In 1984 I was attending college in Tonkawa, Oklahoma....Northern Oklahoma College. On one particular day after class I was driving home and was listening to a Christian radio station. An advertisement came on announcing and upcoming event of a prophet-evangelist coming to a church in Oklahoma City as a guest and who would be ministering to those who attended. The Holy Spirit spoke to me and said pull over and write down the information...time, date and address.

When I got home I went into my bedroom and prayed and asked if I was supposed to attend this service and the Holy Spirit said YES.

The day of the service I dressed and drove to Oklahoma City...(it was a 2 hour drive). When I got there (no GPS at that time) I had to stop and ask for directions 4 times. Now in my mind I am expecting a huge beautiful church....when I finally found the church it was a little white building not much bigger than a house. I was the only car in the parking lot....I saw a light was on so I went inside and there was a little ole black lady in the pews. So I sat down and looked at my watch. It said 7:30....I waited, and waited, and finally I went over to that lady and asked her about the service and if it was suppose to start at 7:30.....she said "honey it is fixin' to fill up...they be showin up..anytimes now...don't you fret." and then she smiled....well sure enough the church filled up and by 8p.m. it was full.....They were all black people....I was talking to God in my mind and asking "Lord is this a test to see if I am prejudice? You know my heart better than I do so I don't understand."

Well the song and worship leader led the singing....then the pastor began preaching.....no sign of the special guest speaker....I cannot even tell you what the pastor's sermon was about because by 9 p.m. I was upset and crying that I came all this way for nothing. (Feeling sorry for myself because I had a test to study for and I should have stayed home)…..
The pastor finally closed his sermon and introduced the guest speaker....this man stood before the congregation upon the stage and just began pointing to people and they would stand up and he would speak a prophetic word to them....and this went on for awhile...I was really in awe that he could know all this about these people...I had never heard a prophet speak.

Then he stopped....I looked at my watch it was 10 p.m. and I thought he was getting ready to dismiss....….but then......he spoke.....he said..."there is a lady here, her name is Patty, she is from Pawnee, Oklahoma, her dentist name is Dr. Keith Smith and she just had a filling repaired a few days ago and it cost her 35 dollars...and if she is here the Lord has a word for her".
I was in shock...I even looked around to see who there knew me....then I raised my hand and said that is me.
He said come up here....(he didn't make anyone else walk up to the front)...so I walked up to the front. Then he looked me directly in the eye and said...."the next several years of your life will be like one behind an old plow shear plowing a field....this is symbolic of the trials and tribulations you will suffer but if you remain faithful to the Lord in the end you will receive your harvest."
This really didn't mean much to me at the time but as the years came and went I would remember this word every time I suffered a major trial or tribulation.

Now I need to also say that a month or so after this...another advertisement about another prophet in OKC...same thing...the Holy Spirit said go...I went ….he prophesied the same prophesy as the 1st one.

So for those who say there are NO PROPHETS today....PLEASE EXPLAIN THIS.

Now we know your name is Patty....good to put a name to a moniker.....and you have at least one repaired filling. :) :) I like these little personal touches.
Well, this particular testimony needed to be shared as it actually happened.....and besides God didn't seem to have any problem with sharing all that with the whole congregation...lol.

God has never ceased to have prophets, the larger majority unknown. He is active not only amongst Christians but also those that know him not.
I pray for an instructed tongue and understanding that every opportunity is a witness to his glory. Mostly for me that means shutting up but that is not God's will for all. Ohh for wisdom and discernment!

It is entirely possible that God enabled this preacher to somehow identify you specifically. That does not change the fact that the apostle John was the last apostle and prophet.

However, what he said to you ...this is symbolic of the trials and tribulations you will suffer... could be said to every Christian, because the Lord already told us this: In the world ye shall have tribulation (John 16:33), which, though addressed to the apostles, has a general application.

This was confirmed by the apostles: But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled... Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin...

Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified. (1 Pet 3:14; 4:1;12-14)

And James said this: My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations [testings]; Knowing this, that the trying [testing] of your faith worketh patience... Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience. Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy. (Jas 1:2,3; 5:10.11)

all very true, but not everyone's name is Patty, lives in Pawnee, and cares for her teeth.

As I said, it is very possible that God revealed these details to this man. Although it is rather unusual.

