First it was the Republican town of Midland in Michigan getting pounded by heavy rain and then dams breaking with a disastrous flood. Now I see a tornado with hail the size of grapefruit felll in Texas' 13th Congressional district -- a Republican district.

If these things had happened in Democratic areas, right-wing preachers would be talking about the wrath of God. Is there a pattern here? I'm wondering now if the upcoming hurricane season is about to devastate Republican states.

Is it a coincidence?

That plague hit Israel pretty hard too. Is something worse in store for Israel for minting a Temple coin with a graven image of Trump on it that compared him to the Biblical Cyrus?

Will Netanyahu be convicted? He's already the first sitting Israeli Prime Minister to be put on trial. Kushner, Trump and Netanyahu can say, "Peace and safety" -- could that mean "sudden destruction" is about to hit Israel?

Story here: May 17, 2020 Netanyahu: Settlement annexation will bring peace

“The time has come to apply Israeli law over [West Bank settlements] and to write a new, glorious chapter in the annals of Zionism,” Netanyahu said.

Netanyahu argued that annexation “will not make peace more distant; it will bring it closer. Peace can only be based on truth, and everyone knows it.”

Cristobal doesn't look like it will be a hurricane; but Louisiana is bracing itself.

Tropical storm warning issued for metro New Orleans ahead of Cristobal; see track

A tropical storm warning is in effect for metro New Orleans and the river parishes as Cristobal cuts across the Gulf of Mexico towards a late Sunday landfall on the Louisiana coastline, the National Weather Service said in its 4 p.m. update Friday.

Other Republican states may also be impacted with a tropical storm warning out for Mississippi, Alabama and the Florida panhandle.

Giuliano, if that's the case, come November, I suppose you'll be celebrating?

I would be relieved to have Trump out of the White House. I don't think I'd celebrate however.

I would prefer men soften their hard hearts.
Hatred for Trump comes from the Left. This is a visceral hatred which would rather destroy the country than allow Trump to remain in office. So you could start by speaking out on the sins of the evil Democrats who have been trying to destroy America, and are practically succeeding.

Jesus said that the devil has only one goal -- to steal, kill, and destroy. And the Democrats have become the devil's minions. The Democrats want to steal the elections, kill the rule of law, and destroy the Constitution. All you have to do is carefully examine their shenanigans ever since Hillary lost. (You will not find this news in the Leftist mainstream media either).

I don't understand how you can say this. Trump is the person who makes nasty comments about people. For example, he made a really nasty comment about the wife of Ted Cruz. He insults the military, the judiciary, the press -- anyone who doen't kiss him butt gets attacked. What amazes me is how Trump supporters go along with him.

Two South Carolina National Guard troops hospitalized after being near lighning strike in DC

Shortly after midnight, two members of the South Carolina National Guard were taken to the hospital after being in close proximity to a lightning strike while on duty in Washington D.C., according to the National Guard and D.C. Fire and EMS Department.

"#DCsBravest received a call for a report of 2 military personnel suffering the effects of a nearby lighting strike within the Lafayette Park perimeter,” the department tweeted. Both were transported with non life threatening injuries.”

According to Army Captain Jessica Donnely, Director, South Carolina National Guard Public Affairs the troops were transported to the hospital to address any injuries and are currently in stable condition.

“They will remain at the hospital for 24 hours for observation," she said in a statement to Military Times.

Donnely told Military Times their names will not be released because they are in the hospital. There are about 450 SCNG troops in D.C. for the civil unrest efforts, she said.

Then there is the matter of the Washington Monument being struck by lightning.

In many ways Trump is a very bad president, but all the Democratic candidates are worse. Democrats support the right of mothers to abort their babies. Murdering an unborn child is much worse than anything Trump has ever done.

May I remind you that when asked if he had ever paid for a woman to have an abortion, he brushed off the question by saying, "Next question." He denied doing it the next day, perhaps realizing he needed to if he wanted the Republican nomination. He's not really against abortion. He had been "pro-choice," but flipped when he decidedto run as a Republican.

I am still offended by how Melania denied having a brother. Her father knocked up a woman and told her to get an abortion. She refused and had a son. Later she sued for child support, and Melania's father denied it was his kid. Tests proved it was his. So why would Melania be embarrassed by having a brother who did nothing wrong? Why try to defend her father's honor when he proved what a monster he was by wanting his own child aborted?

