Yes, you dont, those in Christ dont, It is an issue to you??
Even Christ used the Scriptures. He taught to use the Scriptures. And he said to teach all he commanded. So I guess Christ has an issue with people who say we don't need Scripture.
He will do as He please, and will save whom He chooses, how He chooses. Wheter you like it, or believe it or not.
And that's the thing, he told us he saves through the truth of Scripture. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

I didn't say this, as I agree with what you posted. But if you don't study them, the Holy Spirit will not reveal them to you. Or me. Or the next person.
I agree...but the holy spirit can teach us in different kinds of ways if we open our hearts minds and eyes to it..I never read the Bible growing up and I still knew a bit of truth and who Christ was ...I was familiar with it all when I was a child....without knowing a single scripture..I could still recognize him in my life on and off for years...

Then why is it you seem to know so little? Study much? You can't receive anything unless it was given to you from heaven...

Could this have been from being taught about him growing up? I grew up in a non-Christian home. But we were taught about who the Christ was and the golden rule. Plus, if we mocked a Christian? Whew boy! Praise the Lord mom and dad came to saving faith several years later. :)

Yes, you dont, those in Christ dont, It is an issue to you??, that people actually believe Jesus, or dont you think our power God is capable of saving anyone without it, It is you and many others who are limiting God. He will do as He please, and will save whom He chooses, how He chooses. Wheter you like it, or believe it or not.
Jesus said he would accept everyone that came to him...and that he would not deny them..he so said the wind blows where it will but you don't know where it goes or come and that it is everyone with the spirit so it is everyone that lets the spirit in when the spirit comes to them to invite them in and those who have accepted..the bible also says many are called but few are chosen ..as long as a person is alive it's never too late to go to Jesus..I mean he stands at the door and knock it's up to people if they answer him or not...but yeah as long as you are still breathing there is always hope...we are not to bow to his servants but they are also people to be respected for Christ sending them ....if people disrespect his servants..you are disrespecting Christ and you are disrespecting the spirit all the same! You can't have love for Jesus and despise his servant/ workmanship...that's crazy..simple fact.. Matthew 12:20-32

I didn't grow up in a Christian family which is why I need Christ and his purification...I mean I got baptized when I was 11. And I did childrens bible school and watch the movies and learn the prayer of " our father" but I never read the Bible..I hardly thought about it..my life was normal as any unbeliever..haha I found the Lord when I was in my early 20s...etc sigh I wasn't reading no bible growing up I was reading seventeen magazines listening to backstreet boys and Britney Spears..lol ha and living that kind of life etc...but it doesn't mean he didn't come in my thoughts ...cause he did often...but if you truly belong to Christ you would already know him in your heart...whether you read the Bible or not..you would feel him in your heart and soul..not just bible scriptures....

I agree the Christ gladly accepts all who come to Him my Sister. However, Romans 3:11 says there are none who seek Him. In Matthew 18:12-14 we see Him going and finding His sheep, placing them upon His shoulders, carry them and placing them back in the fold. It is He who seeks, and finds, the sheep. Not the other way around.

And the scriptures were the foundation of your knowledge of Him. And these thoughts of Him, where did they come from? Him. I am sure we are in agreement here. But the scriptures are the foundation of our faith. Without them, we have no way of knowing about the Christ.

I don't know...I know the truth naturally sometimes...but it doesn't mean I am rejecting the bible...why would I reject the Lord's words if they testify of him and God... *Eyeroll* and I'm not a teacher.. im just a normal girl at home who loves the Lord...and think of him a lot...i don't go out much..I am a loner who lives at home with her mum...I don't have a ministry...

If you give a "truth" that is against what Scripture says it does mean you are rejecting the Bible.

I agree, but remember the argument I am going against a lot here is that we don't need the Bible.
Well we certainly need whatever God provides. Since most, or even all of us on this forum, are blessed to have written Bibles, we should thank God for the blessing and make good and proper use of it. Not everyone is so blessed so we should especially hold those without up in prayer. If they are sincerely reaching out to Him, will He ignore or neglect them because they do not have access to a Bible? The key always is the heart of a person. With the right heart a person may be richly rewarded through the Bible, but as we read the blessings Jesus spoke to his audience in Matt 5:3-11 we should realize that those same blessings may be received by anyone. Owning a Bible again is not a prerequisite to receiving those blessings.

Simply having the Bible is Not a final assurance that we are OK with God. We also need to have a more personal connection with Him.
