Nonsense, as are most of the doctrines of the Reformation,
Wow......except of course the doctrine of salvation I hope, which says a soul is only saved by faith in Christ and not by rites and rituals and indulgences and absolution by men in black robes. In spite of its faults, surely we don't want to diminish the extremely valuable role the reformation played in restoring the GOSPEL and freeing souls from captivity to a dead religion.

In Christ we are delivered from ALL sin. Forgiveness is never the point. Only habitual and dyed in the wool sinners are looking for forgiveness. Like criminals looking for amnesty. But a follower of Christ is looking for DELIVERANCE from sin...ALL sin. And the bible speaks of this ALL THE TIME. It's just that only faith can lay hold of the available grace that gives us that kind of victory. What the migrants here espouse is a NON assimilation into the kingdom realm culture...whereby they want God's support for being illegal squatters.

Ask then how important obedience is to God and His ways...and they will say that's based on works. They want a free refugee status. They want to stay sinners and get an approval , corrupt government style, to NOT assimilate into the kingdom culture of surrender into victory.
Squatters and illegal migrants are those who climb in by some way other than the Door....who is Christ.( Which is ironically even what you promote.) Babies and children and teens who have been begotten and born of God in Christ are as much a part of the kingdom and family of God as the adults and elders.

"Salvation" didn't originate out of the beginning of the Reformation did it? I'm referring to mutations such as "sin is sin" and "OSAS" and "past, present and future sins," that were never even heard of before by the Apostles. These are doctrines of men and demons. Even in the dark ages the church knew the difference between sins unto death they called mortal sins, and sins not unto death they called venial sins. Now because they were trying to change anything and everything from the RCC they took the unscriptural root of making up their own nonsense.

You are right on the green.

You are wrong on the red, during the process of deliverance from sin, we need forgiveness.
1 John 1:8-10

The blood of Christ, have you forgotten why He gave His life ?
1 John 1:8-10 is how to become a Christian in the first place. You must first recognize your sin, then confess it. Verse 10 should have given you that hint when you realize this person is saying they were born without sin having never sinned in their life....according to them. The three verses that begin with the key word "say" are lying. Not because their sin was taken away by Christ, but because they broke commandments and said they didn't. Look at 1 John 2:4 "He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him." In verse 9, having been cleansed of all unrighteousness, it would not be a lie to say so.

John is using a Hebrew/Semitic writing style and in this case of contrasting Light vs. Darkness. Verses 6, 8 and 10 are all in Darkness. Where 5, 7 and 9 are all verses of Light.

THINK!!! Stop believing the foolish doctrines of man.

But you believe OSAS is true.
You say you cannot sin a sin unto death.
How is that not you never being able to be lost?????
Because of free will. Besides I've "studied to show myself approved." I can't be fooled. You were and believe doctrines that are only 500 years old. I believe the doctrines from almost 2000 years ago that even made it through the dark ages until they were stopped by Calvin. Luther didn't believe in OSAS, so it is all Calvinism that people like John Wesley fought so hard against, but its still here causing havoc.

The justification that is by believing in the heart (Romans 10:10) is indeed a one time everlasting justification that does not need to be repeated (Hebrews 10:14)

But since Epi and his followers insist on being justified by their works and do not believe in the justification that is by believing in the heart they are never justified because 1) they simply aren't righteous enough in thought and deed to be declared righteous that way, and 2) they have the unrighteousness of past sins that is never removed because they reject the required shedding of blood for the removal of past guilt of sin.
Copy that....I really did not know this information as fact...thx

How did you get that out of what I said? I said:

"Jesus taking away our sin means he forgave the guilt of that sin and ended its power over us."
So you can keep sinning guilt free? We still have free will to sin or not, so I suppose the power over us is we can sin and not go to hell. Nonsense!!!

The truth is Jesus takes away sin from the old man, our sin nature, causing us to truly be free of unrighteousness, in our mind and heart. We love what God loves and hate what God hates. We are new people. "Working out our salvation with fear and trembling." Not OSAS.

I have forgiven you many times, always, all days, not hard.

True, but in the right order -

1. Without the sacrifice and blood of Christ there would no forgiveness of sin at all, we all would die in our sins.

2. Without repentance we would not be blessed with the Holy Spirit (the Comforter) Who leads us in truth, convinces us in our conscience of sin and gives us victory over sins in a never ending process of sanctification.

I am pretty sure I sin less than (say) 10 years ago.

