That is an interesting analogy…..
Don’t we first have to ask why does “evil” exist as an opposite of “good”…….and why was God trying to protect us from the knowledge of it?
What do you think? Death could only come with this knowledge….
Remember, good and evil are from the same tree. This tree is opposite to the Tree of Life. Solomon mentioned about the Tree of Life as tied to Reason, prudence and wisdom. I see this Tree as The Holy Spirit (Holy Reason for me). It is all about guidance. If you are like an animal, you don't understand and uncapable. Animals guided by feelings and desires and don't see the whole picture. Why do you eat? To feel sensations in mouth and nose? If yes, you most likely obese, because some "smart" people know human weakness and manipulate by taste in their junk food.

I'm saying truth. But in the beginning you need at least to have a desire to resist. When you realize that you can't constantly resist you admit it to God. After repentance you will have aan access to the Holy Spirit, but don't enjoy feelings you have, reject yourself along with feelings. This is the barrier difficult to pass. Only after that you will have experience spiritual growth. You will see two guidances - flesh and Spirit. First, Spirit for you is God, but slowly you will realize that Spirit is a silent (wordless) prayer to God. This is how God is far away from us. For Israel law and Moses were like god. For Christians Jesus and the Holy Spirit revealed another level of percperceiving God. When you alined with the Holy Spirit, that Spirit will become your Reason, and will become you. Only then you will be able to reject temptations as "poop".

Actually it is “the knowledge” of these things that God was leaving in his his own jurisdiction. He has equal opposites in all aspects of his creation….”up, down…in, out…with, without…..light, dark..above, below….but none that are detrimental…we take most of them for granted because they are beneficial…..
Only “the knowledge of good and evil” was to be withheld…why? Because the goodness of God, when contrasted with its equal opposite would be harmful….God would tell his intelligent creation what was good and keep all evil things away from them as any loving parent would try to do…..but the one thing he had given to human kind that prevented him from preventing them access to that knowledge, was free will.
He could not go against their free will and prevent them from knowing good and evil….all he could do was make the penalty for choosing to know it, so severe that they would not dare to cross that line.
How did the devil circumvent that obstacle? He lied to the woman about the penalty….he told her “you surely will not die”…..and that lie was believed, and she set in motion exactly what Satan wanted to happen…..she offered the fruit to her husband and immediately caused a division in his loyalties. It was through Adam’s choice that plunged the human race into sin and death. If he had remained obedient he would have lost his mate, but the human race would have been spared. (Rom 5:12) The woman was deceived, but the man was not.
“The tree of life” is just as it is described……the mean by which obedient mankind could eat of its fruit and “live forever” in mortal flesh on a lovingly prepared planet….sharing life with all of God’s other creations. (Gen 3:22-24) Death was only ever mentioned as a penalty for disobedience….therefore if the humans had not eaten the forbidden fruit and were granted access to the tree of life, they never would have died.
Placing the tree off limits and evicting them from the garden, meant an extreme change in their lifestyle….
They now had to grow their own food on cursed ground, and sin would overtake their lives in way they had never imagined. Within one generation, sin produced a murderer. They experienced death for the first time as their first son took the life of his brother in an act of premeditated murder.
Making the Bible say more than it actually does, is a recipe for imagination to replace simple truths.
Animals are guided by instinct, which is programmed wisdom from their Creator, and requires no real planning on their part. All animals live in the “now”….the present is all they know as they have no concept of the past, or the future. Only humans, made in God’s image, can use their unique imagination to plan future activities, and intelligently base their decisions on past experience.
We are all subject to sinful inclinations and the devil can easily tempt us to do things that our conscience tells us is wrong. Therefore our conscience needs training to work hard to overcome the strong desires of fallen flesh.
As far as food is concerned….people can do their homework and eat intelligently, not succumbing to the food choices that come through media sources and create permanent customers for big pharma.
Only those who take heed of what the world tells them is true, will come to grief.
Nothing in a world ruled by the devil is what it appears to be.

You know a lot of information. Did God sad it to you or it was given by another human? Why are you teaching others without direct God’s guidance?

