Who, besides Jesus, wasn't born a sinner. Paul says, "for ALL have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." So how is that error?
thanks for the reply, Romans 5:14 "Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.". and two, John the Baptist was born ALIVE WITH THE SPIRIT FROM BIRTH. these two was alive to God, for dead men cannot witness. again your assessment is incorrect.
What do you think Paul meant when he said he had not apprehended. Apprehended what? Do you believe he was talking about sin, or perfection? There are stages of perfection that have nothing to do with sin.
I thought you said everyone was born a sinner, another incorrect assessment.
You have 1 John 1:8 contradicting 1 John 3.
Nope, and here's why, listen. 1 John 3:6 "Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him."
do you know what "Sinneth" means? you practice it, or you're hard at work in it... see, you keep doing it, then you haven't change. as 1 John 1 states, 1 John 1:8 "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us."

or as 1 John 2:1 states, "1 John 2:1 "My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:" THE POINT IS NOT TO SIN, (OTHER WORDS DON'T PRACTICE IT).... (SMILE).

AND AS FOR SALVATION, we are save, because we have a PROMISE...... (smile). now do you have the PROMISE? understand we're saved by "HOPE". for if you're alreday saved why HOPE for it. listen, Romans 8:24 "For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?"
Romans 8:25 "But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it." BINGO.
so CharismaticLady are you waiting?...... :D if so then you're not yet saved but have the promise, and are waiting..... got that?.

Hi EB! I think the subject of being born with the sin nature is so supported by Scripture that it's too obvious to debate using Scripture.
But there is not a single verse that says man is born with a sin nature/totally depraved. Yes, there are many verses that says man is sinful, wicked, evil but no verse says he is born that way...that is assumed into those verses.

Cain committed murder. However until the law these deeds were not counted as sins.

Interesting that you say I'm not saved. Are you? Do you receive 100% of the things you ask for in prayer? 1 John 3:21-24 tells us we can have assurance we are pleasing in God's sight if that is true. God doesn't lie. So do you receive 100% of your prayers? If we are not abiding in Christ and receive what we ask (John 15:7) then there is no assurance for that person.

Cain committed murder. However until the law these deeds were not counted as sins.
ERROR, before Cain committed murder sin was on the books. Genesis 4:6 & 7 "And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?" 7 "If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him." now the punishment was in effect also as well as when the Law came to Israel. scripture, Romans 2:12 "For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;" understand, Cain was marked, not physically, but was "SENT" which Mark means, because he was SENT from the congergation/people in refuge as was with many who committed muder until judgment. as was with the Law in Israel, which had cities of refuge for these occasion where the murderer was sent or fleed (separated) from amoung the people, in certian cases to these cities of refuge.

LOL, LOL, #1. I'm glad that 100% of my prayers are not answered. scriptures, Romans 8:24-27 "For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?" 25 "But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it." 26 "Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. (STOP, DID YOU GET THAT CL? READ THAT AGAIN). 27 "And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God."

understand, CL you .... being all save ...? don't always what to pray for. say for instance you might THINK you're asking God for something and it could be hurtful in the future, do you believe God will answer that prayer? I thank God that he didn't answer every one of my prayers, because I knew or found out later it would have been destaviting, not only to me, but to other around me. so I'm glad God didn't answer all of my prayers. just re-read Romans 8:26 again.

NOW, you me and no one is saved right now, if so we wouldn't be here in these NATURAL BODIES .... we're promised to be saved. hence we live in HOPE of that salvation that is to .... COME when the Lord return. also this is why the COMFORTER is here until the redemption of this olf body we live in, then death is swallowed up.

see CharismaticLady, the proof that you're not yet saved is this body we're still in.... yes, you me and all of us alive or dead, rest in hope of the guarantee, THE PROMISE. BUT until the Lord return then we're saved. yes we're sealed with the promise. but the final action of the contract is not yet happen. SCRIPTURE, 1 Corinthians 15:53-56 "For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality." 54 "So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory." 55 "O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?" 56 "The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law."

ok CL. #1. if you're saved right now, "For this corruptible must put on incorruption". so are saved for ever in the body you have now correct.

#2. if you're saved right now, "The sting of death is sin". so that means you will not die now or any more correct.... (smile). Just checking. now remember if your're saved you don't die anymore. because, Revelation 20:6 "Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years." say WHAT?

a careful reading of this post again is needed by U.

LOL You still have no idea why 100% of my prayers are answered. You also don't know why I can have assurance now as scripture says. But I do agree we MUST endure to the end. You also are putting the born again spirit and our body of flesh in the same category - must take on immortality. No, that passage just applies to our bodies of bone and muscle, but our nature and spirit can take on immortality NOW.

I'm glad that 100% of my prayers are not answered.
We are told not to pray amiss. Can you think how that could be? The answer is how 100% of my prayers are not amiss and are answered.

Another ERROR on your Part. your spirit is not yours.... o_O what you call your spirit is not yours, scripture, Ecclesiastes 12:7 "Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it." see, you don't own anything. for the EARTH is the Lord's and everything in it. even your flesh is not yours.... :( did you not read? Isaiah 42:5 "Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:"

when we strip away everything we are left with ...... NOTHING, well you might say me the soul is me....... nope, listen, Ezekiel 18:4 "Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die."
when you get down to it you don't even own you, or what you call you. GOD IS ................. think about it.

Finally, you got something right. I totally belong to God, and willingly. :)

That is another reason 100% of my prayers are answered.

Seeing as Scripture uses we and your, I can claim it and say I, me, mine or my. If you don't like it, get rid of that religious spirit.
