In considering then, the passage "And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives" (Zachariah 14:4) regarding the return of Jesus; in light of all that is written about the future of Israel being "with God", it is best to consider the passage not taking place on earth, but in heaven.

But if you start reading the beginning of chapter 14, the nations are attacking Israel. They won't be attacking Israel in heaven. The attack takes place on earth and Jesus returns to the mount of Olives on earth.

Genesis 12

2 I will make you a great nation;
I will bless you
And make your name great;
And you shall be a blessing.

3 I will bless those who bless you,
And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.

4 So Abram departed as the Lord had spoken to him, and Lot went with him.
Yes, God spoke that TO ABRAHAM .... and God fulfilled that in Christ. Abraham believed God and it was accounted to him as righteousness. We are, by faith in Christ, Abraham's children. WE are a holy nation, a royal priesthood.

For it is He who caught me up to the third heaven and gave me words not lawful to utter...until the times were fulfilled, and returned me to speak what is not mine but given to me nonetheless. Which is to say--I have spoken
Are you saying that you yourself have been caught up to the third heaven?

But the scripture says “I will make you a great nation” to Abram
Yes, exactly. God said to Abram, "I will make you a great nation."

Read.....
1 Peter 2:6-10
6Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded. 7Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner, 8And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed. 9But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: 10Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

Bill might appreciate the context here. Perhaps not. But "Israel", other than being a person and a nation, is a promise, meaning "God prevails."

If we are to understand spiritually, we should not quench the Spirit in that passage, but reading it with "God prevails" in the place of "Israel." Wherein, every nation and people have been and do attack "God prevails."

But the hour is late, and He who restrains, has done so until this time...and much of what is written will come not as expected.