Jesus said, "The Father's kingdom is like a merchant who had a supply of merchandise and found a pearl. That merchant was prudent; he sold the merchandise and bought the single pearl for himself. So also with you, seek his treasure that is unfailing, that is enduring, where no moth comes to eat and no worm destroys."
What it was for that "merchant"?
Sinners compared to irrational animals - they are spirituality dead.
I'm not ready to be a teacher. God teaches me, and the most what I'm saying is spoken to me. I share it like reflection of my path. But certain things He requested to say to others.
For example -
"Rejecting yourself includes rejecting your feelings and desires. When God touches you, you feel Him by your flesh. Step over it. And see what's beyond."
We are the Temple of God. God can come to you if you are like a lamb. He doesn't visit your temple to lift you up and give you an inspiration. He gives you the Holy Spirit - If you alined with the Holy Spirit, It is your Priest in your Temple. The Spirit suppose to kill you. After it's happened the Spirit becomes you. The end. In reality, after receiving the Spirit, you must change your life like you are in a desert. No video, no music, no tasty food, no sex, no anything lifting your soul. Just pray to God but don't use feelings, emotions and desires. After certain period of time you will be able to withstand temptations and win. And after this spiritual growth will start. Remember, Holy priest can come inside the holy of holy only after killing a lamb. Just follow Jesus, he received the Holy Spirit and went to desert. Nothing magical. Jesus just opened this path for everyone, and we must follow. The only way to Father. All parables about Heavenly Kingdom explain that Spirit is the biggest treasure. Get rid of anything else.

I have studied the Bible for many years…all of the information I have shared with you is from God’s word or what science teaches us about the creatures he created. Research is key to understanding all things…having a clear mental picture of your subject means that you can not only understand it yourself, but can explain it to others.
No one can gain a clear understanding about the things pertaining to God unless they are guided by God’s spirit. He has always revealed his purpose to his human servants, who in turn were to pass the information on to others.
Many claim to have direct communication with God, but if that was all that was necessary, why do we have the Bible? Why did Jesus use the Scriptures to teach others? We know that he had direct access to God like no other human could….but Scripture is the written word of God, which can stand the test of time, and unlike oral traditions that can change over time, God has preserved his word for the benefit of all.
Warning. It is not easy. Don't become a goat, don't escape the altar. You will go through a lot of challenges. Lamb should be silent. If you have a family, it is more difficult. Be aware what you think about loved ones, don't let feelings take control. Don't feel, be aware and understand. There's another way to perceive the world - through the Holy Spirit. It will become your Reason, your guidance. And how sinners think of themselves as their feelings, you will think of yourself as your Reason.

Animals were not designed to be spiritual creatures…they are mortal creatures, driven by instinct, not knowledge.
I am not sure what you mean by this….how is God speaking to you? If it’s audibly, then I am sorry to tell you that this is not the way he communicates with his people. Study will teach you that he has always appointed shepherds to tend his sheep. Human guides have always been assigned to teach his people. Even Jesus assigned his apostles to take over the work he started. They were responsible for teaching everyone else.
What does rejecting yourself mean?
I do not see any of this mentioned in God’s word. If what you are saying is Bible based, that’s something we can discuss….but these are your thoughts being expressed….I have no response for personal opinion.
Again if you had scriptural references for your points we could discuss them, but these are your personal definitions of things you perceive have been delivered to you……I cannot respond to your personal interpretation of things.