If we seriously want to reduce the number of abortions, we need to change things so women don't feel they need to have abortions. We need social policies that make sense and that do not make the lives of women hard. The number of abortions went down under Obama. Passing laws isn't the answer because women, if they feel desperate, will have illegal abortions.

More lightning. . . .

Lightning-caused wildfires burning across state; Tucson area blaze at 0% containment

Fire crews continued working into Saturday evening to contain two lightning-caused wildfires that erupted in previous days across the state.

The Sawtooth Fire, which started on May 30 in the Superstition Wilderness, had as of Saturday burned more than 24,700 acres. The lightning-caused blaze was 64% contained as of 7 p.m. and 308 personnel were working on it, according to InciWeb, a government website that tracks wildfires.

An update on the fire given Saturday morning said that crews were working to continue increasing containment and mitigating hot spots.

Earlier in the week, residents in the northeast portion of Queen Valley had to evacuate their homes because of the fire, which at that point had burned 21,000 acres and was 8% contained. The evacuation order has since been lifted.

The Bighorn Fire, another lightning-caused fire that was ignited on Friday evening, had burned 200 acres in the Pusch Ridge Wilderness and had no containment by Saturday night, according to a statement from the Coronado National Forest.

The blaze could be seen from nearby Tucson — many posted photos of the Santa Catalina Mountains glowing with flames.

Governor Ducey (R) has his hands full, that is for sure. He may have eased up restrictions too soon, and now coronavirus cases are going up, up, up.

Gov. Ducey addresses rising number of coronavirus cases in Arizona during news conference

Since the order expired, data show an increase in the number of newly infected COVID-19 patients in Arizona, rising by nearly 70%. In addition, the death toll, as of Thursday, is just shy of 1,000.

“We stopped social distancing about two weeks ago, and it was anticipated that in 10 or 15 days that we might see a peek," said Dr. Frank Lovecchio.

"All these numbers are going in the wrong direction. It is hard to know what would happen. There’s not enough clear guidance," said State Rep. Kelli Butler (D).

In addition, the percentage of positive test results is also up, and the state's hospital bed capacity is nearing 90%.

He has certainly done evil things in the past but what matters is what he is doing now. A president who has been proabortion in the past but is prolife now is better than one who is proabortion now.

You think cutting food stamps and other assistance to poor people will increase or decrease the number of abortions? Did he care about the immigrant children that ICE mistreated? I find it hard to believe someone who doesn't care about children who have been born could genuinely care about the unborn. His position on abortion is calculated to get votes from evangelicals, and it's worked to a large degree. But seriously now, what has he actually done? What did Reagan do?

Republicans keep campaigning on this issue but nothing really gets done. They say, "Elect me and I'll appoint justices on the Supreme Court who will overturn Roe v Wade." No matter how many Republican nominees get put on the court (most of them Catholics at that), they rule that corporations are person entitled to free speech but can't muster up the courage to say fetuses are persons. They care more about the "rights" of corporations than about the unborn. What's next -- letting corporations vote? But naive Christians keep swallowing the promises, keep donating money to and voting for Republicans. If Republicans did fix it, what would they run on? What promises could they make to get money from evangelical Christians opposed to abortion?

I have never met a single person I would call proabortion -- who thought abortion was great and that every woman should have them just for fun.

I have not "met" a single gleeful MURDERER who revels in their INFANTICIDE, but I have seen plenty on Television that show their speeches, and the Leftist Media playing it over, and over, and over in celebration!

Good morning, Giuliano.

Meh, about the hurricanes, we're so used to them in Louisiana that it's like putting on a rain coat. You get used to it after awhile.

I will say that it I do think a message is being sent, however. There does need to be a softening of the heart on the Republican side. Now that's NOT to say the hearts of many on the Democratic side are soft, at least not amongst the leadership. Many of them are Satanists, and have no intention of softening their hearts. But they should certainly be prayed for nevertheless. Their people like anyone else.

But personally I find myself being much more kind, courteous and caring towards African Americans than I ever have been now; more interested in spending time with them and developing closer ties. And they seem more loving and friendly to me, too. I think that is what needs to be taking place now. Certainly we can't expect those whose hearts are given over to evil to change (like black guys who run up to some innocent white dude and start decking him just because he's white). But I think God is drawing His own together, and if this is what it takes to bring us closer together then I'm all for it.
