No. You have to take into account how language is used, and how it serves the author's purposes.

One of my friends grew up in a well-to-do family, the son of a judge. He heard a lot of "Son, you're a Carrington*. We don't DO that." He could probably relate to what I'm saying. "Daughter, you are a child of God; we don't do that sort of thing." My own family name is associated with the ignominious behavior of a certain historical figure my grandmother claimed was from another branch of the family, so I never heard that sort of thing growing up. Maybe that's why others don't see it either.

I am leery of the "practices" translation because of how and why it changed the from the traditional reading, and in particular the "life-style of sin" interpretation. First of all, I'm not sure "don't make it a life-style" was the author's intended message; I think the intent was "don't do it". And second, as an engineer, you can't have vague specs. Everybody sins (except apparently a certain user in another thread who shall remain nameless); at what point is it a "life-style"? That leads to all kinds of issues.

Many in this inclusive ecumenical generation have zero idea what spirit they are of nor who they do follow .
But allow me a quick reminder by giving us an example of exactly where this so called inclusive love has led
and is leading them .
Bring that holy bible into and amongst them . And those who were all day hollering GOD is love
and tolerance and unity and dont judge
WILL all of a sudden show both that man and his bible the front door
as they cast both him and his bible RIGHT out into the streets with a loud voice
that says OUTTA HERE hater , GOD is LOVE .
Screech the brakes . OH I KNOW GOD IS L OVE and on that i have no doubt .
But this love of theirs rejects HIS WORDS and His people who come to speak His words .
SO IT cannot BE OF GOD . Do remember that satan can also quoate the scrips
so marvel not that HE and his minstirs can say GOD IS LOV E and yet lead this people

well that also occurs in some . But a delusion has come to now MERGE .
A delusion has come to UNIFY
A delusion has come indeed . And who has it come for and who will recieve it , ALL who rejected the love of the truth
and had pleasure in unrighteousness . And this delusion has come to merge the false already decieved religoins
with the decieved within christendom .
A delusion that hollers love often and loudly and yet has no love for the TRUTH that does expose their sins .