How about you ?
ecumeincalism is gonna end this generation .
Cause all its unity does is flap its lips about judge not
and allows even those who not only support sins to remain
but even those who preach a false inclusive gospel . seems this generation is more worried
about trying to keep the peace and fellowship under a false unity , THAN it is
even about the keeping of the one true gospel .
I dont think JESUS , paul or john were worried about trying to keep the peace
and keep the unity with ANYONE who taught a false gospel . Fact is they said LET them be accursed .
Fact is john said dont even let them in your house or BID them god speed .
yes , it seems to me that many , their god is the ecuemeincal inclusive one .
And that god is totally unable to save them . Just a friendly reminder .

It required Jesus' blood because we are to forgive as WE ourselves have been forgiven. It is a ministry of intercession, that we demonstrate the same grace that was shown to us because of His shed blood.

And our forgiving of others is the same Greek word aphiemi - to remit - the same Greek word where the bible speaks of God's forgiveness.......Does that mean when we forgive someone when they sinned against us that they are freed from that sin entirely? For example if we forgive someone who robs us does that mean the thief is automatically delivered from the tendency and practice of stealing and is no longer a thief because we forgave them? Of course not. (Unless he were to come to Christ.) The scholarly interpreters of the bible were not incorrect in their interpretation......remit means to forgive.
nor does it mean we keep company with such . UNLESS they repent .
JESUS said IF HE REPENTS .
The church has screwed this up too .
Acting like unrentant church memebers can remain in sin
and that hey judge not lest ye be judged they say .
THEY messed it up real bad . IF he repent YE shall forgive him , aka rest ore him to fellowship .
Now its true we dont hold a grudge against those who do us wrong . we actually should pray for such
as EVEN steven did for his accusers who stoned him .
BUT WE AINT to be UNEQUALLY YOKED with such .
AND if one is a beleiver and in sin , YA dont even eat with such .
This church age did not keep the pattern JESUS and later the apostels left .
AND THAT is why the leaven TOOK THEM OVER and is TAKING THEM ALL D OWN the road of perditon .
Thanks for the reminder dear sister . But i would not heed a word one outta epis mouth .
Not only does that man sin , HE preaches a false gospel , calls GOD a liar
and hammers those who even DO preach the true gospel . SO that man got only dust off my feet agaisnt him .
And i will only warn and continue to warn agaisnt him , LEST HE REPENT .

Jesus taking away our sin means he forgave the guilt of that sin and ended its power over us. This is explained in Hebrews. It says this is true because of the superior ministry and sacrifice of Jesus. You make a horrible error in judgement when you say the church does not know this.

It is Epi who does not understand what the sacrifice of Jesus does. He's oblivious to Jesus being the blood sacrifice God requires by which men are forgiven and declared righteous, apart from the works of the law.

He is sure you can only be declared righteous by being righteous. No one is good enough to be declared righteous that way, because no one is righteous all of the time. A declaration of righteousness can only be given as a free gift of God's grace through faith in his forgiveness. One sin keeps you from being declared righteous on the basis of your works of righteousness.
that aint even the half , the most deadly half of what this man epi beleives .
He dont even beleive its necessary to have to beleive from the heart that GOD rose JESUS from the dead
and to confess him by mouth .
IN fact not only does he not beleive that is necessary ,
WHEN i went to tell an atheist of his dire need to BELEIVE ON JESUS the CHRIST
that same ol epi called me a religious extremists .
HE SEES the preaching of the true gospel as RELIGIOUS EXTREMISM .
HE is a solider and a prince of inclusvity . And long ago when i went to examine that f or myself
I SEEN anti christ ALL OVER IT .

so I suppose the power over us is we can sin and not go to hell.
The power over believers is God's love in the forgiveness of sin. That forgiveness is available to them if they sin out of ignorance, or immaturity, or lack of vigilance, or lack of insight, or weakness, or being deceived. The believer who sins for those reasons will not go to hell.

The sin of the child of God growing up into the image of his Father, with all it's bumps and scrapes along the way, is covered by the completed but never-ceasing ministry and sacrifice of Jesus ever before the Father in the true tabernacle in heaven always interceding on their behalf. Their faith in God's forgiveness is why they sin but are not going to hell.

No, you said you can't commit sin unto death, because you are born again. That's OSAS.
There are two types of sin, but you don't recognize that because you've been taught a dumbed down version of "sin is sin." But even though our sin nature has been cleansed if repented of properly (I went to church for 30 years unsaved, which is why when God told me He was giving me the Office of Teacher, I knew I was to teach the Church, not the world), and received the gift of the Holy Spirit, which is not a doctrine, it is an EXPERIENCE, and you've received the gifts of the Spirit, you can still lose your salvation so to speak by not loving God enough to not willfully sin. Matthew 7:19-23 shows it has to do with no fruit that can cause you to have no self control, which can lead to going into a lifestyle that will lead you to willfully sin. Immature fruit are sins not unto death, but if there is NO fruit at all, then Jesus never knew you, and you wind up willfully sinning against God's commandments, that if that person had continued to abide in Him would not have happened. It also shows that salvation is actually at the end of the path, not at the beginning. God has foreknowledge of everyone's end of the path, and if at the end you did not endure, "he never knew you."

