... there's not a shred of evidence in all the NT ...

Perhaps you have a clip from "Forest Gump" which you can identify with ...

John 2:4 “Woman, why do you involve me?” Jesus replied. “My hour has not yet come.

We often think of blindness as physical, but for some it's intellectual -- and it's intentional. It's called Intellectual Dishonesty. :)

Doesn’t one of their books, state to not care about non Jews even if they’re in peril? Khabbala? Don’t know if I spelled it correctly.

I don't know. The Kabbalah is not going to be accepted by all Jews as their Scripture.

Being Jewish they would more than likely be concerned with the cost of something. And, disregarding safety on a job can be very costly due to fines and law suits. And if a death occurs as a result, it can be business ending.

Can someone answer this?
Hi JP...I know there are many Jews now who follow the writings of the Talmud and, from what I have learned of the Talmud is that is was all written by Rabbis? Don't quote me on that but...if that's the case they are not true Jews. They call them Talmudic Jews. :)

Thank you Nancy, that’s the book Talmud.
Wow...well, Jew or Gentile, both can be greedy and as the Talmudic Jews do NOT follow God's true Word...I have to wonder if these are the ones spoken about in the NT where Jesus tells His followers to beware those who say they are Jews but are not.
"Revelation 3:9 (WNT) I will cause some belonging to Satan's synagogue who say that they themselves are Jews, and are not, but are liars--I will make them come and fall at your feet and know for certain that I have loved you."
Not sure it is the Talmudic ones who are being spoken of here but, it is the verse that first came to my mind. ♥

Wouldn’t they be the Pharisees?

Yes I missed it.

Yeah, it's not a RELIGION, it's a spirit. Jesus called it out as recorded in the Book of Luke:

Luke 11:47 Woe to you! for you build the tombs of the prophets whom your fathers killed. 48 So you are witnesses and consent to the deeds of your fathers; for they killed them, and you build their tombs. 49 Therefore also the Wisdom of God said, ‘I will send them prophets and apostles, some of whom they will kill and persecute,’ 50 that the blood of all the prophets, shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation, 51 from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechari′ah, who perished between the altar and the sanctuary. Yes, I tell you, it shall be required of this generation.

... and the "generation" which Jesus is speaking of is not the "generation" of 50 AD, but the "generation" of mankind. So it stretches from the ancient Prophets and Apostles through to the end of the Millennial Kingdom.

John 2:4 does not in the least demonstrate a lack of compassion on the part of Jesus.

Phoneman, notice how dangerous it is when someone like Bobby Jo hijacks the scriptures? He has actually warped the character of Christ beyond recognition. This phenomenon is happening in politics, religious circles, and throughout the world. We are at the end of Western culture for certain, and perhaps the end.

Up is down and down is up.

What's the matter? Do you not like what Jesus said?

John 2:4 “Woman, why do you involve me?” Jesus replied. “My hour has not yet come.

How about if YOU re-write all the portions of Scripture that don't suit your agenda. Or, simply take an Exacto Knife® or Sharpie® until the Bible reads how YOU want it. Don't like Daniel Chapter 2? Tear the page out. Don't like the Prophetic Psalms? Tear the Book out. Don't like GOD? Stop pretending you're a Christian.

Easy peasy, :)

Not the slightest tinge of coldness in Jesus' voice there, friend. As I said, "woman" in Scripture is a term or respect, unlike today when it is often used to convey irritation.

Can I just add something to the mix, regardless of ' how ' Jesus may have sounded, he still went on to support his mother - he still took her need seriously. He did not walk away.

There are some very interesting points about that wedding that you may want to consider and if you like, look a little deeper.
1. It is the only wedding in the New Testament.
2. Christ and the Apostles went out of their way to go there.
3. It involve more than one day.
4. Christ's mother was there.
5. Her request is more or less a request for supplies for the festivities....wine.
6. It appears to be important to Christ also, because He steps out of that veil of secrecy to publicly make that wine.
7. The wine Christ made was not just wine, but very good wine.
8. The compliment Christ gets seems to imply that it is His planning...like He is connected to the wedding.
9. Christ's Mother seems to have a vested interest in this wedding. Enough to ask for a miracle.
10. This occurs after Joseph has disappeared from the scriptures...so he has probably passed on.
Now the question is; Is there a way we can figure out who's wedding this is? Good luck.

Speaking of weddings, does one need to be wed by an ordained person, or can one just be married in the eyes of God?
