Mmm forgot about Destiny. Not much to say about Tamaki except that I think he's doing something positive with the man up programme.

The idea is to resolve the tyranny of poverty in the world.

Thanks for the bigger picture, yes freeing the poor is a brilliant thing.
There are many agenda's but what drives the world is life economics over which no one has control.
Back in 2016 we were about to enter peak oil, upon which our civilisation is currently based, plastics, fuel for planes, lorries, planes, power stations etc. Saudi Arabia was a pivotal influence, then shale oil was discovered. Things have now shifted, 30+years of a cushion to shift our production focus.
Empires have arisen, conquered and fallen because you cannot manage and control vast groups with all their different aspirations etc.
Take the USA and its turmoil, or China, or the Soviet Union. What keeps things together is economic and technical success.
The fear we should have is the social destruction of boundaries into a virtual world of hendonism and corruption. It has taken the west by storm, with any sexual practice knocking on the door of who cares. So vast are these pressures, we know where it will end if we hit a techological brick wall or medical one, like covid-19 but worse. And we will. It is just a question of time.
In Christ though we have the answer, the Kingdom of heaven which conquers this world and is eternal in the Lord. God bless you

I was impressed by how she dealt with the Christchurch mosque shootingsl. I think she did it in a way that calmed people down, and not provoking more violence by rousing anger.Let's turn this thread around,. Now what other good things is Jacinta Ardern and the NZ Labour party doing?
It can be easy to be critical of world governments, but they still do some good things.
Governments have a hard time coping with different cultures and world views. I spent years talking with muslims about love and respect, and within the faith there was no real answer, it just got lost. What I saw was actually justice and truth not working, mainly around women and their rights in family, in working, in marriage, in ownership, in how they live their life. It is the truth of abuse and behaviour that opens up society and starts to bring about what is important, people loving one another, not idiology.
Most of what governments do is care, hospitals, schools, local amenities, governance of building, regulation of illegal behaviour, prisons, army, police, the courts, international trade, economic balances. And it is amazing how good a job they do. We talk of the Greeks with 20,000 people in Athens having a great society. With our millions of people, and massive machines and distribution systems, we are like heaven in comparison.
And that fact our governments work, our kids are educated, kept safe, prosper is amazing, I mean jaw dropping amazing. There is no other time in human history like the one we now live in. Potentially the words I write here can now be viewed by the world, in seconds. There is so much hope, and so much goodness that can be brought about, Praise the Lord. And we know Jesus, the Saviour of all, Amen.

Sounds wonderful doesn't it? So why oppose it? Why be sceptical? In fact, with all the turmoil building on the Planet isn't this the ideal solution?.......
ok, here's another angle....without a carrot(s) there is no getting the people to go where there are wanted.....and where are they wanted? irreversible servitude! Hasn't that been the agenda of the worlds Kingdoms throughout history? What! you didn't know or you dare to differ? Ahhhh yes, I forgot that we forget! .....A new generation comes along and how can they be taught the horrors of prison camps, of arbitrary detention, of all the freedoms previous generations have fought for etc etc. These oppressions are like fairy stories from a by gone era which few relate to.
Is anybody even familiar with the history of the Great Empires that have come and gone and how they operated? Chances are that most have never heard of them or have only been regaled with the glories of the oppressors .....Babylon, Persia, Greece, Rome not to mention Empires in the East and modern day Soviet Union.
Ahhh yes, to get back to the carrot......and isn't it a glorious carrot......surely anybody opposing/resisting it must be badly led astray if not out of their mind!
Have films like George Orwells 1984 and Animal Farm lost their impact?......the up and coming generation have probably never heard of them let alone seen them or if they have its just another tale; a dusty few of the dozens of presentations of oppression (acted out by 'stars' who are regaled as semi gods and glorified as such) that flood the market known as entertainment...... a nice programming package of adultery, theft, lies, murder, occult, wars, spiritualism and religion all inclusive.
Let's get back to our games and not be so negative; we're allowed to have hobbies and interests you know! Can't you see the leaders are promising and planning a bright future for all?
On the other hand, we can imagine bogeymen everywhere and flee when no one is pursuing. Oh the pleasures of paranoia.
I still don't get it why the link was in Chinese. What's the connection with China? Why would a political group in New Zealand use Chinese?

You need to read and study prophecy. See what the Bible has to say about the kingdoms and governments of this world, and whose they are. And the true agendas motivating them. Not to say there aren't a few individuals in government who are well meaning and doing their sincere best to serve their communities. And it may be that even Good had placed them in their irregular position to be a voice for the downtrodden... A voice for those in greatest need in society. "The least of these My brethren". But in general, governments are tools in the hands of an enemy seeking whom he may devour. They are not your friend. They do not seek the welfare of mankind, but are led by men who seek to enslave. They are powerful and have far greater control and influence than you could imagine.
They are represented in prophecy by the woman of Revelation 18. Mystery Babylon the Great. And the judgement that is brought upon her is shared with those who sympathies, treaties, and connections are in accord with her policies.
KJV Revelation 18
23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.
24 And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.
All that were slain? This is not just a single enterprise or a single nation or even a single church. Babylon represents everything opposed to God in the last days. Materialism. False religion. All the merchants of the earth.. the great corporations listed earlier on... The oil corporations... Mining... Fashion... Building.... Pharmaceuticals... Food... And spiritual enslavement. (Verses 10-13). Here is pictured the great global fascist union of church, state, and corporate power and greed that deceives all Nations and is finally and irrevocably judged and destroyed. This union is forming now. America will be there heart and soul of this union. Australia and New Zealand and Britain and the rest of the world will join them in this unholy matrimony and the world will even profess that it is being done with God's blessing and approval, even be His purpose.

There are great portentous events yet to take place, but the time is short. In just 12 months we have had major catastrophic drought then fires and storms followed by floods, then the global debate over lgbtqfkbsdzopr issues, then covid, now race riots. All this in just 12 months. Conflict and debate and controversy followed by disaster and controversial government response to them all. Life is not as pleasant and comfortable as some would have us believe. People are suffering. Everywhere. And the churches by and large are impotent.
Even to surrounding the government itself and urging government to provide the right solutions... Which it cannot. And will not.
I agree that she did well to show empathy and compassion for the victims. But what else could she do? Copy Bush and go to church, proclaim from the pulpit a war on terror and bomb Australia?

The president of the Gorbachev/ Foundation USA, Jim Garrison ( not the same Jim Garrison of Kennedy assassination inquiry fame) said this:
We are going to end up with world government. It’s inevitable...There’s going to be conflict, coercion, and consensus. That’s all part of what will be required as we give birth to the first global civilization.
The Gorbachev foundation is one of several highly informal groups in US and world politics dedicated to the establishment of one world government. And they are all closely linked to the UN, with many having common membership and speaking rights.
Philip Jessup, a CFR member and World Court justice, writes, “National sovereignty is the root of the evil.” It sounds like Jessup believes individual nations should not exist. Could this be the United Nations' idea for a new world order?
