On the very near Rapture Day Jesus will Return and Catch up those Looking for Him!
Hebrews 9:28 28
So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
AMP Hebrews9:28 28
so Christ, having been offered once
and
once for all to bear [as a burden]
the sins of many, will appear a second time [when he returns to earth], not to deal with sin, but to bring salvation to those who are eagerly
and
confidently waiting for Him.

confidently waiting for Him.

An interesting difference between what you quote from the bible and say will happen.

The bible talks about people waiting for Jesus to appear, you say those looking forJesus to appear.

The inferrence is that you think Jesus will only come for those Christians who in addition to faith have added the work of looking for Jesus's return.

So the gospel is not just about what Jesus has done for us but also involves the work of activle looking for Jesus's coming and those Christians who are not will be left behind.

What happens to them, is there a specal place in hell for them?

Those saved but not looking for the return of Jesus will be left behind and must try to live under anti-christ rule and the years of he great tribulation. Why choose to go to heaven the hard way??? Jesus says pray you be counted worthy to escape!

You're reading something foreign into the Scripture. Being gathered by our Lord Jesus when He returns is not depending upon some state of mind to be looking to be raptured.

When He appears, all will know whether they have waited on Him and been faithful to Him or not; and He certainly will know, which is why He will close the door on some. The five foolish virgins of Matt.25 will not have been found faithful.

2 Cor 11:2-4
2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.
3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.
KJV

2 Cor 11:13-14
13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
KJV

It seems you don't really know what the end of this world is actually going to be about. Satan as the Antichrist is coming to our world to deceive the whole world into believing he is God, working great signs and wonders, raining fire from heaven down upon this earth. Who will remain faithful waiting on Jesus to come and end that and gather His faithful saints? You have to know what Satan and his angels are coming to do on earth to deceive first. Otherwise, like Paul taught there, you might believe on that "another Jesus" instead of waiting on our true Lord Jesus Christ Who comes later.

If all your Church is telling you is to 'look' to be raptured, and not warning you about the events soon to come upon this world, and upon Christ's Church, for we aren't going anywhere until Jesus comes to END the great tribulation, then you truly are hurting and may very well be deceived.

The manuscript meaning of Hebrews 9:28 "look for" means to await, to expect.

NT:553
pekdechomai (ap-ek-dekh'-om-ahee); from NT:575 and NT:1551; to expect fully:
KJV - look (wait) foreign

(Biblesoft's New Exhaustive Strong's Numbers and Concordance with Expanded Greek-Hebrew Dictionary. Copyright (c) 1994, Biblesoft and International Bible Translators, Inc.)

NT:1551
ekdechomai (ek-dekh'-om-ahee); from NT:1537 and NT:1209; to accept from some source, i.e. (by implication) to await:
KJV - expect, look (tarry) for, wait (for).

(Biblesoft's New Exhaustive Strong's Numbers and Concordance with Expanded Greek-Hebrew Dictionary. Copyright (c) 1994, Biblesoft and International Bible Translators, Inc.)

Basically then, the Scripture is simply saying those who 'expect' Jesus to return are those who will be in His Salvation. It's an obvious statement, like looking at a vase and saying something like, "that's a vase". Of course it's a vase. Of course only those who believe on Jesus will be in His Salvation when He comes the second time, which will be on the last day of this world.

Now if you're being taught our Lord Jesus' second coming is a rapture prior to the end of this world, then you're in trouble and may very well be deceived by the coming supernatural false-Messiah that comes first.

On rapture day unbelievers and saved people not looking for Jesus will be left behind== Hebrews 9:28 tells us who Jesus is returning for on rapture day.

Right of the first part, but not the second.

The partial rapture theory risks becoming a sense of pride, which is sin. And it exhibits a poor understanding of what justification is by confusing sanctification with justification. it becomes yet another works righteousness gig.

All those who have placed their trust in Yeshua will be caught up together. Their eschatological position is not a condition of that. Those of us that hold to a pre-trib idea also believe that all the redeemed go together. None that trust in Yeshua will be "left behind".

Paul seems to suggest that there is a reward for those who are looking for Yeshua's appearing. So it might be possible that those who are not looking for Yeshua's appearing could miss out on that reward. But that doesn't mean they missed out on justification and being gathered to the Lord.

2 Timothy 4:8 Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.

Those that do not believe there will be a catching up (rapture) should read Hebrews 9:28 and learn who Jesus is returning for on rapture day!

Jesus did indeed say to pray the you will be accounted worthy to escape what's coming on the earth and stand before Him.

Luke 21
[35] For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.[36] Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

Lukewarm Christians will be spewed out of Jesus' mouth and into great tribulation. They will have a rough road during the antichrist kingdom. The fire will either purify them or burn them up.

Jesus said:

Mathew 24
[40] Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.[41] Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.[42] Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.[43] But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.[44] Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

I still side towards the idea that all who are in Messiah will be removed. The partial rapture concept seems like just a variation on works righteousness. Either a person has been redeemed by Yeshua's death, burial, and resurrection of not. Three isn't some sort of partial saved thing going on. One may be less that stellar in their walk, but it is not their walk that saves them. Else one risks implying that Yeshua is not sufficient.

I have become more convinced that the Laodicean example about lukewarm and spewing is more in relation to the church as an entity, and it shows Yeshua is outside knocking. They don't even have time for the King! The Laodicean church is more "Christian in name only" it would seem. And I think that will really be the crux of the issue... who really has placed their trust in the true Yeshua and not just a member of the First Church of the Social Gospel.
