People had different opinions months ago, but do you guys now think it was maybe a mistake? It does seem that on social media such as X and news websites, many people are saying now it was a huge mistake, or at least they should have waited afterwards or something, and these are from MAGA Republican voters.

Some people argue that the US should have done more, others say it should have done less, but either way in how it was handled and worked out, it seems that there was lots to be asked for.

VP JD Vance and Don Trump Jr are both blaming the Iran war more or less for costing the Republicans the midterm elections enormously.

Some prominent conservative commentators like Matt Walsh, Megyn Kelly and Thomas Massie seem to be blaming Republicans for the war now also.

And even the President is saying aid to Israel should now be ended:

Trump agrees with Vance but also says that he would do it again if he had to. But do you agree or disagree with them now? Do you think without the Iran war, things could have maybe gone much more differently?

Personally I think it was a bad mistake, primarily because he campaigned on not getting us involved in protracted wars; but he did anyway and Republicans in Congress went along for the ride with him. They enabled him and that's why they got voted out. There was no pressing need to attack Iran; Trump's justification that a nuclear attack was imminent doesn't pass the smell test. Once he started the war, his handling of it has been atrocious, so there's that too.

Mr Trump has been untrustworthy from the beginning. What stood out to me was that he lied regularly. Now you might think I am biased politically but I am apolitical, I am not aligned with any side. I do however recognise a liar. Was the Iran war a mistake? It was worse than a mistake!

Thank you for the post.

The purpose of the war was to deny Iran a nuclear weapon. Remember it did not take that long for our military to eliminate their navy and air force. President Trump assumed that Iran would surrender, given the end of most of their military. He did not realize that those in power were fanatics and willing to die first.

Iran still had a huge supply of drones and missile hidden, with which to strike anywhere in the Middle East, and more importantly, they could close the Strait of Hormuz and inflict economic pain on the whole world.

President Trump refused to commit troops on the ground (review WWII conquest of Okinawa for what would have transpired), but the siege of Iran did not, has not, accomplished capitulation. Iran has threatened tankers in the Strait just enough to curtail oil shipments. Until Middle East oil producers can avoid the Strait, not much will change.

In WWII, Americans suffered far worse economic hardships, but continued to back the Administration. Today, we are not made of such tough stuff.

Peace.

The IRGC slaughtered 70,000 protesters in the streets.
They begged for help to be free from tyranny.

Yes, Iran will never have a nuclear weapon to threaten the world with.
And Trump always keeps his promises.

People have short memories.

As @SavedInHim stated, there was no legitimate reason to attack Iran.

Trump did this for nefarious reasons. The first shot was to target a girls' school. That's EVIL. But ...Trump is evil, so there's that.

The current fuel and economic mess the world is in is Trump's doings ....not Iran's.

If Iran was going to nuke Israel or the United States, they'd have done it by now after being attacked. The nuclear threat was a LIE.

They never did.

I don't believe there's any hope for someone who makes up their "truth" based on the words of a liar.

2 Thessalonians 2:8-11
8And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: 9Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

I shouldn't be shocked at the level of deception, but I guess I always will ...as would anyone who sees and loves the truth.

He did say far more than once that he would start no new wars though....and yet, he started a literal new war. That I think is why many voters were confused and dismayed especially as time dragged on.

even on fox news and breitbart and x (twitter) now, they are saying how unpopular some of the policies and actions were, how MAGA is almost dying....the backlash is huge and growing....I just don't think the GOP can rely on the old strategies and mindsets to run elections ever again. or else this will not be last time republicans lose very badly.

He had a track record as a liar before he made those promises. He didn't end the Ukraine war, he started new ones, murdered Iranian girls and fishers on fishing boats, threatened nations that were our allies .... he's an out of control tyrant. And that's barely the tip of the iceberg.

Interesting that the vote here above is very close to the Mid-Term Election results.

Go figure!

That's because (even here) most don't know what they are looking at and what is actually going on. Low attention span and short-term memory. But even then what did you expect--that we elected a chess player that shows his hand in the middle of the match? People are just foolish, shallow, and gullible. "Crucify Him!" Nothing new.

Meanwhile, you are watching a pro...and if you are critical of the bluff--WOW!--take a bow, here's your sign!

