God says in Romans, that anything we judge others Of We are guilty ourselves. How can this be reconciled? What are you speaking about?
Matthew 18:15-17God says in Romans, that anything we judge others Of We are guilty ourselves. How can this be reconciled?
I don't think reporting an attorney for malpractice is passing judgment on his spiritual life.. just exposing his professional practices to the Bar Association.God says in Romans, that anything we judge others Of We are guilty ourselves. How can this be reconciled?
We’re not talking about the assembly of GodMatthew 18:15-17
Jesus tells us if our brother or sister offends us to privately address it and if they refuse to acknowledge their actions then go get 1 or 2 others so that everything you say is confirmed by 2 or 3 witnesses.
If they still refuse...tell it to the church and if they refuse the church's decision then consider them treat them as a pagan or a corrupt tax collector.
Are you real sure that is how it is worded? The addition of the verse/s you are referring to would be helpful.God says in Romans, that anything we judge others Of We are guilty ourselves. How can this be reconciled?
She has been trapped in This for a very long time. I want to see her free, I believe in order for this to happen, she has to see her Own offense. We’re not talking about the assembly of God

I am a Christian, but I am not a doormat for others to walk all over. If someone robs me I am going to call the cops, if a doctor causes permanent damage from malpractice I am going to seek compensation for damages, if a person attacks another person I am going to help defend them. And in this situation a lawyer has lied for personal gain so I would not allow them to get away with it.She has been trapped in Dios for a very long time. I won’t see her free, I believe in order for this to happen, she asked to see her Own offense.
I'm unsure what you mean? I know we are given an example of Christ - but there is a dichotomy there also: Christ did nothing when the soldiers came to arrest him and Peter cut off the guards ear - and Christ healed it. But in another Scripture we're shown Christ turning over the tables of the money changers and driving them out of God's House.
I tried projecting what would be the best outcome - if the lying individuals turned to God if I turned the other cheek. Ultimately, that benefits all of us since there are more ethical, moral people populating the world. But then I thought that if I let it go then they'll be shown that lying and cheating works and they'll continue to do it. Also I began thinking of how frugal I am and how I've had to work hard for anything I've gotten - so does it glorify God if I turn the other cheek and let that lying lawyer go blow the $800 he stole from me on his pleasures - money he didn't earn?
Some of these decisions get very tricky and when there are verses that seem to contradict one another it's hard to judge what the best course of action is.
Those two Scriptures are unrelated. The first one tells Christians to have no fellowship with evildoers or participation in any evil deeds, and to even expose them if necessary. Turning the other cheek is a metaphor for refusing to retaliate or be vengeful when someone does you great harm. How do you account for the several verses I gave then? How can I make a decision that I know is right if Scripture at one point says "Have nothing to do with the evil deeds of darkness but even expose them" and elsewhere says "Turn the other cheek"? What decision would you personally have made, trying to harmonize seemingly opposing Scripture? I just haven't found it easy to do.
I think you should, not to get personal revenge, but to prevent possible harm to other people.I still have no problem with reporting a licensed professional for malpractice.
I think it's clear with Ezekiel that he was given the ability to "move like the wind" the way Jesus talked about people who are born of the Spirit. It's less clear with Daniel. We also see John being caught up to Heaven in Revelation. He's not called "son of man" directly, but he does "see" the Son of Man. "We shall be like him for we shall see him as he is" comes to mind. But He giveth power to be called the sons of God

How so? Eye for an eye would indicate I do to them what they do to me.Eye for an eye?
Jesus says I’ll repay. Vengeance is His.I don’t know. You ask a good question. As children of God we are to set up a standard (IMO). What you said of Him driving the money changers out of the temple...was not this His saying this is not to be so in the temple of God. Yet, as you also mentioned His willingness to go when they came in the garden for Him. All your confusion over the right approach I think is fair and reasonable and (IMO) to be commended that you care what God says. Only advice I can give is to surrender it to Him who judges righteously. Even if you take no action...if it is God who wants a justice done then surely He can bring that justice about in many ways. Consider Paul who when a man had done wrong within the body ...Paul said he had already judged and they were told to put him without for Satan in hope the flesh could be destroy but a life saved. Why didn’t Paul just take justice...instead submitted destruction to satan. What does justice even look like...Saul gave the orders for Stephens stoning yet then for the sake of mercy; Paul is given the message of the gospel of grace to the gentiles. God’s ways surely are higher than our own. If you don’t hear a clear path...ask God to.

That verse poses something of a problem, doesn't it? Was Jesus contradicting Moses? I don't think so, not if we remember that all the Law is about Love, if interpreted correctly. People would go around in Jesus' day saying that to justify themselves; but the real meaning is rather nice.Eye for an eye?
