Because believers have been denied the apostle Paul's final gospel which alone spells out what God's intention is for them and what is His intention in the world.
People who edit and print new translations of the Bible are the most ignorant of God's original intention. They have cut out of their new translations most of the facts that have to do with the father's original intention.
They have cut out "in Christ" statements.
They have cut out the word "perfect" where Paul refers to the believer who has Christ in him as being perfect to God in spirit. These omissions are all aimed at the plan of God that calls for His offspring to have His nature in them. It is for this reason that we like to stick to the old King James version of the Scriptures.
We feel like it has been less messed with by modern religion and presents less of its translators agenda.
In the plan of God, it is never Gods intention just to save sinners for the Baptist, or Methodist, or Catholic or Penecostal doctrines.
It is His intention to save them for His House and family in heaven. By the time religious groups spell out what is necessary to be one of them in fellowship or join their church, you will need a new Bible just to understand what they are doing. Of course, what the father is doing gets lost in all this.
His eternal intention to have His own family is lost to people building their own doctrines and their own buildings.
But the worst part of all this is what is happening to the hungry believer wanting to know God in a way that the Holy Spirit is teaching him. He is denied Gods intention for his life trying to be a good Baptist, or Penecostal, or what not.
Gods intention for the human life is clearly spelled out in Paul's epistles. When mankind starts changing anything that Paul teaches, especially the teaching he received directly from Christ by revelation, you will have what we have now in religion.
You now have everybody believing their own thing, ignoring the Christ who gave Paul the final gospel. The fact is that modern religion cannot operate according to the one man, Paul, who said "follow me as I follow Christ." Their entire structure is contrary to the final Gospel. They would have to start all over, and only God, their father, could work this out.
Most do not have the ability to work this out, so God is not in the business of changing denominations, He is in the business of bringing offspring that He has already birthed to the fullness of the Christ who lives in them.
His desire is for his own children, not the structures of man made religion.

could you expound here? Paul's final gospel, that we have been denied?

The Gospel Paul referrs to as "My Gospel" time and time again.
The certified revelation Gospel of "the revelation of Jesus Christ," the indwelling Christ.
Gal.1:11-12, 15-16.

ah ok, i was mis-reading the "we have been denied" part, i get you now, i think--you meant maybe more like "it has been hidden/occluded," or "it is not the one preached," like that?

@soul man Another good post above.

I agree, I know the AKJV has it's problems...it's not perfect...but as you say, it seems the more translation we get the more is 'cut out'... So I soldier one with KJV ... :)

God help our grandchildren or great grand children that will have a bible ( IF they are still legal) ..with no male or female gender for anyone in the bible allowed...and for sure no mention of "mother and father" !!!

@soul man Perhaps if Paul had written :" Follow the Holy Spirit as He is one with Christ." we could have avoided so much of all that division....I am not aware of the last gospel you refer to...Pls can you let me know what it was called ?

We will never be rid of divisions IMO as long as we have humans trying to tell us what God has said, there will be divisions.
As far as Paul goes, I would keep reading his Epistles and listen to what the HolySpirit has to say about them.
No man can teach this message, it is a revelation that comes direct from the scriptures.
I would further suggest you read no where else but the Epistles until this message gets fixed in you by the HolySpirit, it cannot be mixed with anything else; bless you.

Yes never a truer word spoken, and it will get worse. Those that have an ear to hear and have been quickened by the Spirit will need to stand.
Religion will be the greatest enemy to the word of God.
Man, in this last day, with prosperity on everyhand, has given themselves to change the written word of God to fit their agenda.
Some Christians take it as: just being easier to read.

Of course, I haven't visited all of the various churches [buildings with a group of people within supposedly to please God] even in my local community, but up until a few years ago I used to regularly visit many. Even as a visitor I always carried my Bible with me. In some of those "churches" almost no one except the preacher/teacher on the platform seemed to be carrying a Bible [or any electronic device with access to a Bible]. I guess that that was even easier than reading. Just listen or if it got too boring turn down your hearing aids. [I have hearing aids so I understand how they can be used.]

Should we suppose that all of those people who do not carry Bibles to church services do a lot of Bible reading at home and other places?

Can anyone here confirm for me that the situation in most of the church services have improved in this respect in the 5-6 years since I stopped my regular visits?

@amadeus Dave says the same...he says the preacher uses a laptop and Dave says he is the only one who has an actual bible in his hand.
I bet it is the first time for decades that Bibles had dropped in sales. As we know, they have always been the most high selling book of all books.
How sad is that...
All part of the great falling away. :(
And to think that back under Communism in the Chinese underground church...they had one bible. So they torn pages out of it and each took a portion home..read it over and over, learned it...then some weeks later they swap the pages for different ones. When they preached they didn't need one in their hand...it was in the heart.
How very precious did they value the bible back then. ❤️
