The problem here is that some who are born again turn away from God sometimes. I have seen this. It could be that they never really believed, I don't doubt this.

But I like to go by scripture and Paul made it clear that salvation could be lost. Many of his letters have words in them such as, IF, and IF YOU CONTINUE, and IF YOU FALL AWAY. How do you explain all Paul's warnings to Christians, to whom he was writing, if it is not possible to fall away?

Romans 11:22
2 Peter 2:20-22
1 Corinthians 9:27
2 Peter 3:17
1 John 2:24

How would you explain the above verses if our salvation were guaranteed based on nothing?
None of these verses actually say that one had salvation and then lost it.
You are reading into something that is not there.

I find often people make up false accusations when they are not mature enough to hear and verify Scripture before they speak.

I also find some people think reverences to Jesus Christ and Scripture is garbage.

I also find some people accuse others of what they themselves lack.

Perhaps when maturity catches up with you,
You will recognize what the sting means.

God Bless,
Taken
Looks like you're talking about yourself here since you're immature enough to EVER post scripture to support your strange ideas.

BTW, thanks for the compliment!

a good deed covers many sins

kind of does, but i'm not even really trying, k.
If the kingdom can be "...taken from you and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it,"
then it follows that salvation is not the one-time on/off switch complete with checklist and evidence of speaking in tongues that ol' tassle-toes makes it. We are not advised to count the cost for nothing
Amen to that.
Paul didn't waste his time exhorting us to be good people just so we could prove it to other people.
People aren't sending us to heaven or hell (whatever that is)
GOD IS. And based on US.

BreadofLife has a lot of patience with you.

Gossiper.

You don't provide scripture but only your opinion.

Scriptural references are provided for those who comprehend to go verify.
Acts 17:11

That is not sufficient.
Provide some scripture that says we are saved forever and HOW we are saved.

Forever is commonly understood, without ending. I can tell you, but can not understand it FOR YOU.

But then, you have proclaimed, you are finished Learning, thus this is likely not for your closed ears.

John 6:51
John 6:58
John 14:16
Rom 16:27
Heb 10:14
2 John 1:2

WE, otoh, have provided a lot of scripture for you to which YOU DO NOT REPLY,

Providing "a lot" of Scripture that does NOT apply to one Having Received Salvation, is moot.

which is why I've stopped speaking to you.

Immature children's go to their room and pout, focusing their thoughts on more false accusations to blurt out in anger.

You do like the sound of your own voice...

Apparently you like the sound of your own voice as you proclaim you stopped talking, yet continue.

God Bless,

You are causing people to doubt their salvation with your mumbo jumbo.....
I don't speak mumbo jumbo.
I was well taught by two mainline churches and that's what I go by.
If you can be more specific, we could have a better conversation.

BTW, I don't cause anyone to doubt their salvation if they're secure in it.
And maybe SOME SHOULD doubt their salvation from the stuff I've been hearing on these boards...

There's only one Jesus, and He NEVER said some of the things I hear around here...

Until you can address the word "Epignosis" - your answer is irrelevant.
These verses speak of the born again Christian, who has an EPIGNOSIS which is a full, experiential knowledge of Christ.

ONLY those who are born again can have an "Epignosis" of Christ - and these verses indicate that even those people can lose it all by their own doing.
I disagree with you.
Epignosis describes divine truth.
It is not used in Romans 11.
But it is used in Romans 10:2;
"For I testify about them that they have a zeal for God, but not in accordance with knowledge."
This is your unsaved.

Everyone who doesn't go to heaven goes to hell
No limbo, no purgatory, just hell
I agree.
Although I really don't know how we could be 100% sure since Jesus only said certain things about hell, and HE is the one I listen to.

How about taking those scriptures one at a time and going through them?

Like, for instance, what does John 6:51 have anything to do with what YOU are talking about??

And, yes, I like the sound of my voice better than yours.

well, from your pov maybe, yes, but you would be hard-pressed to refute any of those i guess lol.
I am not hard pressed to refute randomly chosen scripture that has nothing to do with his strange idea.

Christianity was around way before anyone here was.
Jesus was clear as to what saved a person. We're not supposed to be making up new rules in these last years.
