Praise Jesus God the Son for His obedience to the Father and take the cross.
. Praise God the Father and God the Son for the reconciliation on the cross.
. Praise God for sending the Holy Spirit leading us in truth.
. Praise God He loved us first.

Glory to God.

Your turn, just one day.

Why not everyday? tsmlOur communication is to be salted with love of God and others. But the truth is not well received among those who are covering up the truth with a defense of the flesh...that needs to be called out. Otherwise why not just all go to the "happy" thread?

In Spirit and in truth.

Love castigates the ones who are building with wood, hay and stubble...for their eternal good. I start with correction...then if that is covered up by the flesh...I reprove...and if that is mocked...then I rebuke. That's my pattern. The point is to save souls. If you see someone who is naked...you clothe them...not just wish them godspeed. Likewise those who hunger and thirst for the truth...you fill them. Feed my sheep, the Lord says. The problem is that those who are blind and naked and poor...think they're rich...and they seek to fool others with a scheme that takes away from the gospel. A few here see it clearly.

Many have been deceived and taken away from the path of life through a religious indoctrination that will see them rejected by God. So what are we to do? Wish them well? Or take responsibility. We are our brother's and sister's keepers.

What I warn people about is an improper response to the gospel. When Cain's sacrifice was not accepted by the Lord...God said...IF you get it right will I not also accept you? Otherwise sin is at your door.

It seems that those who can't see that the kingdom of God is actually a meritocracy, and can only see as far as an initial sample of grace that should inform them of what the kingdom of God is like in order to get them to sell all to enter in and possess it, are failing grace.
Those who have NOT entered in tend to refuse instruction, based on indoctrination, in what gets them to be accepted by God on either level of righteousness or holiness.

So these fail grace on 2 levels.

1. They don't enter the kingdom realm to walk as Jesus walked (holiness level) by grace through faith. Those that do enter into the kingdom realm walk in a HIGHER righteousness, they walk in the righteousness of God. The failure to enter in is compounded with the CLAIMS of many to be rich and have need of nothing, who claim to SEE when they are in reality poor, naked, and blind.

2. And they are not learning righteousness...in humility and the fear of the Lord. To be at least as righteous and honest as a human can be without being empowered to do the impossible.

God is merciful...but He is looking for mercy from us towards those who we shouldn't consider to be less than us (like righteous unbelievers)....who have not received a sample of grace. God desires mercy not sacrifice....or, more than sacrifice. Why judge others for not knowing about the higher walk in grace when they are more righteous than us in God's eyes. Judge not lest you be judged.

But chiefly, He is looking for disciples who will enter into Christ and stand in the gap as a witness to the truth. There are very few who get through the obstacles that religion puts in the path of true seekers of God.

The natural man often fails to grasp what pleases or displeases the Lord and to what degree. Saul shows a man mercy and is rejected by God for it. David steals an honorable man's wife and murders him...God shows him mercy. The rich would give abundantly at the temple but Jesus only honors a poor widow that gave a penny. We must never be presumptuous and think our gift OR our sin surpasses anyone else. Only Paul said he was chief among sinners and that was by inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Let God be the judge and hope our faith and humility are real.

Good point....I don't know what it means. I wonder why Jesus' disciples had to wait for Pentecost then?

I am thinking it was the wait for it to be poured out on ALL flesh (per Peter's statement)

Ac 2:17
And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

Their journey is an example to us to follow, just like the Israelites in the OT.

I believe the 2 covenants have been there from the start, and pictured in the two trees in paradise. As God is eternal, anything He does at a point of time, applies for all time thereafter which is why we find men who were said to be perfect before Christ.

I see the scriptures in a similar way. The bible is also two trees. We can read it for knowledge that puffs up and brings death or for life so we may produce fruit.

His mercy is chiefly in the form of the gospel.........which we are to share and offer to unbelievers, both good and bad (righteous or unrighteous). God will have mercy on whom He will have mercy.......through the gospel. That the purpose of God according to election might stand....Rom 9.

Certainly agree with humility and not being presumptuous. But there are clear and specific reasons and lessons to learn from those examples you gave. Saul had directly disobeyed the Lord in showing mercy to someone God wasn't showing mercy to. (like when the Lord told me to stop praying for someone one time.....if I had continued praying for that person I would have been sinning.) David was shown mercy because he repented. The widow's mite was being counted relative to what she had....she gave all that she had, while the rich were only giving a small portion of what they had. We can learn and understand how God measures and judges things.

To say that those who are without Christ are under His wrath, and will come into judgment by HIM etc...........does not mean WE are judging and condemning anyone....it is simply the word of GOD, and we are sharing it faithfully I hope, as He told us to do. God's prophets were all the time warning Israel of coming judgment......were they in sin and being "judgmental"? No, on the contrary their hearts were broken for the nation, and it was and is God's love and mercy to warn of impending consequences if no repentance is forthcoming.

Well, at least now I can see where you are at....I had wondered. The gospel is not politically correct.........that's why it offends so many.

Luke 1:67 And his father Zechariah [of JTB] was filled with the Holy Spirit and prophesied, saying,
Yes, amen.........what does it mean and why did the early church have to wait for Pentecost? The saints of old weren't filled....for them the fulfillment of their faith didn't come to them until after Jesus died and rose from the dead. The bible does say that "they without us would not be made perfect".
