Yes, I guess both passages are relevant. Very solemn.I was thinking more John 20:25-29.
I think a lot of ppl who do it — see for example the quote from the Bible Belt, below — would say that it's a way of using a proven means of witness as a conversation-starter.
FYI:

Faith based or not, it is proven effective, in any case.If everyone is doing it then why would it start a conversation?
I realize all seem to want to discuss their tattoos. Clothing, jewelry, carrying a Bible, the list is endless of conversation starters. The spoken word works well of someone wants to start a conversation. Its just a justification.

As the Bible Belt quote shows, so many do it, anyway.
I guess if one views the matter from the point of view of a lot of things in the church age - as a dispensationalist I would see the Gospel rather than the law as the rule of the believer's life - then if it can be used in Gospel witness, then it has value. Marriage is not for heaven, for example; this does not mean that Christians in the church shouldn't get married; it is in fact a blessing for now. Many do it is a fact. Does not make it right.
So do you expect to see tattoos on resurrected bodies?
What are your thoughts on putting graffiti on the NT Temple of God?
1 Cor 6:19
I expect to hear that faith based tattoos honor God. So how about the resurrected bodies question?
My answer was not to presume full knowledge; but rather to look from the angle of what may be seen as wtiness-relevant to the church age...So... not going to answer the resurrected body question?
Good night.

More do than don't, especially when you get to the under 30 crowd. I hardly know any female at church that is under 30 that does not have a tattoo.
People do indeed grow in their knowledge of the inking experience.Yes. I wonder if the dark ones were some of her first, before she became more knowledgeable.

Those who have reached the stage of full sleeves and large back-pieces will have certainly gone through an intense leaning process in which their style will have become much more clear to themselves.
I expect you will have seen that development of understanding among any family or friends that may have gotten it done a few times; what they thought when they first stated; and what they think and prefer now can be noticeably different, right?
I guess he didn't talk to you about his ink plans/aspirations.I personally don't know many people who have tattoos. My brother in law has a few but they are fairly new, so not enough time for style to change.
Do any of your family/friends have tattoos? When I was young I did not know a single person my age with tattoos.
I guess he didn't talk to you about his ink plans/aspirations.
(So your sister doesn't have any ink, then...)
