yes,of course Jesus has done his part. Haven’t we done our part?

What do you mean "Haven't we done our part"? Are you referring to what we must do to be saved, or referring to because we have been saved? If you believe our eternal salvation is dependent upon something unsaved man must do to be saved, then you do not rightly understand there is nothing fallen man can do to be saved. Eternal salvation is of the Lord ALONE.

What I never saw was my mother truly walking with Christ. Was she a believer? Probably, that's not my call. If she was, she bore little fruit and was quickly pruned.
When using Prov. 6:16-19 as a yardstick, did your Mom walk that way? Doubt it. We are all sinners! Walking with Christ, doesn't mean you don't stumble and fall into temptation along the way. Eventyally you fall.less than before. The conscious decision to rededicate herself was getting up and walking with Christ. Unbelievers are not this self conscious about their sin, but more callous about it.
You said you didn't see fruit? Fruit is love, joy, kindness, patience, goodness, self control, peace, faithfulness. We all are on different levels and may excel in some of these areas and lack in others. Christ is the Author of our faith and the Holy Spirit convicts us, teaches us, guides us and grows our spirit. The evidence of change/growth in these areas is gradual; but should be evident. Healing from broken legs takes awhile, does it not. You're on crutches for awhile, need help. And so when we fall, Jesus is rught there and picks us up and carries us. We are a Work in progress and so it takes a lifetime. Some Christians are mature and shine in many of these areas and some are infants. Some are weak in faith and some have lots.
Your Mom wanted Christ in her life. Unbelievers do not have this desire, they put up their hands and say, no thanks. Your Mom is with the Lord.

In all God’s plans, he invited man to do a part, even it is a small part.
When God named animals in genesis2, he asked Adam to do a part.
When God could translocate all Israelites out of Egypt, he needed Israelites to walk on their own across the Red sea.
In the fall of Jericho, God could let the walls collapse at once, yet he required Israelites to do their part:walk around the city wall with the Ark.
In feeding of the multitude, before Jesus did the big part, the little boy had to contribute his small part:two fishes and 5 loaves of bread.

In salvation, Jesus done the big part:die on the cross, we are to do our small part:show him our obedience and good deeds he commanded.

Jesus did the only part.

He did the part of the high priest. Only he sacrificed himself for the sins of all mankind.

You have no part. Only receive his gift in faith. or reject it.

In OT, people had to offer sacrifice for atonement of sins.
Jesus is our new HIGH PRIEST, it doesn’t mean we are saved without doing anything.
the clearest place is Romans 12:1, where Paul says believers should offer themselves to God as a “living sacrifice.”
Romans 12:1
Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.

Once saved always saved, is a poison Satan put into your cup.

You do have to do something, recieve him

John 1. But as many as have received him to them he gave the power to become sons of God,

Your work will not pay for your sin.. The wage of sin is death. Not your works.

To do good work does not mean we don’t need Jesus’s blood.
As paul said:no one is righteous before God.
It does’nt mean we just sit back and fold our hands. No matter how small a part we can do, we still have to do our best.

If fallen man has a part they must do to be saved, 'even a small part', please provide verses from the Bible that say man is darkness and unbelief must help Christ if they desire to be eternally saved. What you've given makes no mention of what you say fallen man must do to be saved.

Jesus told us to repent when we fall. He asked Peter three times ‘Do you love me’ to write off he denials of Jesus.

Catholics have the sacrament of reconciliation through a priest, which is in persona Christi during the process.

Hardly, or he (Judas) would have remained alive and joined the growing number of disciples and followers of Jesus in spreading the Good News of salvation by grace THROUGH faith in the risen Lord Jesus Christ.
You're certainly welcome to your opinion, SM. As am I.

Grace and peace to you.

who said anything about sitting back and doing nothing

We are discussing how one is saved from the penalty of sin. not how we act after.

Both "sides" in this disagreement are right to some degree and wrong to some degree. Here is the resolution:

Our good works are the outward evidence, both to ourselves and to others, that we have been saved and are in Christ... the inevitable outworking of what God has done in giving us new life and a new spirit, even His Spirit, in our being born again. This is how we can make our calling and election ~ which is of God alone... depending not on human will or exertion, but on God, who has mercy, as Paul says in Romans 9:16... sure. So then, as he also says in Philippians 2:12-13, we can work out our own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in us, so that we will and work for His good pleasure.

God says, through Ezekiel in Ezekiel 11:19-20 and again in Ezekiel 36:25-27...

"I will give them one heart, and a new spirit I will put within them. I will remove the heart of stone from their flesh and give them a heart of flesh, that they may walk in my statutes and keep my rules and obey them"

"I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean from all your uncleannesses, and from all your idols I will cleanse you. And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put My Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in My statutes and be careful to obey My rules."

This is how salvation is applied to us.

Grace and peace to all.

Why would he?

Can he undie for you?
A king forgives his servant a debt of 10,000 talents - an unpayable debt, representing God's grace.
Then that same servant goes out and chokes another servant who owes him 100 denarii and refuses to forgive him.

"Then his master summoned him and said to him, ‘You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt... And should not you have had mercy on your fellow servant, as I had mercy on you?’ And in anger his master delivered him to the jailers, until he should pay all his debt." - Matt 18:32-34

Jesus ends it himself: ‘So also my heavenly Father will do to every one of you, if you do not forgive your brother from your heart.’