They were created by God to guide unreasoning animals. Instincts don’t understand Reality. If you’ve been in a situation where you disagreed with what you felt, it may be the starting point to realize you are a slave to an unreasoning nature. There is another guidance inside people: Reason. Its voice is quiet. You can’t hear it if you’re proud, successful, rich, or self-confident. Reason is not reactive; it slowly grants understanding. But on your own, you can’t start using Reason. You need God—alive, existing here and now, or you can see Him as Reality beyond space and time. God empowers you to follow Reason, acting through the prefrontal cortex, only if you’re willing to suppress older brain regions where instincts are generated. But science alone is not enough. You need faith in God to believe there is something beyond the human world.God is Reality, and The Holy Spirit is Reason. Reason allows you to understand Reality as it is and accept the Truth. Unreasoning people can’t access either Reality or Truth. For example, the division between male and female exists for more successful reproduction. Mixed genes aid adaptation to the environment and diseases. Plus, two parents share responsibilities, which is very useful for raising children. This is not about what you feel or desire. Instinctive nature reacts to stimuli and triggers hormone production. The brain is programmed to act. Satisfying desires and feelings is the ultimate goal for an unreasoning system of guidance. But in Reality, the Truth is that the goal of sex is not pleasure. Pleasure is a side effect of making babies. For unreasoning people, however, children are the side effect. You can see that the farther a person is from God, the farther they are from Reality, and the stronger their ties to an unreachable nature. They see everything through the lens of feelings and desires. And they can’t even imagine the Truth—it’s painful and destructive to them. Behind every feeling and desire is a goal to navigate unreasonable creatures. While you can't explain animals, they just feel and want. But reborn from God can understand the real goals of living, they don't need navigation through instincts.
Thequestions are. Do you follow the Holy Spirit? Are you guided by Reason? Free from instincts? No reactive responses?
interesting, how many people see God as the main Treasure? How many among Christians? I know some believe to get eternal life in the end. They want benefits.

I’m sure of your sincerity, and I can somewhat understand your reasoning, but being devoid of Scripture leaves me nowhere to go……I do not accept you as my instructor nor trust that your words are inspired by God…..so you have nothing to teach me.
We have God’s word for a reason….as Paul said…2 Tim 3:16-17….
”All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, 17 so that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work.”
This is how God equips us….not by telepathically or audibly speaking to individuals…..he teaches us through his word…..we need nothing more from God’s spirit than to guide what we read.
Exactly, I have nothing to teach you. God Himself tteaches me and is willing to teach you. Have you witnessed God, you who claims to be the witnesses of Jehovah? God teaches individuals, anand not masses by self-sufficient ideology. I understand your confidence of understanding enough, I was a member of similar closed-circle religion. Every ideology creates it's own spirit, which explains everything in it's closed box environment by it's own environment. There is no place for God. You are full. My message from Him to ststand before God with spirit of knowing nothing! He never picked anyone for their knowledge of scriptures, or understanding. What is your treasure? God and His Spirit or ideology you formed in your mind? You all religious people protect ideologies. God not requires protection.
Just ask God Himself, if you dare. Become a lamb and ready to be sacrificed. Including your feelings! Animals have their way to know what to do. Knowledge of good and evil is guiding animals and all sinners. You all feel/know what is good for YOU, and what to avoid. Some of you have fear of punishments and follow the law. How many who really spirituality alive who don't need instinctive instructions to live and law to restrain? Get rid of the whole tree of (knowledge) good and evil.

Tell me honestly…have you found anyone anywhere who believes what you do? That’s how you tell if the devil is having a lend of you….if he has put you out on a limb, all by yourself, and no one responds to you because you have no knowledge of God’s word. There is nothing to support what you believe except your own statements, which amount to personal experience and personal interpretation of those experiences.
They are yours alone…I hope that tells you something…
Yes, my faith based on my experience. I found God. It wasn't fast, until I broke away religion. I prayed as hard and honest as I could. I begged God to guide me and teach me the right way to believe and worship, but more importantly I asked Him to help me finally become free of sins and instincts. I met God before, and I recalled how it happened. Always it was after I was in despair of having sin and being slave of my flesh. Once I even tried run away from my body, running as fast as I could with tears. And God visited me. I remember that moment when I became the center of the Universe, because the Center was inside of me. God guided me and explained me to seek for Him every day and opened to me wordless prayer. Now I can pray antime even now when I type here. I wish someone can experience it too. Sad, that people believe in their religion more then to God's ability to lead us directly. How coud I convince myself to know this is right way? No more low and high tides in my faith, no more irritations and anger. No additions, no sexual thoughts and desires. I am free, but lonely. The Treasure I found is invisible for others and I'm not smart enough, and can't speak beautifully to explain what I learned. I pray and think wordlessly. There are more meanings in God than in human vocabulary. You can understand only if you willing to step over yourself, including your feelings. There is another way to sense God, it is not by feelings. And I prayed to find someone crazy like me.
