At first I thought the whore of babylon was the Roman Catholic Church but after doing lots of research I discoveredidn't alot of evidence that it's actually ancient pagan rome, the one thing that has me still questioning if the whore of babylon is the catholic church (specifically vatican) is the fact that babylon is identified as a spiritual whore, in the bible a spiritual whore is someone who was in a relationship with God but then went after other gods and ancient pagan rome never had a relationship with God, can anyone help me with this confusion

Well here is the thing. Paganism and idolatry began in ancient Babylon, and then spread into the whole world including Greece and Rome. Under Constantine, the Catholic Church incorporated many pagan beliefs and customs, and they have remained.

However, "the whore of Babylon" represents an amalgam of all false religions and idolatry under the Antichrist, whose ultimate idol will be the Abomination of Desolation or "the image of the Beast". And the ultimate false worship will be the literal worship of Satan and the Antichrist worldwide.

So you're saying it's called a whore because of idolatry?

All organized religion...

Babel is the same as Babylon. In the Hebrew they are identical. When people came together to build the great tower of Babel....they said..."let us make a name for ourselves".

So anything that men have named...ministries , churches...etc..is Babylon. It is the attempt of men to organize God around themselves. It is something meant to aggrandize the position of men.

If you view Revelation as history repeating itself. The whore has many faces throughout history. As does Antichrist and tribulation. The Judgments run from the first century until the end of the world.

No it's not it's identified as one thing
The oldest commentary on Revelation so far uses the recapitulation method of interpretation. In this view history (the things mentioned in Revelation) repeats itself. So Nero was the Antichrist, as is the Papacy. And possibly Islam in the future.

Don't burn out on Revelation. It's best to study the different views of interpretation and not use your hammer because it's the only tool you have.

You asked for help, I sincerely offered it. So keep looking you'll find an answer, not necessarily true, that suits you.,

And what merit does your answer have to being true where in the bible does it say that the whore of babylon is multiple things

Revelation is symbolic. If you look for the symbol to appear, it will never happen. If you look for what the symbol represents, you can see it in history, now, and know what to expect in the future.

There is a literal list of items in revelation 18:12-13 that are found in babylon they're not symbolic of anything
