When you consider . . . their boats . . .

13 grown men in a boat that's something like 20 ft long, and it was getting swamped in the waves, and Jesus was sleeping in the stern?

This means He was apparently sleeping while sloshing in water, as everyone is all right next to each other.

Psalm 107
23 They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters;
24 These see the works of the LORD, and his wonders in the deep.
25 For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof.
26 They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble.
27 They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wit's end.
28 Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses.
29 He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.
30 Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven.
31 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

Jesus had absolutely no concern whatsoever. And though He chided them for their lack of faith, He still took care of them. And happened to demonstrate at the same time that YHWH was in fact standing in that little swamped boat.

Much love!

Your turn.

:)

Missed this one too!

Well it's true.
If you want your house to be dust free...
YOU have to dust it (or someone else).
God is not coming down here to dust your house for you.

Now apply that principle to everything else in life and in this world.

Yeah, I've noticed that. He doesn't take out the garbage either!

Does this mean that Jesus was NOT exhalted before?
Jesus emptied Himself...He became a man...

John 17
Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said: “Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You, 2 as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him. 3 And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. 4 I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do. 5 And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was.

It ain't me that's saying things. You've confused what comes from the Pulpit as though it came from the Scriptures. I merely cited Scripture, including verse 9 in which AFTER Jesus died on the cross, GOD EXALTED HIS SON! :)

Philippians 2:8 And being found in human form he humbled himself and became obedient unto death, even death on a cross. 9 Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name which is above every name,

"Therefore" is There For YOU! :)

Yes, John 17

I seam to remember you mentioning that once before, but you didn't elaborate on it.

I don't want to share on their behalf, but I think it is here somewhere on the forums. It would be easy to glance over as walking on water wasn't explicitly stated and it wasn't the subject of the post.

This may not be the best place for it to be shared anyways.

... And what is coming from the pulpit should be the same as what is in the N.T.

Exactly right, -- should --, but it often isn't:

1 Cor. 14:29 Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others weigh what is said.

If we judge the prophets, then more so the evangelists, pastors, & teachers! :)

Don't believe ANYTHING you hear. Check for YOURSELF!

I've done that and even approached the pastor after service. They don't want to hear it.

I respect your reluctance to elaborate. I don't know the circumstances of your knowledge of the event.
But I do remember you mentioning it.
But you may remember when I revealed that the Holy Spirit told me that I will be alive when Jesus returns.
I didn't talk about it much until I read the Scripture that said, That which God tells you I secret shout from the roof tops.

But it's your call. sorry if bringing it up made you uncomfortable.
God bless.

Hmmmm. Maybe Trump won't be reelected and some knucklehead will undo all the foreign relationships he has gained.

Actually that appears to the "plan". We'll have a significant war in the Middle East and the FAKE NEWS will hang it around Trump's neck. Then a Democrat will be elected who will turn the U.S. sovereignty over to the U.N., and then we'll end up with global thermonuclear war. -- GOOD JOB! :)

Yes, Trump was a reprieve. I voted for him because he was NOT a politician. He was also a genius. I love geniuses.

You're a BRAVE Lady. I asked my own pastor for 20 minutes of his time, and he not only REFUSED, but then lied and said we had our "meeting". But that's not the end of it, -- an acquaintance pastor who I had coffee with on Saturday mornings listened to my account and then lied -- saying that he "recalled" me telling him that I had a "meeting". So pastors are not only dishonest (human), they also lie to cover for each other. :)

Were you trying to discuss end times or another subject like "sin" or "remarriage"?

Do you remember when Jesus came to the house of Lazarus, Martha and Mary? You sound like Martha. LOL ;)
I know.

I was thinking about this last night.

Back to the walking on the water. Jesus sent the disciples across the Gallilee, and He went up onto a mountain to pray. What should the poor disciples have done? The Master said take the boat . . . we do what He does . . . we should be up there praying. But He said take the boat. But maybe then they wouldn't have seen Jesus walking on the water.

I know what you are saying. Jesus was sleeping because He had no concern. I pointed out that with the boat filling with water, and what those kind of boats were, that meant Jesus pretty much must have been laying in water. Who would be sleeping in that? An open boat, waves pouring in, in that . . . Jesus lay sleeping.

The disciples should have been equally unconcerned, but while they sailed the boat. And maybe bailed it out a bit.

Much love!

There was another time when Jesus told them to take the boats and go across while Jesus dispersed the crowds. When they got to the other side, Jesus was already there. It appears He never left them. However he did it, it was supernatural. As for lying in water, maybe it was a hot night. ;) It didn't bother Him, and we need to be content in whatever our situation.

I'm having difficulty trying to figure out which one, -- "sin" or "remarriage" --, would most further detract from the OP. ;)

So I guess I'll have to choose "Daniel 9 Seventy Weeks" in a NEW topic. Hope to see you there if you're still interested! :)
