All of a sudden I am just wondering what is Easter and what are we celebrating ?

Man's word or is it what in the bible ....... GOD's word !

Some remember ✟ the death, burial, and resurrection on Jesus....while other worship the easter bunny ( chocolate easter eggs ) , and have a sunrise service which is all paganism.

You're a little early with this question. But then the early bird is supposed to get the worm.:)

Anyway Easter in Christendom has nothing to do with pagan practices. The whole world is made to focus on the greatest event in human history -- the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.

But according to Scripture, "the Lord's Day" is meant to be a weekly celebration of the resurrection, and at the same time a weekly Remembrance Feast of the crucifixion.

Easter is found in KJV Acts 12:4
In NIV and NKJV it says passover.
In the end I don't it matters what we call it,
It's what is in our hearts when we celebrate it. The sacrifice of The Son, the cleansing and ressurection.
(studying the prophets has been hard on my spirit, I do not wish to offend anyones beliefs, please bare/bear with me and forgive me if I have or do)

I don't observe Christmas or Easter. But think both of these keep Jesus' name up in lights. So as Paul says, “What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.” (Philippians 1:18)

Many will say I celebrate Easter and Christmas, and if you tell them that they are of pagan origin, they will say! But, that's not what it means to me, and our response should BE! I don't care what it means to you!! I Do Not Worship You!!! It boils down to this!!!! What does God Think, or does anyone even care!!!!!!!!!!!!???

Easter, also called Pascha (Greek, Latin) or Resurrection Sunday, is a festival and holiday celebrating the resurrection of Jesus from the dead, described in the New Testament as having occurred on the third day of his burial after his crucifixion by the Romans at Calvary c. 30 AD. It is the culmination of the Passion of Jesus, preceded by Lent (or Great Lent), a forty-day period of fasting, prayer, and penance.

Most Christians refer to the week before Easter as "Holy Week"—it contains the days of the Easter Triduum, including Maundy Thursday, commemorating the Maundy and Last Supper, as well as Good Friday, commemorating the crucifixion and death of Jesus. In Western Christianity, Eastertide, or the Easter Season, begins on Easter Sunday and lasts seven weeks, ending with the coming of the fiftieth day, Pentecost Sunday. In Eastern Christianity, the season of Pascha begins on Pascha and ends with the coming of the fortieth day, the Feast of the Ascension.

The devil hates the idea of the resurrection which is represented by Easter Sunday.

I believe that this is one of the reasons why he is anti-kjv-only. (I suppose you didn't expect that I would be the one to bring up the subject--:p).

I only care what the Bible teaches because the Bible is the Written Word of God; and God's Word never taught his church Easter, but his "Seventh Day Sabbath's-rest" IN JESUS CHRIST, BY HIM AND THROUGH HIM "having RAISED Christ from the dead by the exceeding greatness of his POWER" "once for all" "in these last days", "ON THE SABBATH".

No, he loves it!
The devil hates the Resurrection of Christ "the third day in fullness of Sabbath mid afternoon before the First Day of the week", "ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES"!
I sense an element of sarcasm in your statements.

Believe it or not, there are those of the anti-kjv-only element who contend that the inclusion of the word Easter in Acts 12:4 is an error and should be removed.

Depends on who "we" are.

Some are earnestly celebrating on one chosen day, the thankfulness and glory of Thee risen Christ the Lord Jesus.

Some are celebrating the mythical Greek goddess Eostra.

Some are celebrating, chocolate bunnies, candy, toys and games.

God Bless,

There is always a reminder in the holiday of Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection since good Friday is always celebrated a few days previous to Easter.
