My attention is on you and your words, not manchurian's.How is this helping him move from the broad path back to the narrow path?
Maybe you could give my question a look at?

Why the refusal to engage me Matthias? Is it hard to kick against the pricks? My attention is on him and his words.
Others might be interested in discussing your question. Why don’t you start a thread on it?

Is it hard to kick against the pricks?
Bodily resurrection.
Exhibit A: Jesus of Nazareth, the Messiah, Son of the living God.
What do we experience after?
So, soul sleep then? Why do you think so many Christians reject that idea? The dead are no longer alive. It is called the sleep of the dead.
You will not be waiting long. Time passes instantly when you're asleep. We wait to be resurrected to life.

What do you mean? You don't think it's because they don't like the idea of being dead? I ask because most Christians, people like Frank Turek, believe that it goes like this: death > instantly with Jesus. The influence of Greek philosophy.
Time has no meaning when you're unconscious. 1,000 years is no different than 3 billion. The dead who belong to Jesus will wait until he returns. The dead who don’t belong to Jesus will wait an additional 1,000 years.

Do you believe there are aspects of paganism that Christians prefer?I mean paganism.
I agree.Their idea of being dead is that they are still alive; only the shell / husk (the body) is dead.
But why? Why do they want to believe their soul doesn't die? They are reading Paul and leaving out resurrection.
And so there is no waiting. Death > instantly with Jesus. Soul sleep or no, the result is the same in terms of time. The only difference between the two beliefs is the status of the soul after bodily death. That’s right.
Not anymore.@Riven do you think Jesus is a human person?
I believe he was. When Jesus died, was he dead?

Because they believe Satan's lie, 'you will not surely die' Genesis 3:4So, soul sleep then? Why do you think so many Christians reject that idea?
To Christian ideas like soul sleep.Prefer to what?
It's about perspective. There would be no sense of waiting for the person being resurrected. Death > instantly resurrected.Paul himself is a resurrection man. Resurrection necessitates waiting.
What if God wanted to die? Are you saying there's something we can do that God can't?God cannot die.
