There is the story about the preacher who left his notes behind in the pulpit and the cleaner discovered them. She noticed that some part were underlined, and margin notes were "lift a hand here", "strike the pulpit here", "include an anecdote here". and she saw a whole section heavily underlined in red, and the margin note read, "SHOUT FOR ALL YOU'RE WORTH. ARGUMENT VERY WEAK!"
Soooooooo - which one of the verse I presented showing that Mary is the mother of Jesus was "weak" in YOUR estimation??

Yeah - that's what I thought.

Usually the Pope is the one that decree this. And Official doctrine means only official today.

The Latin phrase extra Ecclesiam nulla salus means "outside the Church there is no salvation". The 1992 Catechism of the Catholic Church explained this as "all salvation ... Each one,...shall be saved by his own righteousness,...those who regulated their lives by the law of Moses would in like manner be saved...Since those ...

Sep 6, 2000 - A new Vatican dictum issued today declares that individuals can attain full salvation from earthly sin only through the spiritual grace of the Catholic Church and that other faiths--including Protestant Christian ones--have defects that place their followers in a "gravely deficient situation" in seeking salvation.
In post #515 - I responded to YOUR claim that:
"Not all Catholics believe that only they are saved (although they have softened that a little) but it is an official doctrine."

Sooooo, where is the "official doctrine" that says only Catholics are "saved"??

Keep on shouting and abusing people who don't agree with you!
I'm not :"shoutig" or "abusing" anytbody.
YOU keep accusing me of getting angry when people "disagree" with me - which is a lie in itself.
You can disagree all you want and we can still have a civil conversation.

HOWEVER
- while you're thinking about that - why don't you provide PROOF for your gargantuan LIE from another thread that claimed:
"...the established fact that there are more male and female prostitutes in the Vatican than in any other red light district anywhere else in the world?"

THIS
is why you're angry with me - because I won't let you get away with lying . . .

It is amazing that the truth can sometimes be found , year after year,
by
seeing what the ones promoting roman catholicism oppose....
it's usually a favorable sign that something is true,
if they oppose it....

The number of male and prostitutes in the Vatican was established by Vatican insiders themselves. The researchers were faithful Catholics examining the corruptions of their own church headquarter state. They also interviewed priests in the Vatican who freely admitted participating in gay orgies and seeing nothing wrong with it. So these are not lies, nor are they anti-Catholic, but come out of concerns for the need to examine Celibacy for priests and the negative effects of it on single, red blood men who are not called to that special and valuable role.

There is a 2 hour video documentary about why Pope Benedict resigned, that establishes the truth of these things by the very people within the Vatican who participated in it.

So, if you refuse to believe the truth of it, then you are saying that your fellow Catholic believers and members of the Vatican executive are lying, and not me, who has just repeated what they have clearly said about activities they have observed in the Vatican itself.

Uh huh - so why have you failed to produce any proof??

And whe.vever I hear of "videos that exist" that "establish truth" - I always ask who is was produced by.
Anybody can make a video about ANY entity claiming ANYTHING they want.

No. It was the Holy Spirit through the gospels, Acts, and Paul who taught those things long before the church became the Roman Catholic church.

Right - it was the Holy Spirit working through His Church - and NOT just Paul.

And there was NO Bible for the first 300+ years of the Church until the Catholic Church declared the Canon of Scripture at the Council of Rome in 382 AD.

In 382 AD, the church was not Roman Catholic because the Bishop of Rome had not assumed the overall "chair of Peter" at that point. Each regional bishop had oversight of their own region, and the bishop of Rome was just one of them on equal par with the others. Actually the canon of Scripture was basically established by the end of the Second Century AD and most churches had copies of them.

Well - you failed your history test.
Time for a History Lesson . . .

Not only was there a Pope in 382 - his name was name was Damasus I.

- The Synod of Rome (382) is where the canon was first formally identified.
- It was confirmed at the Synod of Hippo eleven years later (393).
- At the Council (or Synod) of Carthage (397), it was yet again confirmed. The bishops wrote at the end of their document, "But let Church beyond sea (Rome) be consulted about confirming this canon". There were 44 bishops, including St. Augustine who signed the document.
- 7 years later, in 405, in a letter from Pope Innocent I to Exsuperius, Bishop of Toulouse, he reiterated the canon.
- 14 years after that, at the 2nd Council (Synod) of Carthage (419) the canon was again formally confirmed.

The Canon of Scripture was officially closed at the Council of Trent in the 16th century because of the perversions happening within Protestantism and the random editing and deleting of books from the Canon.

Do your homework, my revisionist friend . . .

I think Jesus taught all His permanent disciples NOT to sit in the seat of scoffers, nor stand in the way of sinners.

i.e. do not associate with them willingly, and do not listen to them (especially when they preach and teach anathema (false gospel) ) .

Then WHY did you follow the Rebels of the 16th century with their man-made doctrines?

Quote me or show where I followed any such thing as you do. (you admit following rebellious ones, apparently, as your posts reveal opposition to Jesus instead of obedience to Him)
I never said I do.

This is a classic Protestant position.
