Things just went truly downhill. I need a friend :(

Hi Jennifer! Blessings in Christ Jesus, and as Episkopos said, in Him you have a friend who will never fail you : )

Hopefully we can be a blessing as well, so welcome to Christianity Board.

Btw, I've had things go downhill on me, too, before. The nice thing is, when you walk with Him, things have a way of going uphill again, and better than ever before : )

Please feel free to share what happened, if you like. We at this forum will do our best to be there for you.

Hello Jennifer, and welcome here. There are several prayer warriors on here and we would be delighted to pray for you. If you are down then there is only one other direction to go and that is up, reaching for Jesus. God bless and keep you sister.

My life just took a severe nose dive as well. These things tend to happen around the holiday season. People get stressed out, and they let things go until they just blow their top.

I learned a long time ago, that when it seems like the world is crashing down on top of you, the only one you can ultimately lean on is Christ in you. Sometimes life has this way of getting us off track and forgetting how close Christ really is.

I had a crisis of faith a few years ago. I became a nervous wreck. So much so that I could barely make a phone call. Some times it would take me a few minutes just to punch in one phone number correctly. I called every church in three counties. Less than 10% called me back, and even then the only thing they could offer me was food, or money. I didn't need either. I needed someone to talk to. No one had the time.

What the spirit revealed to me was the little things in life that I had taken for granted like the person placing produce out at the grocery store who welcomes me into the store with a warm smile a genuine "Hello", and then asks if there's anything they can help me find as I stand there trying to remember what I'm even looking for, and perhaps wondering if they might be able to help me find my way back to "the Way".

I got a delivery from Fed Ex, and after signing for it, the driver made a comment about something, and the next thing I knew we were in this in depth conversation that probably lasted a good thirty minutes. It seemed like he needed someone to talk to as much as I did, and I couldn't help think God had planted him there for that sole reason. The driver even mentioned that he was filling in for someone who was sick. He was working extra hours to do a completely different route.

It's amazing how I can be completely wrapped up in my own dismal hopeless existence, and suddenly someone else snaps me out of it by asking me for a favor. Helping someone else with their problems is an incredible way to get me out of my problems. I pulled over to see if someone needed help on the side of the road. They were out of gas. I had a gallon and a half in a gas can, and as I was pouring it into their tank, I noticed that they had a chicken running around inside their car. Why would someone need a chicken running around in their car crapping all over their stuff? My problems suddenly didn't seem so bad.

Hi, Jen. What does this mean? Looks like you accidentally erased your post or something, LoL.

How are you doing today? Better?
Hope your day went well : )
No I didn't erase anything..I meant to write it like that. I mean I'm being persecuted for being in the likeness of Jesus. Or it seems that way. :) Not many people like me these days I guess.

Persecution takes different forms. Paul told Timothy that if we desire to live Godly we will be persecuted. If youre being persecuted for the gospel, consider it joy! You'll have reward in heaven.

I know but anyone can talk about persecution .. when you actually expierence it.. thats when you find out what real persecution is and how it aligns with Jesus Christ words..its like in the moment of it you are going weak blind or want to pass out..or something..it makes you live in fear and like you can't trust anything cause everywhere you turn there's always something that makes you feel bad..it is a lot of anxiety...and a real annoyance I must say....and what's funny even though it's really bad, it's kinda addictive also..it's like you want more and more of it cause it draws you closer to Christ...and that makes it feel good...
