Since I've been on this forum I noticed three types of people on here, when someone comes in and speaks the true words of God in a thread, there goes the next one trying to stop the truth from being heard or someone else comes in defending that person because what they said made them agree with that person they defend that person and go against the one who told the truth...you know what some of you people are like.... So yes, it is absolutely necessary to verify what someone is saying that they are getting directly from God outside of Scripture.

Here's the problem. How are we to verify it? How are we to know they have heard directly from God? Should we put their "word from God" in the next updated translation of the Bible?

I believe this verse is telling us God closed the canon. It is done, perfected. There is nothing else needed. So why should we give any credence to someone who says they have a new message from God?

well then, you should develop some theory as to why so much extra-Biblical wisdom is included in Scripture that we usually do not even have the source available for any more, i guess, some personal one i mean, and you might also ponder why the RCC had to cobble together a third Clown Show, i mean Council of Nicea, after they sent all the thoughtful ppl running from the first two, in order to "close the canon," which im sure it will be seen was done by Paul's wolves, strong men all.
