I'm giving an online praise/shout-out for my daughter. She is in her early 20's and is so dedicated to her faith and her walk with God. She endured some really rough years as a teenager who battled an eating disorder, was bullied, and mocked for her faith. In spite of all of this, she has remained steadfast in her faith, got through her eating disorder with medical help, graduated culinary school with honors and has adopted the philosophy of pleasing God, and not people.

Her Bible study makes me look amateurish by comparison. She gets up early each morning to spend 2 hours in bible study and prayer before going to work - and yes, she lives with us while she's saving up money for her own place. She is an absolute pillar of faith and I thank God every day for the honor of being her father!

Amen!
In this day and age it seems even harder for the younger ones to 'walk close'.
Demands of university studies and working seem to coax them away from faith.

I am so glad that you are blessed in your daughter.
May God bless her and use her in His service. ✟

No, she wasn't saved before me. She was 8 at the time I was saved. She committed to Christ when she was 16 and was baptized at that time. She took a while because she wanted to make absolutely sure that this is what she wanted. She takes those commitments very seriously.

She sounds very well disciplined for a young girl ♥

She really is! She's going on 23 now, and I'll put it this way - she has her act a lot more together than I did when I was that age!

That's an awesome commentary as to how she was raised :) being so young yet, so interested in the things of God!

That is amazing to hear! Young people now a days who honor Christ and love Him are few and far between! Praise God for His work in your life!

PS I love your profile picture! Still trying to get the vinyl of Master of Puppets.... one of their best Albums IMO. I have Kill Em' All, but I need to get Master of Puppets.

Thanks! I've been listening to Metallica since '85. I saw them in Seattle 2 years ago, and they're still a great live band!

So do you prefer heavy metal or hard rock?

To be honest, I love both! I just don't get into the extreme metal - that's a bit much for me. But I'm the kind of guy who can listen to Led Zeppelin and then put on Iron Maiden next. I also have a soft spot for classic rock, like Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Who, Yes, Rush, etc.

Definitely go see them if you have the chance. They put on a very good live show.