At the same time evil spirits can also provide such *insight*. Denise Lescano, a psychic medium, has this to say (in all seriousness): A true Medium should be able to communicate with your friends and loved ones who are crossed over and deliver to you very specific and detailed information about you and your loved ones lives who are now crossed over. (I will not provide the link for obvious reasons.)

But to have the same prophesy spoken by another person a month or so later....at a different church? It was confirmation....prophets are subject to prophets and he establishes His word by 2 or more witnesses of it.

Well without meaning to you are confirming he was a prophet.....because prophets today speak what God shows them and what they speak is backed up and aligns with scripture.

All I am saying is that only God knows how he came by your personal information. We do not know anything about this man, but the other scenario I presented is that spirits are able to reveal to mediums such personal information. None of us knows if this could be possible in this case, and I am not jumping to any conclusion.

What we do know is that I could have told you exactly the same thing about tribulation simply by quoting from Scripture. In fact I could tell every child of God on this forum that they are in for some trials, tribulations, and testings, without the shadow of doubt.

What gave you that idea?
John himself.

JOHN WAS INCLUDED WITH THE PROPHETS
Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God. (Rev 22:9)

GENUINE PROPHECIES ARE CLOSED
For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book (Rev 22:18)

OMISSIONS FROM THE BOOK OF REVELATION WILL HAVE SERIOUS CONSEQUENCE
And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. (Rev 22:19)

John was the last living apostle who wrote the last book of the Bible around 96 AD. He put a lock on his own prophetic book ("the words of the prophecy of this book...the words of the book of this prophecy"), and by extension on the Bible, the Word of God. This makes him the last legitimate prophet also.

A prophet unknown to my wife told her she would indeed receive the children she had prayed for. We had never seen nor heard this person before. We had been married 14 years and doctors had provwd my wife could not conceive.

We had dreams, visions and Holy Spirit encouragements during that waiting time. Sitting in the front row hearing evangelist R. W. Schambach preach on Abraham and Sarah while looking right at us.

The Lord told me two years later on Tuesday October 29th,1979 that my wife was with child. He'd told us he was sending us a son. We put his name in a baby book that week. He was born Wednesday, June 25th, 1980.

Unbelievers explain everything God does away and cling to denominational demonic denial. After all, if God still did those things it would mean Jesus is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.

Miracles, gifts of the spirit, moves of God are fine as long as they took place in "Bible days" or in the sweet ol' by and by. Just don't believe for anything today

Ask your doctor of dumb-vinity and he'll tell you nothing is for today but man wrought works. He was taught this truth at Dallas theological cemetary or a similar dead from the roots up institution..

Using scriptures to try and disprove other scriptures is devil inspired confusion. Each scripture supports itself and all others. Do not use scripture to try and prove God has changed. Demons brought this into gatherings now described as denominations. God's church has zero to do with denominations. A denomination of Zero can be assigned to all of them.

Do not believe that God retracted what He so freely gave. Abandon that dead denomination and seek God, not the doctor's warped opinion.

Never never never do any deniers of God gifts and spirit have one single thing to share that Jesus spoke to them. Never. Even though Jesus promised that his sheep would know his voice. They can't hear the shepherd.

I do have to add a caveat. The Devil knows how to counterfeit the real. There are many false prophets in the world. I'm revelation we read of the second beast calling fire down from heaven in the sight of the first beast. I believe this is a counterfeit latter rain... But the latter rain is going to be a real experience for the remnant people of God

False or counterfeits though are emulating the genuine. As far as end times many of us won't be there to see them. There are many things that have yet to come to pass.

I've never been too interested in end times seeing there is so much to be done today. Too many unsaved, unreached souls. I must spend my labor in the here and now to reach those who have never heard of end times, millennial reign and so forth.

I must work while there is yet light to reach those dwelling in darkness.

Cessationists believe that somehow...by some fluke, plot, or cosmic error, God and all His angels have gotten themselves trapped within the confines of the pages of our bibles....I suppose in a similar way that the criminals on Krypton were banished to a floating prison in space (in the Superman comics). Of course they are short on the specifics of it. But they also believe that the devil and his demons were too smart to be so confined...leaving them free to live in heavenly places and visit mankind.

Of course they could be wrong and just the victims themselves of a cosmic ruse that the devil has concocted to keep people away from believing in a God who is smarter than the devil....and still very much free.

Stay tuned...