19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.
21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ Matthew 7:19-23

John 15:1-4
“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.

So are you saying that because your version of OSAS is older than Calvin's it's not OSAS, or just a different version of OSAS?
There is no such thing as OSAS. There are many warnings teaching you otherwise. There is nothing about only our guilt has been cleansed either, and not the desire to sin in the first place. Don't you realize that Jesus is the Creator? Why take away the guilt of sin, and not the sin itself. Can't you see you need to leave Calvinism, and study the Bible instead.

Here is what I do to stay a virgin with oil in my lamp.

1 John 5:18
We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.

John 15:3-4 Notice verse 3. That is the same as 1 John 3:4-9 that our sin nature is now been resurrected clean. Romans 6:5-7
3 You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. 4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.

Romans 6:5-7
5 For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, 6 knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. 7 For he who has died has been freed from sin.

2 Peter 1:5-9 shows that the blood of Jesus cleanses all our PAST unrighteousness. Not our present and future unrighteousness. That is because of the truth that Jesus TAKES AWAY ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS from our old man, which is the sin nature. That is why John 15:3 above says we are clean. But if you stop abiding in Christ you open yourself up to false doctrines like Calvinism with all its warped doctrines of demons. Read Jesus' letter to the Sardis Church, the age of the Reformation. The first sentence shows what Jesus thinks of Calvinism. "you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead." That should give you pause! 200 years into this age Jesus said, "You have a few names even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with Me in white, for they are worthy." That is obviously John Wesley, but even he would be turning over in his grave if he saw what the world has done to the United Methodist Church, now with their female homosexual bishops.

Not willingly and knowingly out of unbelief in the sacrifice of Jesus for the forgiveness of sin God has provided.
There are plenty who believe in OSAS, and willingly and knowingly commit sins while believing in Jesus' forgiveness of those sins past, present and future! NOT IN THE BIBLE! Nor is what you believe about guilt only. 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. That is a new NATURE. Our spirit and soul, meaning our mind and heart that make up our nature has been made CLEAN. John 15:3
And yet you still sin.

Your understanding of 'take away sin' is erroneous.
You don't even live up to your own understanding of it.
You'll have to give a better proof than pulling a lie out of thin air!

I can not agree with your theology sister. Sin-unto-death is only mentioned once in Scripture without explanation. From the text it is not even clear if the "death" John speaks of is physical or spiritual death, maybe even both. I can mention at least 3 cases sudden physical death was the result of sin.

You have said a believer who commits murder is a sin-unto-death but then you have to explain the story of David, a prophet who not only committed adultery with Bathsheba but also murdered the husband.

Psalm 51
To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet came unto him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba.

3 For I know my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me.
4 Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight,

7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.
11 Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me.
12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit.

Did the Lord forgive King David, the prophet of God blessed with the Holy Spirit, but also a murderer, or is he unforgiven as you preach ?

THINK!!! Stop believing the foolish doctrines of man.

Says you. :doldrums:

In Romans 6, Paul speaks of being free from sin, and at the end "the wages of sin is death." But in 1 John 5:17 John says there is sin not unto death. So there are two different categories of sin, just like in the Old Testament, our schoolmaster. Sins unto death, and sins NOT unto death. This is why after being cleansed of all unrighteousness, and in 1 John 3:9 a born again Christian cannot commit sin (in context with verse 4 the sin (unto death) called lawlessness.) in 1 John 1:7 we see that a born again Christian can commit sins not unto death because they are continually being cleansed. From the Old Testament we see these are UNINTENTIONAL sins. We would certainly KNOW if we willfully broke a commandment of God, so this verse is not about those. What is left are sins not unto death. Simple when you know the whole Bible.

You have said a believer who commits murder is a sin-unto-death but then you have to explain the story of David, a prophet who not only committed adultery with Bathsheba but also murdered the husband.
So who died? Someone did. Do you know who?

David repented with all of his heart, and God forgave him. But he was not allowed to build the temple of God. That honor was given to Solomon.

No, he's right, you cannot have it both ways. If the sin that can remove your salvation is sin unto death, and you cannot commit sin unto death, then you cannot become unsaved, therefore you hold to OSAS. I suppose you dislike that immensely, but that's the way it works.

Much love!
