Yes, I admit I lost it. I break the rules of good apologetics, because I don't claim too be an apologist. What you thought were legitimate questions I perceived as offensive. I should have been more diplomatic.Thank you Taken. Never again will allow a human being to chase me off! Lol...just hurt a bit coming from him...the questions I asked were legit IMO...I only needed a little break because I did not want my own anger to lead to sin, and it would have definitely taken me to that point. I know when God says "BACK OFF NOW" Lol.
Peace!
People leave the historic Church for as many reasons as there are ex-Catholics.
Some leave because they grew up in an era of poor catechesis.
Some leave because they went to Mass as a spectator, and not a participant. This inertia culminates after the 8th grade.
Some leave because they resent the Church's strict requirements for Matrimony and/or annulments.
Some leave because they don't like being told that abortion and contraception are twin evils.
Some leave because they had less than perfect parents, or worse, had an emotionally absent father. Good boys and girls don't get angry at their parents, they grow up being angry at a symbol of their parents, and project onto the church. This tragedy is seen in every church; a mother and children with no father present. And mom frets because their teenage kids won't go to church. The bond between the mom, the dad, and the kids (a.k.a., the domestic church) with the community of "church" has to be natural, not contrived. I admire the fatherhood support programs offered by many Protestant communities.
Did I digress again? Oh darn...
