You’ve shared the gospel with them. They’ve rejected it and relentlessly speak against it.

How should believers treat them?

So a person who rejects the gospel and relentlessly speaks against it is unjust and filthy.

How do we let an unjust person be unjust still? How do we let a filthy person be filthy still?

We don't try to change them. Our job is to spread the gospel and equip the saints. We lead them to water, but forcing them to drink...is not the job, nor is it profitable.

But that assumes they have not heard you, perhaps. Perhaps not. But if they have heard, God has made it so, and takes it from there...which may or may not include us. With some, it's good to leave a foot in the door, not forcibly, but a way to circle back. Because it is the nature of people to first reject--as even the fall comes before salvation--we also have a tenancy to put up a wall...and then hopefully, prayerfully, we peek back over it...because most are actually unsure and just reacting. Be therefore, graciously confident and leave foot in the door, a nod, or a smile to show our sincerity in love.

Is that what you typically observe people doing in online discussion forums?

Some people here claim to have been to the third heaven while promoting books that they sell, I wonder what type of scrutiny/treatment they should expect ?

Welcome to the forum.

I don’t know. Have they heard and rejected the gospel? Are they relentlessly speaking against it?

Should they get whatever treatment it is that they expect? How have you treated them?

Some people wait their whole lives only to hear, "I sent a rescue team, a boat, and a helicopter--what are you waiting for?"

As for selling books--who bought your own Bible? And if you have read it, how is it that you do not perceive that we live in the days of the five virgins that were told to go "buy" oil?

Hi Matt & ty.
As long as they trust only in the death, burial & resurrection of Christ for forgiveness of all their sins they will enter eternity
While profiting from their claim$ they $hould be treated with the $kepticism & $crutiny such claims deserve.

The gospel’s good news is that there’s life after death—share it in simple terms and people will receive it.

Should they refuse, leave them be; however, if they relentlessly speak against it, then such a person is to be delivered to satan (protestant trans church) for the ruin of the flesh.

Welcome to the forum.

What is the procedure for delivering an unbeliever to Satan? What does it entail?

Kind, kind,kind.
I cannot stress this enough.

Tell me more about kindness. Do you make a distinction between politeness and kindness, or do you think of them as being synonymous terms?

Matthew 5:5
Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
(The majority of world leaders share this common characteristic: they smile gently and speak gently.)

Is it kind and / or polite to walk away from, stop speaking entirely with, those who reject the gospel and speak relentlessly against it?

Matthew 7:5
Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

But you have the choice to keep smiling. Just because those people don't understand now doesn't mean it's impossible for them to understand in the future. It's a good thing not to leave a bad impression on others.

Choosing to walk away is also perfectly fine; there's no need to carry any psychological burden about it. As long as you avoid meaningless arguments, everything is fine.

And what in that is respectful of the mystery of God shall be finished as He declared to His servants the prophets? Surely, against the greater counsel of God, you quench the Spirit with your own personal disdain, which is pride at its worst.