Trump's job, if you can even recall, was to "drain the swamp" and "make America great again"--and he won. How easily we forget!

So...order some fast food if you don't have the patience for the long game--but let the guy work. Have a little faith!

The Mid-Terms are a failure of voters, of the people by the people.

Yeah, I know, we all would like to know what he is holding in his hand--but don't continue to be so stupid! Ye of little faith. If you are willing to suffer as Christ suffered, you can pay a bit more for gas and groceries for a while until the job is done. Because, draining the swamp--is hardly politics--it is a fight against evil. So...decide which side of that fight you want to be on--because whoever is not for us, is against us.

Go Trump!

You don't know what you are talking about.
But President Trump also notably said this week military aid to Israel should come to an end - arguing that they do not need such enormous support any longer being affluent enough. If he still has your trust, then do you agree or not with him there for example?

We must have very realistic conversations about the state of both parties, and the entire nation and its foreign policy, moving forward if the people is ever going to be united as the Founders envisioned.

I remember the lyrics from that old song, America the Beautiful. How lofty those ideals....and how far away from them we seem to be today, regardless of which side you support. The moral and spiritual decay in this nation has become too severe for anyone to ignore. When did this nation become ever so hopelessly divided? When did the American people fall so far from their morals and principles, their conscience and integrity?

"When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom." (Proverbs 11:12)

O beautiful for pilgrim feet
Whose stern impassioned stress
A thoroughfare for freedom beat
Across the wilderness.
America! America!
God mend thine ev'ry flaw,
Confirm thy soul in self-control,
Thy liberty in law.

O beautiful for glory-tale
Of liberating strife,
When valiantly for man's avail
Men lavished precious life.
America! America!
May God thy gold refine
Till all success be nobleness,
And every gain divine.

For those who don't know what they are talking about...this was always coming.

Trump is a pro in a serious match, and unbeknownst to many, he's winning. On the board, yes, is Israel--not the Israel of the Bible that Christ said He "came for" and "It is finished"--but the modern state of Israel which, if you know the history, is not what they appear to be. Yes, American has been hopeful and helpful, but also victimized. It's a big topic, and unfortunately the internet has mostly been scrubbed clean of who is actually behind it all, and their roots. But it will be revealed.

Meanwhile--was Israel of the Bible caught unaware of the truth? Well, now it's the times of the gentiles and our turn...and history repeats itself, and many are now also unaware.

There are few that pay attention to the big picture.
It's a long game played by the Rich and Famous and Powerful who use the little people as chattel.
It began long before America was even in the picture.
They don't teach history any more for this very reason, they can gaslight the uninformed and uneducated.
And I don't consider college degrees today to be very helpful in the education department. Just saying.
I haven't watched this particular video today yet,
But if you want to have a grasp on who, what, why, when, and where, all this mess began, not just decades but hundreds of years ago,
I suggest checking out Promethean Updates channel.

The thing is, this tower of babel has been being rebuilt for a very long time. And just like God had the people "leave off" building it,
today it is being dismantled.

Gen 11:8
So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.

It doesn't really say what happened to that tower, all we know is that it was left off.

Today we would call that city and that tower Globalism.
And the seat of that Globalism is planted in the City of London.
Which also controls Vatican City.
It also controlled Washington DC.

Until Trump.

And it's all falling down.

The 40,000 ft view.

What had to happen first?
Think logically.
Think DOJ & FBI.
Think cleaning.
Puzzle coming together?
We have reached our cruising altitude of 40,000 ft. long ago.
As we prepare to land, please fasten your seatbelt and make sure your seat back and folding trays are in their full upright position.
Q

It's the long game.
Very long.

Of course it was a mistake. You have to be an absolute moron to go to war with Iran. That's why every other president told Netanyahu to take a hike when he would try to convince them to bomb Iran.

Time will tell... and it'll be too late for most - those people who don't love the truth.
No...being wrong politically is not that kind of issue. Granted, we are in the midst of a war of good against evil, but being wrong is not a sin. Being complicit, on the other hand, can mean consequences. Mostly, it is a matter of helping what is wrong, or of the devil. In that case, one is either with the devil, or a victim unknowingly helping him. The difference is evident in the hatred, which cannot be covered with would-be Christian salutations. God knows.
