I don’t believe everyone has demons - Christ’s death and resurrection brought us freedom not more enslavement. I do believe some Christians are obsessed with demonology and it is a really bad idea for several reasons

1. You are giving the devils what they want - attention
2. You could be stunting your sanctification due to your obsession.
3. You could stumble across something really demonic and suffer some terrible outcome

I suggest you just cool it and refocus yourself on your sanctification- loving God and neighbor

First of all, what is your definition of a demon? Webster's: Demon definition is - an evil spirit. How to use demon in a sentence. an evil spirit; a source or agent of evil, harm, distress, or ruin; an attendant power or spirit :

An evil demon/spirit can torment a person, is this what you are talking about?

For example: 1 Samuel 16:13-15 13So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the presence of his brothers, and from that day on the Spirit of the LORD came powerfully upon David. Samuel then went to Ramah. 14Now the Spirit of the LORD had departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD tormented him. 15Saul's attendants said to him, "See, an evil spirit from God is tormenting you.

Now you are going off the deep end. This issue has already been addressed in depth but if you wish to hang on to bizarre ideas, then that is your problem.

This is similar to the Leftist rant that Trump is (a) a racist, (b) a bigot, (c) a white supremacist, (d) a Nazi, (e) worse than Hitler, and (f) in the pocket of Putin. ALL FAKE NEWS.

What a great WORD...amen bro.

I said the same in a different thread..
This guy is obsessed with all things dark and negative...his posts reflects where he spend his time...and what he focuses on.

He he doesn't watch himself he will be overtaken with darkness.
We become what we behold...

Pilate was used like Balaams ass... He pointed at Jesus as they led hHim out, and said " Behold the man"

A good word for us today..." Behold The Man" We will go where ever our 'boat' is pointed at ( if we wish the not miss the mark ) :)

...H.

If you have a demon then rebuke it! Take authority and command it to go in the name of Jesus. We as children of God do not have to put up with demonic attacks or influences. Jesus gave us authority over them and equipped us to be victorious against any attack.
My friend if you truly do have demons and want to be rid of them submit yourself to God, resist the devil and he will flee. James 4:7

I dare a demon to even come near me...they wouldn't stand a CHANCE!

I have a feeling they wouldn't come close to many of us here! ;)
1 Corinthians 15:58 58Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the LORD, because you know that your labor in the LORD is not in vain.

An evil spirit that can control a person mind, body, and spirit without Christ in full control.
Mark 11:22-24 KJV And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Very interesting take on the thorn in Paul's flesh, one of the more interesting articles I have read in quite awhile. Have not heard it put this way before. It does fit the scriptures pretty well...especially the OT use of the same word "thorn" as messenger/angel.

"In the Old Testament, the term “thorn” is used as a metaphor for a person or group that persecutes God’s people"
"In this context, God’s enemies are called “thorns” in Israel’s sides (flesh) that “vex” and torment them. These “thorns” were human beings inspired by God’s enemy."

I never even thought to look at anything about the thorn in the OT!
Yikes, I better study much more diligently to show myself approved!

I had thought at one time that his "thorn" was pride. And the reason I thought this could possibly be:

"Because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, for this reason, to keep me from exalting myself, there was given me a thorn [splinter] in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to torment me—to keep me from exalting myself! "

"Paul immediately says that he would rather “boast in his weaknesses” so that Christ’s power may dwell in him (v. 9)."

Great food for thought/study! Thanks for sharing ♥2S :)

I didn't read the article, if this is what it's saying, I'd agree, that if there is an answer in the Bible this is it.

Much love!

We all have demons man even Christians, its biblical even paul had them who's more righteous then all of us, and the devil entered into peter more than once, my point is people don't even realise dis, i'm just edifying people dats all, people are sleeping on this matter, if u don't believe they exist or can come in u den u are deceived and they can attack u more without u knowing and their job would have been accomplished, wat is the greatest deception of the devil apart from the garden, convincing the world dat hes not real, wake up people!!
