My 2nd Ex-Wife will be Raised from the Dead in the Name of Jesus Christ

I have been counselled by my Holy Spirit in the recent past that she needs to be raised from the dead. She sufferred a wrongful death. I also have been reminded to keep praying for her.

Raising the dead is for disciples of the Lord to do, as He commanded them to do so.
Matthew 10:8

I think it is a wonderful thing that someone can be raised from the dead to then follow the Lord to eternal life. I believe Brenda will be raised from the dead.

John 5:19-29

Glad you think about her. And really Christians need to think about not just their loved ones but those who may not be friendly or lovely. But at least you were on good terms with her it seems. God bless you all as a family.

Hmmm. Just a bit confused here. For some reason I thought you weren't to pray for the dead. That alone seems impossible, but I wanted to pray for my dad(suicide) and was told not to. Any biblical reference on this?

yes, but it would take a while to develop, so instead to make the point i would ask you to consider why you want to pray for your father, to what end, iow.

Your father is just fine btw, he is at rest now with Samuel and Saul, 19you and your sons will be here with me, etc.

Holy Bible - John 11:41-42
41 So they took away the stone. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou heardest me.
42 And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the multitude that standeth around I said it, that they may believe that thou didst send me.

Since none of us actually knows how God may decide to do anything He chooses, why do we assume we are to cease praying for people at their deaths? It may do nothing, but I doubt God is going to be torqued-off if we do so.

Alert, so I understand you: You mean you are believing that through your prayers she will be raised up like Lazarus was by Jesus, or the girl in Joppa whom Peter raised from the dead, correct?

This is painful to watch. I emphasize with your loss and desire for healing. May Jesus restore her to health and may you both accept what he has done. Accept her absence.

Yes. Her body is not present, so through my prayers. Again, she is to be raised from the dead to life as I have been councelled by my Holy Spirit.

Since you say "my Holy Spirit" instead of "the Holy Spirit" it would appear that some lying spirit has given you this information.

In any event why would you be involved with your second ex-wife? Looks like there are some serious issues here.

What my thread is about is different than as you have posted. I am not councelled to pray for Brenda to be raised from the dead in vain. Rather, because I am councelled that she needs to be raised from the dead, the will of the Lord is known. And so I have prayed and should continue... and do so - believing.

FINALLY...someone with some discernment and wisdom in their post.

Thank you for your post.
If anyone has been paying attention to all the other threads and posts this poor man has posted ...a person could see that he needs LOT of wise help.
In one he said he is tormented by his demons etc etc...

He needs much prayer...we can at least do that for him. Amen

Well, I was getting there... not familiar with the rest of his posts, but "my Holy Spirit" was a clear give away. I was just more concerned about him than his messed up delusion. As Forrest was saying, it is hard to watch. If he is actually expecting it to happen, I was afraid for what he might think when it did not, which is where I was going next.

Thanks for the heads up.

I may say, "My God."
I may say, "My Lord and Savior."
But some say I can't say "My Holy Spirit."

I will have my Holy Spirit forever, my counselor, my comforter, my helper; the Lord, the giver of life, the Holy Spirit. And my Holy Spirit has not councelled me otherwise.

So tell me how your Holy Spirit councils you. Yes, the Holy Spirit would council the same to everyone who has the Holy Spirit.

I am very sorry for your loss....my husband died several years ago and it is hard to lose your mate...about a month after he died he came to me in a dream and said it was time for him to go and he wanted to say goodbye and let me know I would be alright....then I woke up and I could literally smell his scent and I had tears running down my face.

I am not convinced that when the body dies the spirit/soul stays in the body. Through testimonies of numerous others who have died and come back they seem to have the same testimony of being in the presence of God or Jesus or to have followed the light. Many testify that they saw an angel at their bedside as they were dying....

Billy Graham made this statement....Billy Graham: When a Believer Dies an ‘Angel Will Escort Them to Heaven’

The Rev. Billy Graham recently answered a reader’s question of whether angels escort believers to heaven after they die.

“When we die, does an angel accompany us into heaven? I’ve heard this all my life, but is it really true? How do we know?” the reader asked in the Answers section of the famous evangelist’s website.

“Yes, the Bible indicates that when a believer dies, the angels will escort them safely into heaven,” Graham began in his response, according to Charisma News.

Graham then provided an example from the Bible of an angel escorting a believer to heaven after death:

“In one of His parables, for example, Jesus told about two very different men. One was a rich man, who lived only for himself and ignored both God and others. The other was a poor beggar who had nothing as far as this world’s goods were concerned, but had faith in God and His promises. When the rich man died, he received what he deserved: a life of misery, separated from God forever. But when the poor man died, the angels accompanied him safely into God’s presence. (You can read this parable in Luke 16:19-31).”

Graham ended by reminding the reader as he always does in his responses to readers’ questions that salvation comes only through Jesus.

“Never forget, however, that Christ alone is our Savior, and He alone is the one in whom we are to place our faith and trust. We should be grateful for God’s angels, but we are not to worship them or make them (instead of Christ) the center of our faith. Is Christ the center of your faith? Make sure of your commitment to Him. Then put your confidence in God’s promise: “For He will give His angels charge over you to guard you in all your ways” (Ps. 91:11).”

This from a Baptist preacher...David Jeremiah.....FIRST-PERSON: Your heavenly escorts

For every Christian, the time is coming when we will move into our heavenly homes, assisted by the Lord's real estate agents -- called angels. After carefully studying this subject in the Bible, I've come to believe that angels take believers home to heaven when we die and help us move into our new houses. And the Lord Himself pays their commissions!

This is tremendously comforting, and it takes much of the intimidation out of the move. The primary Scripture teaching on this comes from the lips of Christ Himself. In describing the beggar Lazarus in Luke 16, Jesus said, "So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham's bosom," referring to heaven. Notice that Lazarus wasn't merely escorted to heaven. The angels carried him there.
Death is our most universal and dreaded experience, and even Christians can be apprehensive. But in the Bible, death is never defined as the cessation of life, but as separation. Physical death is the separation of the soul from the body. Spiritual death is being separated from God. Eternal death is being separated from heaven. For the Christian, the separation of soul and body is temporary; and at the resurrection, our eternal souls will be reunited with our glorified bodies.

It's a difference of context. You may not have meant it this way, but there are a number of spirits who attach themselves to people personally who are not of God. Witches refer to them as "familiars," and New Agers sometimes call them "guardian spirits." The terms "Father, Lord, Savior" are most certainly used in a more personal sense within Christianity, but the Holy Spirit generally is not. He instead is described as a Spirit that fills us all and is in us all, so using the expression "my Holy Spirit" in the context of New Testament usage suggests you are referring to a spirit personal to you alone, which smacks of spiritism.

But again, I was trying to avoid vilifying you for anything. I was simply concerned with your personal welfare.
