When God makes the change in us we are able to overcome this world. The world does not need to change to fit me, I will be changed and can operate perfectly in whatever world I'm in. We can rest in the change if it has come to you. Christians can be imbalanced on that, trying to change the world, and have rest at the same time. The two are not conducive to each other. Your rest is part of who you are whether the world changes or not.
Everywhere you look you see great battles and obstacles to see change in the world. It robs people of their peace and the rest they have in Christ. The world is set against everything Christianity stands for, but Christians can have the knowledge they don't need to change the world, but can overcome the world as Jesus said they could. That doesn't mean we just lay done on the world either, if you feel led to bring change to an area then you should do so. Thank God for those that fight certain areas of evil in this world. I pray for them and will support them, but I dont feel led to do what they do and they may not feel led to do what I do that is the way it should be, each to their own and let each other do what they feel led to do.
If you feel led to a certain thing and have let it be known and others follow that's good then go do that, but don't condemn others that don't feel what you feel, do what you are supposed to be doing and leave it at that. But we are not going to change the world, we can impact an individual life or lives, but the world is fixed. The sooner you find that out the sooner you can enter your rest and stop wrestling with evil, you can't win, wasn't designed for you to whip the evil of the world. If your going to conquer evil, it must be in your own life.
When God created the world it had a tree with evil in it, you have to figure out if was there to hurt mankind, why was evil in the world? You will have to answer that. Isaiah 45:7 says,
7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things.
Those are questions you will have to answer to move on in God.
