I feel very, very blessed. My daughter and I got back to Indiana late last night. I came back to an icebox. Lol. But very blessed to be home.
I did get to see my father after 17 years and my new step mother. It was a very emotional visit. We didn't stay long, because my aunt has cancer and we had to go. But I gave him a little of my mom's ashes and he got to hold his granddaughter. It was just like a normal day and I promised to write and send pictures. There has been a lot of change in these years and I am willing to have this broken relationship restored. And because of this my sister is willing also. We will never trust him with kids alone. But it gives me peace in my heart that my father is a good man. He does still drink, but has got his life together, and my step mom is very sweet.

I really got to help my Aunt Cheryl while we were Austin also. My Aunt Cheryl has terminal cancer on one of her glands (adrenal I think), pancreatic, and lung. The doctors gave her a couple months to live. She is trying one last treatment to prolong her life. My cousins need prayer. The kids are having a hard time, because my cousins moved down from Indiana to help. The kids just miss Indiana though and their parents have to work. The visit meant a lot to my aunt and my cousins though and I got to help by cleaning and watching the kids/letting them show me the trails by their house. Lorena loved it too.
