I posted this thread way back in September 2017 when I first joined CF......I hope it ministers to someone....it is my own personal testimony of becoming free from condemnation.

I went to church all my life, got saved when I was 7. After I became an adult I joined the adult Sunday service. We had a wonderful pastor who just happened to preach his sermon on the very sin I committed that week. At the end of the sermon he invited anyone who needed to come to the alter to rededicate, get saved or be delivered to come forward. I was there every single service. One Sunday after church and getting saved again I went home threw my body on the floor and cried to God uncontrollably and said "I give up, this Christianity thing is too hard and no matter how I try I seem to always mess up!"
Then I heard a voice, it wasn't really audible to my ears but it was very audible in my mind. It said to me "Patty, who do you think I am?"....instinctively somehow I knew he expected me to say something so I said you are God...He asked a second time, I replied a little more hesitantly since the 1st answer didn't seem to be right and said "umm The Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End, the I AM...(I got it right this time for sure!)...then He asked a 3RD TIME!!! I stuttered and searched my memory of what I was taught about who God is and finally I said what do you want me to say...
He replied soooooo lovingly and tender and said "I am your Father, and as much as you love your daughter so much more do I love you that you can't comprehend it. As your daughter grows up and makes mistakes you will correct her, discipline her at times but never ever ever will you stop loving her because of her mistakes. And neither will I stop loving you just because you make a mistake. Allow yourself to be led of the spirit, repent daily and always forgive...as I will always forgive you. Seek Me daily, walk with me, talk with me, tell me what's on your heart. I AM YOUR FATHER!" So wow..
I was approximately 23 y.o. when this happened and it liberated me from condemnation. I now know I am truly saved! Amen!

So if you mean God is the Father alone, I agree. - John 17:1, 3.

That's how I took it....it was my Abba, Father speaking to me. The thing is until he revealed this to me I feared Him as a God of Hell, Fire and Damnation.....I had an abusive stepfather and my real father was never in my life so my perception of a loving father was pretty messed up.....I never understood God as my "Father" a loving father as in a Daddy God until that day....after that day I spent everyday talking to Him about everything....literally. It felt good to have a Father for a change and one who loved me unconditionally.....even loved me enough to chasten me for my own good. lol.

For a brief time in 2016, I believe, I posted as 'tigger two' there before I was removed for daring to question certain trinity 'proofs' posted there.

I love this testimony! Thanks for sharing it.

As a perfectionist, I tend to be really hard on myself. And my earthly father was not very loving, so it’s good to be reminded that God is our kind, loving Father!

It was GREAT to finally have a Father....and He has been the best Dad Ever!...
I remember one time my boss was looking for ways to get rid of me...one day he came in the store and was going to write me up for something....however the day that incident took place I was on vacation having surgery....haha...the look on his face...he thought he had me good....
I smiled at him and said "You better be careful, you don't who my Daddy is"....he looked at me funny and said something sarcastic....a month later he was fired for embezzling.

Three Times!

"For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me." II Cor 12:8-9

"And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?
Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.
And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy.
And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words." Matt 26:39-44

"So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.
He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep." John 21:15-17

Addressing the OP, ONLY. GREAT testimony, every child of God have one, a testimony, and a Daddy. when one become aware of who their true FATHER is, that’s when life really begins. I'm reminded of a childhood encounter at school on this very thing. I was in grade school, about the 7th. or the 8th. grade at that time. during those times our teacher always had someone to come in, at least every quarter, to inspire us. you know, like a lawyer, or doctor, fireman... ect. well this particular time it was the Chief of Police of our small town who was our teacher guest this quarter. during those time in school it was no concern that the Chief of Police wore his side arm into the class room. with badge and uniform, as well as expected, all of us was impressed, except for one student. everyone else, was trying to get to see the Chief of Police, except him.
so when all of us, the student, saw that this one student was just sitting there, we all asked him, "why was he not trying to see the Chief of Police”. and this was his reply, “Ah that's just my daddy...…”, (smile), lol. see to us this was the Chief of Police, but to him, he was DADDY.

So just being God is GREAT and Wonderful, and impressive, and all the accolades that go with being the “CREATOR” and “MAKER” of all things, but to him, as with us, he's “DADDY” is the deal maker. That personal relationship of one on one, “MY Father”, is more impressive, because it’s PERSONAL. True, find out who your “FATHER” is . it’s a GREAT thing because it tell us who we are.

Thanks H2S for sharing.

I was constantly in fear of committing a sin and then die suddenly like in a car wreck without having a chance to repent and ask for forgiveness and going to hell...
and I remember when i did mess up I would be so overcome with guilt and condemnation that I would "tell" on myself before they would find out...and repent immediately and ask for forgiveness....I was so miserable and depressed trying to be perfect....I am so thankful my Father loved me enough to free me from that religious bondage I was under...our salvation should always be our Joy...not our burden.
