I feel very, very blessed. My daughter and I got back to Indiana late last night. I came back to an icebox. Lol. But very blessed to be home.

I did get to see my father after 17 years and my new step mother. It was a very emotional visit. We didn't stay long, because my aunt has cancer and we had to go. But I gave him a little of my mom's ashes and he got to hold his granddaughter. It was just like a normal day and I promised to write and send pictures. There has been a lot of change in these years and I am willing to have this broken relationship restored. And because of this my sister is willing also. We will never trust him with kids alone. But it gives me peace in my heart that my father is a good man. He does still drink, but has got his life together, and my step mom is very sweet.

I really got to help my Aunt Cheryl while we were Austin also. My Aunt Cheryl has terminal cancer on one of her glands (adrenal I think), pancreatic, and lung. The doctors gave her a couple months to live. She is trying one last treatment to prolong her life. My cousins need prayer. The kids are having a hard time, because my cousins moved down from Indiana to help. The kids just miss Indiana though and their parents have to work. The visit meant a lot to my aunt and my cousins though and I got to help by cleaning and watching the kids/letting them show me the trails by their house. Lorena loved it too.

Then the next week we went to Houston with my sister, bro in law, and nieces. I went down there with $50. I think they spent a bundle on us though. They blessed our socks off.

We did so much!!!

1) ate out at Lubys twice, Escalates, Jack in the Box, Church's chicken. All the places I miss in Indiana

2) took family pictures at JC Penny

3) Thanksgiving party and adult time

4) watched "Fantastic Beasts 2" and the new "Robin Hood" at the theater

5. Went clothes shopping for the kids

6. Toured a mini mansion that is my bro in law's parents house and beat them all at scrabble

7. Hung out with the nieces

8. Geeked out up late watching movies

9. Went to the nail salon and got our nails done

10. And of course do the turkey pokey.

11. Went to the Galleria which is a mall in Houston. Had Star Bucks multiple times!!!! Closest to us up here is like half an hour. Lol

12. Went to the Houston Zoo

14. Played arcade at Dave and Busters.

But y'all know the biggest thing is my family are Jewish. I got to do the candlelighting for Shabbat with them Friday night. I learned about Minion Monday (which that is so funny it is called that), and my sister and I had a conversation about Jesus without arguing. She told me she hasn't excluded Jesus out of being the Messiah. She just doesnt know yet. We talked deeper about some things and I really felt the Holy Spirit working. I was very blessed to see her and my nieces. Overall, this has been a wonderful trip. There was even a blizzard in Chicago, so I got an extra day in Texas, because they had to cancel and reschedule. Flew into North Carolina instead which was so neat. I never been there and it is very beautiful from the sky.

You are blessed for you have a very innocent open spirit. By your posts I see that you have a certain innocence about you and that you are often besieged by the adversary trying to confuse you over biblical words.

Stand fast and stick to the word as you are striving to do and all will be well.

Texas is my home state and any visit there is good news!

Yep, Austin is just beautiful! It is great to visit Houston for family, but I like the country a lot more. Indiana is just great. Small community, cornfields and stars. :)

And yes. I constantly have to study and question even the things I think I know. In this way I learn and grow. :) His Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light u to my path, as His Word says.

Great verse there from Psalm 119; and yes I must visit Texas sometime...
