The word "spirit" does not exist in the original Greek and Hebrew manuscripts, therefore it should no longer be used, because "spirit" does not exist, the correct word to use is "breath" or "wind", for that is what the authors of the scriptures intended to convey with what gives man life, not spirit, but moving air, which is our breath, and the form angels transform into, which is wind, which is invisible to the eye, which is called an aeolian body, which is a body of wind, for angels are able to transform into different forms from their form of flesh and bones, which is the body of a man, where aside from transforming into an aeolian body, they are also able to transform into a form of fire, which is a pyronian body, which is the form Moses saw the angel that appeared to him in a burn burning bush, which corresponds with "he makes his angels winds, and his servants flames of fire", for unlike the bodies of man that descend from Adam, angels possess bodies of power, able to transform into different forms. And when an angel takes this form of wind, then he is called "set-apart wind", which is erroneously translated as "holy spirit", for a wind that is set-apart is referring to a body of wind in which an angel of God exists in, which is how it is set apart from other ordinary winds.

Sometimes these posts...with the wanky ideas ...should not be called posts...but maybe "hot air". Just a sayin'

If what I'm saying is so wanky and untrue then it shouldn't be difficult to disprove with scripture, now should it? So prove it with scripture, and let us see who is right. Look up the original word wherever you see the word spirit, and let us see if the original word pertains to ghost, which is the modern idea of what a spirit is, or to wind, which is the original teaching of what spirit is. You will not find one reference to the original word rendered in English as "spirit" that does not pertain to wind, because it is exactly the word the authors intended to use to explain what gives us life and how angels are able to be unseen in the air. Why is this so difficult to understand and believe? Perhaps because it is so contrary to the lies you've been taught.

Wind is used as an anology for spirit because people can't perceive it.
1 Corinthians 2:14

Wind itself is nitrogen, oxygen, water, argon and other trace elements in gaseous state. It is set into motion by inter molecular forces. Wind originates from the density gradient between land, sky, and sea. It does not originate from the corners of the earth, because the earth has no corners. Hence wind is an analogy for the spiritual, which is something else invisible. If God does make the wind blow miraculously it must be a sign.

There is no "spiritual", this word does not exist in the Greek and Hebrew languages, because the authors wanted to convey that it was literally breath that gave us life, and that angels literally transformed into wind. What you have done, along with many others, is discard the original words used by the authors, "ruach" and "pneuma", which literally conveys "wind" and "breath" as was their intention, and replace those words to impose your own idea of what you think it means, the idea of "spirit", which most suppose to be related to ghosts and apparitions and floating phantasms, which is why you made a distinction between "wind" and "spiritual", when there is no distinction in the original languages, it always means wind and breath, for "spiritual" or "spirit" do not exist, except in myth and folk tale.

Angels are not made of atmospheric gasses. Which they would need to be if they are literally beings of the air. Air can not manifest bodies to appear before people.

So I do believe there is a distinction between spirit and wind. Wind is used because people wouldn't understand the totally foreign concept of a world they can not see right under their nose.

Angels transform into fire,

There the angel Yehovah appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush… (Exodus 3:2 [MODIFIED-NIV])

So why would it be so far fetched to believe angels also transform into wind, which the scriptures declare happen, both in transforming into fire as well as transforming into wind?

he makes his messengers winds, his ministers a flaming fire. (Psalm 104:4 [ESV])

The problem here is you don't actually believe the scriptures, which is why you're trying to discredit the truth that angels transform into wind, and also fire, as we see in these passages, by giving a spiel that air is "atmospheric gases", when that has nothing to do with anything. Our bodies are made of many cells, does that therefore mean we do not have a body because of the little complex details that makeup our bodies? Its nonsensical. Angels are created beings as we are, so naturally any form they take, whether body, wind, or fire, will also have a material composition to its existence in creation, because creation is material, for even the wind, which cannot be seen, is made up of atomic material that gives it unique properties of invisibility and also ability to flow, unlike a gold, which has other physical properties that make it solid in its ordinary state. Again, you have a false presupposition of what the original words were concerning wind and breath, with an idea of "spirit" that does not exist in the scriptures, for "spiritual", "spirit", "ghosts", "phantasms" do not exist. If you ascended to heaven, you would encounter a physical and literal city, with physical and literal streets, that angels physically and literally walk in, where Yeshuah who was physically and literally touched ascended into, where literal and physical food exists, that the Israelites physically and literally ate when the food of angels descended unto them that they called "manna".

Looks like your are starting off this thread with a wind of HOT AIR. Kindly get back to Bible truth if you have something to discuss.

