Today how many identify as Christian? How many identify by their denomination.

How many cannot tell you what the Bible says but tell you what their doctrines?

And yet many do not comprehend why Paul said what he said in his warning and instruction.

As the data shows nondenominational is growing and is the largest group.

Denominationalism is so dead and empty God is not there.

But with the influence of the secular world many are turning toward exciting religions to feel something. Pentecostalism within Christianity, something that did not exist until about 1900.

Or the promise you can be a god in Mormonism.

Or just flat out secularism.

Is it any wonder apostasy is rampant?

How many denominations now defend homosexuality and abortion?

How many believe you can reach Jesus via any religion?

How many of these will be neither the truth of the tribulation when they enter it?

Some talk about revival. I believe we are in a salvage operation to salvage those left who will come to Christ.

The Bible is quite clear the church age will. What is going on around us agrees.

Yet we have those who say it isn't that bad, Israel is not a return and everything will just keep going until the second coming of which is a totally unknown when event.

I believe the description of churches today being tombs is accurate. They are full of spiritually dead.

So many leaders today are motivated by power, money and lust.

Hi @CoreIssue,

No, no wonder at all! How relevant are the words of Paul to Timothy:-

'I charge thee therefore before God,
.. and the Lord Jesus Christ,
... Who shall judge the quick and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom;
Preach the word;
.. be instant in season, out of season;
.... reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

...... For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine;
........
but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers,
..........
having itching ears;
............ And they shall turn away their ears from the truth,
.......... .... and shall be turned unto fables.
But watch thou in all things,
.. endure afflictions,
.... do the work of an evangelist,
...... make full proof of thy ministry.
For I am now ready to be offered,
.. and the time of my departure is at hand.
.... I have fought a good fight,
...... I have finished my course,
........ I have kept the faith:
Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness,
.. which the Lord,
.... the righteous judge,
...... shall give me at that day:
and not to me only,
.. but unto all them also that love His appearing.

(2 Timothy 4:1-8)

Praise God!

In Christ Jesus
Chris

Hello @CoreIssue,

I listen to the news and see what is happening in the world around me, and I see the conditions mirroring the prophecies of Scripture concerning the times which will mark the end of this dispensation. I see the installation of 5G and the advances in technology surrounding every aspect of life, and see mankind following after, looking for the latest thrill, as creation groans. Advances in medical science, and in genetic research leading to possibilities which I cannot bring myself to think of.

Wars and rumours of war, famine pestilence, flood and destruction.

But Praise God! He knows, He knows.

In Christ Jesus
Chris

Since I believe falls was a cult I did not want to include them in this list. I also note as a nondenominational believer I do not accept the label products. But with that said I'm stuck with using this label to find information.
This post makes absolutely no sense. "falls was a cult"? "the label products"? Are you in grocery store?

'These things I have spoken unto you,
that in me ye might have peace.
In the world ye shall have tribulation:
but be of good cheer;
I have overcome the world.'

(John 16:33)

Yes, @farouk, thank you.

I would like to make an observation regarding the first pic. You have the early church progressing directly into Roman Catholicism. I would dispute that.
Correct. There were many churches and Christians outside the pale of Rome which were striving to maintain the New Testament pattern.

We are talking dominant characteristic of the time.

But to say the early church just kept going is false.
No one is suggesting that the early church just kept going... There came a time when it was no longer early. And the papal church was not the dominant church anywhere except in certain times in Europe. The Celtic church was dominant in Britain until the 7th century at least. There were Christian churches in Africa over which time had no influence at all. Not did the papacy have any contact with the eastern churches or the Assyrian churches. Not until the Jesuits made their devious and insidious inroads into the East those eastern churches only had to deal with Islam and Zoroastrian opposition.

Those who are aware know the SDA has a lot of false doctrine around the Catholic Church.

CoreIssue needs to study History of the Christian Church by Philip Schaff since he is poorly informed about this matter. Also History of the Baptists by Thomas Armitage.
