[QUOTEArticle by Mary Fairchild
Christian minister and writer
Thoughtco online.

Many Christians believe in a future End Times event when all true believers still alive before the end of the world will be taken from the earth by God into heaven. The term describing this event is the Rapture.[/QUOTE]

Perhaps "many Christians" do believe what she claims. She never says HOW she concluded this theory.

There are many "true believers", WHO have not, will not Confess their Belief "IN GOD ....and CHRIST".

Concerning "the True believers" going to Heaven....

Well there are Heavens. THREE Heavens.
The Lowest being the earths atmosphere .... that human men can See; the sun, moon, clouds, sky's.

If her intent is to MEAN the Lower Heaven, then that portion is True. If the reader of her article believes she meant the Higher Heaven, then that understanding is False.

The Word 'Rapture' Is Not in the Bible
The English word 'rapture' derives from the Latin verb 'Rapere,' meaning 'to carry off,' or 'to catch up.' Although the term 'rapture' is not found in the Bible,

Agree. The WORD RAPTURE does not appear in Scripture.

Agree.
The Latin term for Rapture means to catch up / to carry off.

The Greek term for Rapture is Harpazo, which means snatch, seize, carry off, take, claim, catch up.

AND...
the theory is based on Scripture.

And...the TEACHING IS based on Scripture.

Those who accept the Rapture theory believe that all non-believers on earth at the time will be left behind for the tribulation period.

That IS FALSE.
Those who BELIEVE IN God and IN Christ and ARE Converted IN Christ, AND Trust His Word is True, BELIEVE "THEY" SHALL BE "Caught up" to the Lower Heavens, ie, the Clouds, WHEN the Lord Jesus descends FROM Heaven TO THE CLOUDS, and CALLS UP TO HIM.......HIS CHURCH.

THAT is the meaning of RAPTURE.
WHich ONLY applies to Christ's Church.

Christ's Church HAS ALREADY received;
1) forgiveness of their sins
2) a Restored and SAVED soul
3) a Quickened spirit
4) the Power of God within them

They CHOSE to drink from the SAME CUP of indignation, that Jesus accepted.
They have been persecuted, rejected, lied about, wrongly accused......

....JUST as the SAVED NOAH was risen up above the face of the waters, when God destroyed the earth with water....

SO ALSO will the Saved unto Christ, be risen up above the face of the earth...

WHILE for a short period of time, some on earth WHO believe in God, will be coming into Belief in Christ and their souls SAVED, and their souls removed from the earth.

And the grand climax when God Pours out indignation upon the Earth and upon All who rejected Him and became Marked by their father, satan.

Most Bible scholars agree the tribulation period will last seven years --

Agree.

True followers of Jesus Christ

No. The Converted IN Christ.

will be transformed into their spiritual bodies in the Rapture and taken from the Earth to be in

Yes.

Heaven with God.

The Lower Heaven, CLOUDS above the Earth.
WIth Christ Jesus the Lord.

Non-believers will be left behind

Yes, along with those who ONLY believe in God, and NOT that Jesus IS the Christ.

to face severe tribulation as the antichrist prepares to take his place as the Beast halfway through the seven-year period.

Inaccurate.
Any man WITHOUT Satan's mark, who turns to God AND Christ Jesus in Belief and Confession ....in the first 3 1/2 years will have their soul saved, and their soul risen after the opening of the 5th Seal, risen up Before God in Heaven.

Those facing the last 3 1/2 years of the tribulation, are they marked with satan's mark and those who rejected God and Christ Jesus.

According to this view, non-believers will still come to accept Christ in spite of the Church's absence during this time.

Misleading. The Church shall have been removed from the Earth....
However the Lord clearly has measures IN PLACE for men to HEAR HIS WORD and Warnings, from 144,000 on earth with the SEAL of God, and from an Angel who shall speak the Word of God in all the World.

However, these new Christians will endure extreme persecution, to the point of death by beheading.

Already known, ANY MAN becoming Converted IN Christ, IS subjecting themselves to the World's Indignation....
Revenge is not theirs to effect.

God has a CLEAR PLAN to pour out Indignation upon the Earth and ALL who remain steadfast in Rejecting God and Christ Jesus.....shall suffer the consequences.

IF you ARE saved, please present your beliefs of WHY you believe the SAVED (unlike Noah) will remain on the Earth and suffer THROUGH Gods Second Destruction of the Earth.