I have no objection to the use of either or. Although I prefer the use of the word "angel" because it more specifically refers to messengers that come from heaven, not messengers to come from the earth, such as prophets or apostles. If you say a "messenger" came, it is ambiguous, you do not know if its talking about an angel or a man, but if you say an angel came, then you know what type of messenger came.

I do Agree with what you have stated, OK But just for comprehension's sake! as long as the reader gets an understanding that it is the Spirit of God, how does that demise the intent, I have never seen an Angel, But I have seen the wind!!! move stuff, and I do not believe in Ghost's ether! Wind & Set Apart I am familiar with!

Well I would probably use the word Messenger when speaking to other believer's, so I think it would be taken with reference to messengers of God, But you are Quite right, it could leave an uncertainty in some case's!

It is uncanny as I was going over this same subject just yesterday. It is about time folks come to the realization that God lived in and out of time and in any 'space' as the source of all energy and life.

There is no word as ‘spirit’ per se, as was said in the OP UNLESS we define it as something like this as it affect a person: the inner moving invisible energy force field (or words to that effect) that affected one’s inner man or heart.

Jesus used the description of the invisible moving wind that we ‘feel’ on our skin.

God IS an invisible and always moving (dynamic) invisible super intelligent energy being, in some unknown overwhelming form, of love and the source of all eternal life and immortality.

Let add some meaning to John 4:23 for example:

(Joh 4:23) But the hour comes and now is, when true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit (from the heart’s inner moving invisible energy) and truth (as God has revealed himself to them in/into their heart, and not mind); for such worshipers are who the Father seeks.

(Joh 4:24) God is Spirit, and they that worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. (NEV)

Blessings to all that love God and his plan for us,

What makes you and the OP say this when the 2nd verse in the Bible* clearly presents *the Spirit of God*. The context makes it clear that neither *breath* nor *wind* would make any sense since this is a reference to the Holy Spirit -- Ruach ha Kodesh.
*וְר֣וּחַ = we ruach = breath, wind, or spirit

(Gen 1:2) Now the earth was formless and empty; darkness was on the surface of the deep and God’s Spirit (invisible moving intelligent energy) was hovering over the surface of the waters. (NEV)

Enoch: It makes beaucoup sense that the spirit means God’s invisible energy or life force and it was hovering over the surface of the waters. I believe you cannot ‘fight’ the fact that at least spirit should have the meaning of God, as an invisible moving energy that has super intelligence and feelings etc. Invisible moving wind as the OP says is better do use that spirit, although what I wrote it even better and more to the point of who God Almighty is in essence.

It does make folks rethink the Trinity model, quite a bit. That there is no other extra floating invisible energy personality hanging around as another dedicate God spirit beside God’s own essence or being.

Great Day!

How would "wind" not make any sense to hover above the waters, what do you suppose hovers above the seas today? Is it not atmosphere and air? Go on a cruise, which sails through the seas, and see for yourself that it is air that exists above the seas, just as air exists above dry land. Yet even so, when the scriptures speak of the "wind of God" in the beginning, it is speaking of a wind that is set apart from other ordinary winds, hence "set-apart wind" as it is also described in other scriptures to refer to the same thing, which means someone exists in that body of wind, where the existence of that somebody in that "wind of God" was none other than Yeshuah himself, for that was his existence in the beginning, in an aeolian body as I have described in detail in my post to help grant understanding, which is why it is also said,

The wind of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life. (Job 33:4 [ESV])

For it was this wind of God, which was the form Yeshuah existed in previously, that issued commands to bring forth existence to all life in the heavens and also on earth, hence "the wind of God has made me". There is no "third being" called the "holy spirit", it is a figment of your imagination and a misinterpretation of scripture. "Set-apart wind" is what existed, in the way I described to you, which scriptures tells us is the truth.

The Spirit of God is LIKE the wind. Wind is mysterious. It is an invisible force that has great power. But a natural wind is just that...natural. There is no life in a natural wind.

The Spirit is as a wind in the natural...but it/He is divine.

The wind of God IS wind, for it is the form that the heavenly bodies can transform into, literally, the form of wind, hence,

he makes his messengers winds… (Psalm 104:4 [MODIFIED-ESV])

"Spirit" does not exist. The original words for "ruach" and "pneuma" ALWAYS pertains to wind and breath, for the reasons I gave you and that are written in great detail in the study (which you probably didn't read or skimmed through). There is no such thing as "spirit", it is a figment of your imagination which you are imposing unto the scriptures, which is a word that serves a greater lie that discards the simple truth I am telling you.

I worship God through the breath he gave me, for it was the breath that gave me life. You on the other hand worship a figment of your imagination that you call "spirit", which does not exist in the scriptures. And you're stubborn, which makes it worse for you to come to understanding.
