God's Purpose for the Earth has not changed!

What is the earth? Is it not that from which God formed man?
"And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." Gen 2:7
But if man was only a steward before he became a joint heir with Christ, perhaps then... the following speaks of our little lump of dirt [earth] as our inheritance:
"Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth." Matt 5:5
So then what is God's ultimate or maybe preferred purpose for our little lump of dirt?

This would of course be good if it is what God desired, but it is not such a definite thing as that, is it? First we must make it to end on His side.
First- He has STATED that He made it to be inhabited.
Second- He states the righteous will inherit it FOREVER.
Third- He created us to LUST for exploration and discovery, and
Fourth- he created an endless Universe with endless planets!

Go ahead and connect them. It may work, but they may be more to it than that. Before our rest comes His rest, at least that is what David wrote here:
"Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, nor go up into my bed;
I will not give sleep to mine eyes, or slumber to mine eyelids,
Until I find out a place for the LORD, an habitation for the mighty God of Jacob." Psalm 132:3-5
There may something to encounter better than the goals of Star Trek.
"For the LORD hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his habitation.
This is my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it." Psalm 132:13-14
And the follow NT verse and others may make us think about what Zion really is:
"Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?" I Cor 3:16
Of COURSE there will be more; only the basics are noted in the prophecies.
Zion is a reference to the land of Israel and its palace and temple- God will never PHYSICALLY "reside" there.
That's a picture of Theocracy restored!
And, yes, true worshipers are likened to a temple, since we worship God with spirit and truth.
BTW- Why use a translation that removes God's Name?

The new heavens and new earth, yes. But the old...naaaa, that would be "outer darkness."

But remember, he doesn't destroy heaven and earth and make new ones- "Look! I am making all things NEW!"
He's RESTORING all to the way it was meant to be!

Brother I have followed the lead of the Spirit for a great many years.
When I started to read the Bible at age 32 in 1976, it was the KJV. I wouldn't consider changing my reading and study Bibles now as anything else throws me out of kilter. Besides God's going to show me what He wants without regard to the version. Another English Bible to me is nearly unreadable. In addition the KJV matches best the two other Bibles I read daily. The older English for me translates more easily grammar and word wise to the German and Spanish.
My second one is a German Luther Bible printed in the old German script. It was printed in 1922. I am only the second owner. The first owner received the Bible as a gift from her daughter in 1926 [confirmed by writing on cover page]. It was apparently never used it much as it was in very good condition when I bought it.
The third one is a 1569 Spanish Valera revised in 1960.
Sentimental reasons are a poor influence.
Not only did the scholars of King James lack access to the oldest copies, but WERE pressured into translating it in favor of the church of England; thus Easter and dragons were added,as well as phony terms like "Godhead", and fake additions to the Bible (1 John 5:7).
Also, the Archaic English is almost impossible to understand without research; like Paul standing in Jesus' Bowels.
After over 35 years of intensive Bible study- which includes translations- I have found the most accurate is the PREVIOUS (not the newest) New World Translation. DESPITE Churchianty's lying claims.
Next is the Revised Standard Version (altho it COMPLETELY removes God's Name; the KJV left it in only 4 places out of over 6,900), and next, the American Standard Version.
Since NOTHING is more important than understanding God thru His Word, you need to get a New World Translation and/or beging comparing translations, investigating noteworthy differences!

Psalm 22:14 KJV
[14] I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels.
Christ tells us during the crucifix; His heart is melted in the midst of His bowels.
Philippians 1:8
[8] For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ.
In the bowels of Christ is: mercy, humbleness of mind, meekness, long suffering, forgiveness...of course Paul is standing there, in the bowels of Christ. So is every other believer.
Colossians 3:12-13 Kjv
[12] Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; [13] Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

Are you saying the KJV version is incorrect? the only research you need is the Word of God which explains what He wants us to know...which is the Son.

Revelation 21:1
Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea.
It is NOT for sentimental reasons that I retain my use of KJV. Every other version in my experience has similar or worse troubles, but I consider these words and believe them:
"Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled." Matt 5:6
Someone who is really hungry and thirsty for God's righteousness will not be left empty by Him no matter what Bible or even if they do not read a Bible.
And I should follow your advice on this and not the advice of those who claim the same kind of expertise on the other side, why?
As to removing God's name from a book, who is to judge that better than God? For this reason we need to stay in touch with Him daily and without ceasing. The most important writing is NOT what is written in the Bible, but what God has written in our hearts.
Nothing is more important than that?
"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Matt 6:33
I owned a New World Translation several years ago and did read through it and compared it with my English, German and Spanish translations. I have more than one version in each language. The differences I saw did not impress me favorably toward the one you espouse. I am being nice for what I saw would cause me to recommend against a person using the NWT when there is a choice. The NWT was lost when I moved my residence from one place to another. Since I never used it any more I did not bother to replace it.
But, as I have already said, if a person is really hungry and thirsty for the right things, God can provide them through any translation or without a book.
You worry a lot about leaving out a name, but if we are "in the name" why should we worry about such a thing for ourselves? For another, especially a new born in the things of God, the person helping the babe would have to proceed more carefully asking God for help regularly.