If you ARE NOT saved, scroll on by.

If you ARE READY TO SPEAK YOUR THEORIES "FOR OTHERS"...scroll on by.

God Bless,

I reject any 'rapture to heaven' for anyone. The Bible never says it and Jesus refutes it. John 3:13
The only exception yet to happen, is the two Witnesses and they get killed first.

What is prophesied to happen in the soon to take place; end times, is a sequence of events commencing with the Sixth Seal worldwide disaster, the Day of the Lord's wrath. A one day reset of our civilization, of a similar magnitude as Noah's Flood, but only about half of the worlds population will die this time. Mostly in the Middle East, Africa, India- all that area facing the sun when it's noonday in Gaza. Zephaniah 2:4
This dramatic event, will set the stage for the establishment of a One World Government, but we Christians will be motivated to migrate to the holy Land to live. Psalms 107 gives a great preview of this. Ezekiel 34:11-16, Isaiah 35:1-10 and Romans 9:24-26 confirm it.
Great will be that time!

Disagree.

Disagree with your understanding.

Jesus manifested on earth marked "those"/'these" Last days. Heb 1:1

There is always a Preparation Before an Act.

The World is being Prepped for the Beginning of the Tribulation, which will at the Beginning, introduce a "welcomed by many", World Government and "Leader".

Christ's Church is Prepared, Already SAVED before the Tribulation begins, and risen up,
(1 Thes 4:17)
above the earth, (1 Thes 4:17)
as in the Day of Noah, (Luke 17:26)
risen up above the earth, (Gen 7:17)
Saved (Gen 7:23)

Well at least it is one of those new doctrines which don't matter at all.
Some chose to believe they will be zapped out of trouble. Others believe that we are called in His service and have been supplied armour for the last fight.
Many will be disappointed and taken off guard when the furnace gets hot.
God has always promised to be 'with us in trouble'.
There is one place of 'rapture', and it is "in the Secret Place Of The Most High, under the Shadow of the Almighty"
He is our strong Tower.
The rest is a twist of scripture ...and lies told not more a one hundred years plus, ago...But , it sells books!!!

I have read some of the post, but not all. let's put this rapture doctrine to rest once and for all.

the scripture,
1Cor 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
1Cor 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
1Cor 15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

this is the FIRST RESURRECTION when the Lord Jesus comes. now think. if this be the first resurrection, and there are two, notice what the scripture said, "AT THE LAST TRUMP".

listen closley. 1Thess 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
1Thess 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord".

now this,
Rev 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
Rev 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
Rev 20:7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
Rev 20:8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.

now between the first resurrection and the second one is a thousand years. so do we have the Lord Jesus coming twice, and we havent included the rapture ye. THINK,

if the Lord Jesus came and raptured the church, who are these saints gathered together in1Thess 4 above? the mistake is this. those who BELIEVE IN A RAPTURE, it's reaLLY THE FIRST RESURRECTION.

for if not you still have a big dilemma, because our Lord Is to appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
Heb 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

here in 1Thess 4:16 & 17 is our salvation, EVERLASTING LIFE. now, if JESUS returned to heaven, now he's got to come a third time to raise unrighteious, which will be three times.

do one see their dilemma now?

re-read this post for clearity.

the scripture,
1Cor 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
1Cor 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
1Cor 15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
This prophecy is entirely about the Great White Throne Judgement. The ACTUAL Last Trump.
Immortality is not and cannot be conferred upon anyone until the GWT, after the Millennium, when the Book of Life will be opened. Revelation 20:11-15
This happens at the Return of Jesus for His Millennium reign. No one is taken to heaven then, or at anytime.
now this,
Rev 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished.
You avoided Revelation 20:4, where it states that only those martyred for their faith during the Great Trib, will be brought back to life. Not yet given immortality, they must wait with everyone else until the GWT Judgement.
let's put this rapture doctrine to rest once and for all.
YES; the entire doctrine is a bunch of lies and will never happen.
We are plainly told we must stand firm in our faith during the forthcoming times of testing. 1 Peter 4:12 Believing in a rapture removal is liable to lead to complacency and a loss of faith, to your possible eternal regret.

Yes, and the Converted with Him.

I can attest, I have spent money on dozens of versions of Scripture.
