That is why it is troublesome when anyone says that they are "required" to do anything to maintain salvation.

Only faith is necessary. But I think most of Christendom has lowered the bar in their definition of faith. You only need to believe one thing Jesus said and all the other things are optional.

Consider Israel. They had faith and stepped out under the wall of water and were saved by God. But they later became unbelieving as far as temporal provision was concerned. So to start in trust is good. But if, after He saves you, you are found in unbelief, will you somehow receive a better deal than Israel?

i gave you a like in principle, but i doubt you have met God wadr ok

Its okay. You don't have to believe He lives in me and I commune with Him. It doesn't offend me. I would have had a hard time believing it too 13 years ago.

Have been receiving some nice insults from both @ScottA
and @Lady Crosstalk ....

I can't imagine why...
I try to stick to scripture but am finding it difficult with them.
Will no longer reply to either one.

No insults of you were ever intended by me--simply criticism of what you were teaching. I honestly felt obligated to attempt to refute what I feel to be false teaching by you and others. The manner of commenting here, where the specific posts of others are cited in the response, probably is the reason why many assume that they are being singled out for criticism. On the other hand, you made sure that the targets of your wrath were singled out as "YOU". If you are here to learn (as I hope we all are) , it would probably be best to avoid taking things to a personal level. In reality, none of us knows the other and unwise assumptions can be made. I pointed out that you said things that were quite insulting to others, implying that they were somehow just trying to avoid responsibility for good works. When I objected to your manner, you just, in effect said, "Tough. You shouldn't be in an online forum." I could say something about hypocrisy but I don't want to rouse your wrath again. It is not particularly good for you or for others. Peace. Out.

three Gods.

Oh wait, never mind...the arrows between Father, Son, and Holy Spirit say "distinct from" rather than "NOT"...and I actually agree with that.

But I would also say that there is a sense in which the Father is the Son is the Holy Ghost...while they are also distinct from each other. Because they are distinct...not separate.
Agreed.
Anyway, WHO can understand the Trinity??

No.
There are 3 persons in ONE GOD.
You got it the second time you looked.
I would go so far as to say that there are three Persons who are in effect the same Person. One God.

Anyway, I'm not going to derail this thread by hashing it out again here. I think that it has been adequately covered in the thread that I linked everyone to.

I would definitely use the word Persons for Father, Son and Holy Spirit; I don't see Scripture saying that they supposedly merge into one.
They don't merge into one...one disseminates into three. And I would use the terminology of both Persons and Person.

It's really all about the witness of Scripture to God in Three Persons (John's Gospel, John's First Epistle, Matthew 28, Romans 8, etc.)
Can you be more specific (maybe take it to the other thread)?
